Nail Tech

This nail place on Hamilton almost to the corner of Main is pretty busy, and usually they do a good enough job on regular mani pedis, especially if you get the owner who is quite good. Unfortunately what I visited for I did not find to be a good value, gel nails were more expensive here than at other places and the selection was nowhere near as good. Typically one can get the gel polish to match almost anything selected for the pedicure, but in this case it was so hard to get anything to match the tech suggested French. I told her I didn’t want to do that and have them chip in a few days and was willing to pick something else out that we could match, but she was pretty sure they wouldn’t. Sadly within a few days 5 nails did chip, not a good value for what I paid. Though they don’t charge to take them off I frankly would rather pay to have it done the proper way, the way they do it is faster but really rips up your nails.
If I were to rate this based just on the gel nails this would be a one or two star review tops, but pedicures are ok here. The techs tend to be better at the massages if you’re looking for that sort of thing and based on the male attendance I would say that’s a plus for them, just not really what I look for in a nail place, I could take it or leave it massage wise. I just want the nail service and though I may come back for a pedi I won’t be back for gel.
