Really enjoyed our visit. The smoked turkey sandwich was really good as was the brisket platter Precious ordered. Be sure to order a side of fried green tomatoes.

The food was yummy but everything else wasn’t. Had to wait over 30 minutes for our food and then watched as the girl went to 2 other tables to try to give our food away. Finally had to yell out that I thought it was ours. Might want to try a number system for getting the food out. Then no silverware or napkins/paper towels on the table. Had to go up and ask and then they forgot one of our sides. Had to get that. A lot of work and it is very loud in there. Lastly watched as someone went out to their car, changed their child and then returned with the dirty diaper and put it into the trash, in the middle of the place. Not the restaurants fault but gross!

Stopped by while I was traveling on 26 and had a quick lunch. Had the brisket plate with fried green tomatoes. Fried green tomatoes were good. The brisket was tender and falling apart with a little bark on the outside. Just Devine. One of the best briskets I’ve had.

The staff was friendly and the food was great. I had the 50⁄50 barbecue sandwich, which was part pulled beef brisket, and part pulled pork. Every bite was delicious, and moist throughout. Also, the selection of vinegar-based, mustard-based, and traditional BBQ sauces made it appropriate for a place on the Carolina-Tennessee border area. I will definitely stop here again the next time I come through.

Excellent!!! Got smoked turkey sandwich so fantastic, stopped half way through to leave this review. Well price, home made cooked chips were splendid. Definitely recommend eating here to anyone stopping through tryon. I’ll be back!

Thud place was pretty good! Brunswick stew was good, the smoked wings were incredible! The service was very good. The problem was none of the sauces were very good at all but aside from that it’s definitely a place worth trying if you like whole-in-the-wall restaurants.

If you are coming thru Columbus you must stop here. excellent BBQ and attentive staff. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but don’t let that stop you. The«Mountain Chips» are great!

I haven’t been here in a while, but this was a very regular stop of mine when I lived in the area. The price is right and the food is amazing. The owner, Shane, really knows how to make some good ‘cue. The potato salad has to have crack in it. I am addicted. Bottom line… this place is the best. Now I need to head back south and get some.

Awesome barbeque for the price. You get a very good meal for a very low price. I had the brisket, which was well made and seasoned. All tables had delicious barbeque sauces. They also give you a very generous portion of fried green tomatoes and hush puppies. This is true southern comfort food.

Excellent food, we had the pulled pork, and beef brisket both where well prepared. Large portions, to go boxes where required. Only thing it took 30 mins to get my order. Would stop again.

The pulled pork was very good. Coleslaw was meh. Mountain beans are kidney and baked mixed together. No desserts. An easy to get to place off if the highway. Cheaper than fast food.

This is the only place in Polk County that I eat at regularly. They have some of the best BBQ in the area and it is a must do.

We stayed in Columbus for four days last week and ate at Mountain View three times. Really tasty pulled pork sandwiches — good meat and delicious Old Mule sauce. You can tell it is family owned — it was clean and neat and the staff friendly, professional and helpful. You can’t visit NC without hitting the local BBQ and this was a treat.

Excellent pulled pork and homemade chips. A family meal(for 4– our three kids are 10, 12 and 14) perfectly satisfied us, for both portion size and variety. Free drink refills. Quick and friendly service.

One of my favorite places to eat in Polk County, NC. They serve amazing bbq sandwiches with flavorful sides. Their seasoned fries are my favorite! They stock multiple different flavors of Old Mule bbq sauce, which goes wonderfully with bbq pork sandwich. I think they even have some homemade desserts for sale! The interior is nice, and it has good ambiance. Similar to the feel that you get from Zaxby’s, but without all the junk on the walls. Whenever I’m in NC, I try to eat here, and I recommend it.
