Read the negative reviews and figured I was a pioneer of having dysport/​botox done so I would be ok. I bought the Groupon and was immediately «mapped» by the doctor. I figured I would need more than than the groupon covered so I was prepared. As the Dr. Was injecting I told her I couldn’t feel the injections. She said «don’t worry you’re getting it». I had no redness and no injection marks when I left. I called at 2 weeks and told them I wasnt getting the results I was expecting with 60 units of dysport ($ 350). They told me to wait a few weeks and call back. I made an appointment to come in and was met by the assistant that helped the dr. with the procedure. I was ushered into a room, and told that it had been too long since I had the injections, and no way would they touch it up. I showed her that I didn’t get any results and gad full range if motion and was told that it must have worn off. At 7 weeks! She told me I should have come in sooner. This is a scam. Please don’t buy this. I wish I would have payed attention to the reviews. It is a complete waste of money. I will never go back, and I would never recommend it to anyone.

I have had a variety of medical spa services at monarch for over the past four years now. I love them! They are always up to date and have the latest products and treatments and the staff is well trained. They regularly have open houses where you can learn about what’s new. Dr. Cole-​Sedivy is very knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the services. I am so glad I found this practice.

I hate writing bad reviews and I really wanted to like this place because it’s so close to where I live but I had a not great experience. Paid more for botox then I ever have in my five years of getting it regularly and had almost no result. Had to go back to my regular plastic surgeon to get more so it would be evened out. Even they were shocked at how bad my forehead still looked! A very expensive mistake and I should have known because the reviews were awful and I had read them and went anyway! I will say I didn’t find the office staff to be nearly as awful as the other reviews did. Everyone was perfectly nice in my opinion. I don’t know what happened but I need to have trust and it’s not there.

I have two separate experiences here; both of them negative. One was for a Columbus Outlet online deal. It completely misrepresented the price. It was 10x higher than what was promised. The «doctor» came in only after my insistence that I should get what I had paid for and proof of it in writing with my printed deal. They wouldn’t budge but gave me some filler at a «discount» and sent me on my way.
Recently I have been shopping Ulta Therapy procedures and wanted to see what Monarch’s price was. After waiting a few weeks to get an appt. with Jill (on my day off/​my birthday), I went in only to hear I wasn’t on the calendar. This, after a confirmation phone call Friday with a plug for flu shots.
Seriously???Never again. Shame on me for being so naïve.

I temporarily went to Monarch solely because I was looking to establish a primary care provider since moving to Ohio and this location was really close to my house. However, I did not realize how focused they are on cosmetic products and procedures… I felt incredibly out of place and didn’t really get the care I was looking for at the time. Just go to groupon and you’ll constantly see Monarch offering discounts on botox or laser hair removal. I had no interest in anything cosmetic… just basic health. I hardly ever got to see the actual physician I requested, and was constantly given a CNP (no offense to CNPs. I just wanted to actually build a relationship and get to know the person I thought would be my PCP!) They also tried to get me to come to their office for gynecology needs… which I found somewhat odd. I already have a good OBGYN office and I would think most women would want to go to a gynecologist for all of those kinds of checkups.
I found a new PCP about a year ago, but continued to receive e-​mail spam from Monarch. There was never any option or link to «unsubscribe» at the bottom of these e-​mails, and I eventually had to call twice to tell them to remove me from any future e-​mails, automated phonecalls, etc.

UPDATE: GROUPON DID REIMBURSE ME HALF OF WHAT I PAID FOR THIS NIGHTMARE! THANKS A MILLION GROUPON; YOU ROCK! I purchased a Groupon for 20ML of Botox or the equal of Dysport. Well, this is what they did… they sucked me with the $ 100+ dollar, then they got me in the chair and asked me for 300 more to do the complete forehead. Listen folks, I am not cheap, 20ML of Botox will not even fix the «11» between your eyes. I moved here from Atlanta, totally trusted my plstc surgeon, went in, they did what they did, always paid a fair price for it. In Ohio, man they mark this stuff up! the sad thing is that monarch jacked up the price and then wanted me to spend another 300 $
nonetheless, I ended up at Advanced Laser off Bethel; I got great botox from them; did my whole forehead, $ 300. I did not know they were a GP; I just thought they did cosmetic «stuff»
The funny thing is that the dr. came in and she had her «wish list» not what was important to me or what I wanted, but what she wanted. left the room, had her nurse give me the «sticker shock» based on what dr. wanted. t
these folks are in it for the cash. if you see a groupon for them, beware. they will charge you upward of 14 $ per ml; call advance laser center; talk to mike; they are honest and not just in this for the money!

I can’t speak to their cosmetic procedures — but I attempted to go for a medical appointment, and it was an absolute nightmare. Anyplace that makes me yearn for the high customer service standards of the OSU Medical Center is really quite a place. I’m not quite sure why they profess to offer family practice medicine when they are so clearly focused on the cosmetic things, but hopefully they will exit the non-​cosmetic market soon.

I started going to Monarch after I got a Groupon for laser hair removal. I quickly switched my general practice needs over as well.
Honestly, I don’t have super high standards for general practice based on the last place I was at. Sheesh, that was a nightmare. But at Monarch I feel like Kate (who I go to) actually pays attention to what I say and wants me to understand my health. Case in point, after bloodwork she sat down and explained EVERYTHING to me (and I ask a lot of questions). I never got the impression that she was rushing me or that I was wasting her time. I assume this is standard practice, but a friend of mine got bloodwork done at her general practice place and the results came in the mail to her home with no explanation.
I can always get an appointment fairly quickly and I never have to wait very long either in the waiting room or in the examine room.
Yes, they do have an emphasis on cosmetic procedures, but it’s never been brought up to me as an option. It’s probably because I don’t need it due to all my clean livin’. :)
If you are in the market for a new general practice place I’d definitely check them out.. . if you are a woman. I’ve never seen a man there, ever.

I was a patient at Monarch Health for several years, staring in 2003, but last year opted to leave the practice after it became clear to me (in every way) that they were all about the money-​makers (laser hair removal, chemical peels, botox and the like) and less about the medical practice.
I’m sure my first clue should have been in 2004 when they bought a huge billboard along 315/​Olentangy at the Lennox that had some «Mrs.Ohio» winner lauding them for their great services. She SEEMED happy… but you couldn’t tell from looking at her face — it was too stuffed with Botox!
I was constantly bothered that I’d go in for a check-​up and be bombarded with Cosmetic procedure videos and commercials playing over and over and over in their waiting room. My last straw was plucked when the woman at the front desk, in response to a client who was concerned about going through with a cosmetic procedure, persuaded her into putting down a down-​payment by saying «It’ll be fine! You should get it! You really want it! Plus, the Doctor will give you something for your nerves.»
I’d tried for a long time to work-​out some of the issues, even talking very plainly with Joyce about my frustrations. In our conversation I even noted that there weren’t even any informational/​educational materials in the exam rooms (you know… the «don’t get the flu!» or the «what you need to know about your ovaries» bulletin boards and pamphlets) because there were too many cosmetic service pamphlets, etc.
To be fair, and to be a realist here, it’s because of these cosmetic services that they can (quite literally) afford to spend time with their medical patients. Not once did any of their staff ever verbally «push» their services on me (they didn’t have to, it was as loud, non-​verbally, as it could possibly have been.)
I was fair and honest with them when I left, telling them ALL of my concerns. They probably do a great job with the cosmetic stuff… but ladies… you look great just as you are. Body image issues? See a therapist. Doctor issues? See someone else.

I have been a patient at Monarch Health for several years now and cannot stress enough how happy I have been with the attention I have received. I have been very lucky to have been treated by both Nichole Robinson and Joyce Casey in the past and both of these ladies (CNP’s) are as knowledgeable, kind and caring as they come. I have felt flustered in the past when trying to explain my ailments/​woes/​etc. but the anxiety doesn’t get to me since I’ve been a patient at Monarch Health. As a patient, you do not get the impression that you are being rushed through the door. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave, the experience is pleasant and informative.
If you’re looking for a new family doctor, are new in town or are simply looking for services such as chemical peels, laser treatments, etc., please consider them. They are a one stop shop for many different services so check out their website!
