Description

Specialties

Muse Gallery specializes in fine art. We represent over 50 artists from around the world. We carry some traditional, contemporary, modern, abstract, and transitional artwork. We also carry many forms of sculpture. Our artists are mid-career artists, meaning that they have reached a point in their career where they are well represented and have collections in major museums, and also most of the time private and corporate collections. We take pride in the artists that we represent and believe they are some of the strongest and well recognized artists in the country.

History

Established in 1998.

A Muse Gallery started on the soul and determination of its owner, Caren Petersen. Mrs. Petersen had been an art consultant for 10 years before starting her own business. A Muse Gallery first opened in 1998 at 996 West Third Avenue just outside of Grandview Heights. A Muse Gallery has also had many other venues in the past including Global Living, Two Muse on Grandview Avenue, and a gallery in Taos, NM. Our current location is in Historic German Village on Whittier St. across from the Brown Bag Deli. We are also featured at many homes for sale and condo complexes around the city of Columbus. Come check us out!

Meet the Business Owner

Caren P.

Business Owner

Caren Petersen has been in the art scene for many years. She started out as an art consultant, and ten years later opened A Muse Gallery. Muse Gallery (she dropped the «A» when she moved to German Village in 2010) represents over 30 international contemporary living artists that are speaking of our world, through thought-provoking, well-crafted work. Caren loves to engage her clients in discussions about the art and artists, and to educate and build relationships through the artwork she sells. Not only is she a well respected business owner, she is also a loving wife and mother of six girls.
