Huge fan of LNS. I’ve dined in a few times now, and I don’t seem to be having the same service issues as some of the other people who have reviewed it. Great pizza, great service, and walking distance from my office. What more could I want?

I was in Columbus for a concert with my boyfriend and after that ended we were desperately seeking a slice. That late at night we couldn’t find anything open until we found This place. They saved our lives! Pizza is amazing!!! Sauces to dip in a plenty and many great beverages to choose from. Next time we come to Columbus, we’ll be back for sure!

I want to preface this with a suggestion to Mikey’s: instead of making it seat yourself OR counter service, just make the whole thing counter service that you can keep«for here» if you want. I already see people going through the to-go line and then sitting down with their pizza. If people want it for here, give ‘em a number that they can stand up on their tables so your servers can find them. Streamline, baby. It’s better than splitting the attention of your staff between two different restaurant concepts. Plus, diners still already have to get up if we want sauces and stuff(and we always do) so it’s not a complete sit-down experience as it is. It does seem like this location is starting to iron out its service issues. We’ve been twice recently(within the last month) and service has been generally good. Not perfect, but good – about on par with what one expects from Mikey’s, which is to say that every Mikey’s location has that indie vibe of «we’re doing the best we can but we’re not TGI Friday’s, k». You’re not going to be enthusiastically greeted with flair. The pizza is what you’ve come to expect from Mikey’s. Big slices. Pretty okay toppings. Some unusual seasonal offerings. No gluten free option(I mean. it’s a local pizza joint. .. . I’m sensitive to people who have food allergies but pizza is pretty gluten-y by nature and it can take awhile to find a good GF crust option). The space is cool. The service is on the slow side, but they’re improving it. We ordered a whole pie on our last trip and it came out in about 20 minutes. They gave us a time estimate before we confirmed our order so we could decide if we wanted to wait or switch to slices. We got refills. It’s a good start, and I hope the people who gave a brand-new restaurant two stars for service will go back and try it again(because really?).

Love the pizza. Service needs work. Really easy suggestion: change the sign up front from«dine in» to «please seat yourself» or «open seating». We just walked in, moderately busy but not crazy. Stood up front for 5 minutes even though there were open tables and the people by the door are the to-go people so they didnt even acknowledge us. I tried yelling at the closest one to ask if we should seat ourselves but she couldnt hear me because the music and noise. Had to walk down and ask bartender and they said yeah just grab a seat. Not too big of a complaint and the waiter greeted us rigbt away, just a suggestion

Been here a few times now, and I swear the service gets worse every time. This last visit was the worst though. No refills, no asking if we need anything. We wanted dessert, but someone just dropped our check. She wasn’t even our server. I don’t know if they’re trying to go for that lame 90’s restaurant concept of «rude servers lawlzzz», but that schtick is tired. The pizza is still awesome, so if you want some LNS, stick with the food trucks or the Old North locations. This downtown one is a fail.

Full disclosure: I’m a huge fan of Late Night Slice. The restaurant is tucked in the little 4th Street section downtown. We went on a weeknight so parking wasn’t an issue. The crowd was fairly lean too. The atmosphere is pretty cool with interesting pizza art and minimalist décor. They serve the usual fare — mushroom, spicy pepperoni, cheese, and one weekly special. I was adventurous and ordered the weekly special, Buffalo Chicken — oh so good! They also have full specialty pizzas to order. In addition, they have a pretty full menu including salads, appetizers, beer, cocktails, etc. Service was decent and pricing the same as the food trucks. No complaints here. Dreams really do come true.

I really love this new location quite a bit. From the bar to all the funky art on the wall, it’s a very warm and fun environment, and the smell of pizza permeates throughout making it hard to not order food if you only came for a drink. The service is a little slow, but that could still be from it being new, and it seemed like they just didn’t have enough people on to accommodate a packed house. We grabbed some cheezy breadsticks, and they were pretty good, but they wouldn’t blow your mind. I figured we’d give it a shot, since they’re newer, but we really came for the pizza. You can order a whole lot of different pies here, but the pizza by the slice is limited to the pepperoni, mushroom w/garlic, Italian sausage, cheese, spicy pep, and the pizza of the week. All of the specialty pizzas require you to order the whole pizza like most pizza shops. It was just the two of us, and I didn’t think we could handle a whole pie, so I tried the spicy pep and pizza of the week which was some Italian sauage with kraut type deal. Our server didn’t even know, and I couldn’t tell you what was on it after trying it. Not a fan. The spicy pepperoni, however, was super delicious, and I actually liked it a lot better than the slices I’ve had the past couple months from the truck. The crust is nice and crispy(almost too crispy), and the pizza itself was not greasy at all. Every time I get it from the truck, everything seems to be soaking in grease. You can grab the 4 famous sauces up at the front in a serve your self station, and I always grab the slut sauce or whatever they’re calling it these days. Overall, I’d definitely be back here, and if I’m down on S. 4th, it’s definitely a great place to stop in for a quick bite. You don’t have to sit down, and you can actually order food truck style right up at the front when you go in. It’s a great add on to the area, and when I come back, I’ll be trying those cannoli chips for dessert!

GREAT pizza, much less expensive than Harvest, generous happy hour. I’ve dined in and had take-out twice; it’s dangerously close to German Village. They’ve taken the quirky, non-pretentious vibe from the original food truck lot and built a fun restaurant around it. It’s what you’d hope for out of a LNS restaurant.

Best pizza EVER! The atmosphere is fun. I go at least once a week for lunch and my waitress Heidi is the best ever :) I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t already!

Let me start by saying LNS is my favorite pizza EVER. I go to the Short North one all the time and well before it was famous. I have literally brought all my friends to get this pizza. I honesty was stoked to find out the downtown location was opening up. The downtown location is well set up, the art and music make it a cool atmosphere. It’s also legit you can get any specialty made pizza as a whole pizza(Except the Mac and cheesus) but bring back the Faygo. It’s worth going but wait 6 months until you go, aka summer 2016 Why? the staff is still learning. Not a big hangout location like Oddfellows yet. Service is slow and kinda getting the hang of things: two examples First time, November 2015. The waiter was awkward and talked way too much and forgot drinks. The bar was empty total of 10 people at 11:30 on a Saturday. The bald waiter w/the beard is also kinda sarcastically rude. Second time, Dec 2015: after 40 min I asked about my pizza and they forgot to put it in. So they gave us 4 pieces of cheesy bread($ 3.50 value) for 5 people, I was so happy I almost pooped myself. They didn’t even say sorry? It also then took a total of 55 min for the pizza to finally come out, we had to ask for refills and our bill. Bald guy again. Verdict: foods great, atmosphere is getting there but wait until the summer so the bald waiter moves on and they get it together.

Delicious, crunchy crust, cheesy slices as always. Very poor, rude service. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way for the sit down experience. Tried it twice and I’ll stick to grabbing a slice at different venues throughout Columbus. Wasn’t worth the dealing with parking or the über ride to get there.

Ordered build your own pizza with mush and spinach. Took an hour to arrive and was tepid and no spinach. It was 25 for a bad pizza. Will not be back.

A literal short sprint down the street from the bus station at 1 am and my need to feed was met. I had precious few moments to choose a slice or two, grab a drink, and sprint back to the bus station. Mission success. Choosing just two slices out of the many available was the greatest struggle, especially when a handful of them are STARWARSTHEMED! Then I had to choose a beverage from their array of craft sodas– hell yeah! Next time I’m in Columbus I plan on spending more than just a few minutes rushing in and out because based on my short time there the place seems like a REAL chill place to start, end, or spend your evening. The slices I nabbed? Spicy pepperoni and Italian sausage– good job me cause they rocked my socks. Washed down by a good craft root beer. Right on. I didn’t have time to check the draft beer line-up or the finite details of the establishment. Unilocal,I’ve failed you. Anyone on the fence about going there do it and report back so that I may find peace in my shortcoming before returning for full fledge pizza and beer driven redemption. I know what you’re thinking cause you’ve an above average intelligence(you’re a Unilocaler so it’s obvious): «How can this guy throw out 4 stars for such a quick experience? What is he some sorta Unilocal Ninja Star Master? Or do his stars mean so little, have such minimal worth he hands em out willy nilly? Has he no honor? WHODOESHETHINKHEIS??» Everybody just calm down! And go get a slice. Me? I’ll be back, Mikey’s Late Night Slice… I’ll be back.

The pizza at this location tastes the same as it does at any other LNS locations. For someone like me who has a lot of food allergies, the menu is not very friendly. It is very inconvenient to get dairy-free food and there are no gluten-free options outside of the salads. If you have food allergies and are looking for pizza in this area, I recommend Yellow Brick or Harvest Pizza(their prices are better, too). The pizza is pretty expensive for the quality and their happy hour specials aren’t very exciting. $ 1 off well drinks and beers isn’t that great of a deal. The service is not good. It is VERY slow. We weren’t given plates, either, which makes it very difficult to enjoy the dining experience. The restaurant itself is very cool. I love the artwork on the walls and the setup. However, I do not recommend dining in. The only way to enjoy LNS is to get your pizza to go. If you want sit down pizza, you’re going to have a much more rewarding experience at Harvest Pizza or Yellow Brick. For the price of one and a half slices of pizza at LNS, you can get a whole pizza at HP during the lunch hour. LNS is really only appropriate if you need carry out pizza in a hurry or if you are highly intoxicated.

What is not to love? Did a lunch/dinner slice or two just to check it out. Love the newer creativity on the pies, the ability to get breadstick wedges and some suds to wash it all down. Decent vegetarian grazing opportunities. Quite the array of bottled libations including the nostalgic NY Seltzer!

I’m a big fan of Late Night Slice pizza after a day/night of drinking. I don’t really feel like I need to describe the pizza here. If you haven’t had LNS by now, then you’re likely not interested in having it. The pizza is the same here as at the other locations, and if you like it, then this is another great place to get it. The space is very nice. It’s fairly large and there’s room to spread out compared to some other locations. The service was fairly slow, and I wouldn’t say our server was especially friendly. The beer list is pretty limited. That being said, I think everyone in the bar was there to refill their bellies after a night of drinking(it was a Friday night around 10:30), so great service and an amazing beer list are not necessarily priorities. I do wish the pizza had been a little faster. I’d totally come here again after a night of drinking. I doubt I’d consider it a frontrunner option in any other situation, though.

I love that there’s a Late Night so close to the office! We’ve been here a few times since it’s opened. The pizza is great — the same quality you would expect from any other location. I also like that you can build your own pie. However the service at this location is really hit or miss. Sometime your server is on top of it other times it takes 15 minutes before somebody acknowledges you and takes a drink order. Maybe they’re still working out the kinks — but definitely swing by for a great slice of pizza!

Maybe even 5 stars? Yes almost! Tried out this new location tonight and it did not disappoint! I love the building and the feel of this location. The staff was really friendly and helpful too. There is not a huge beer list, but I don’t care because I’m not drinking anything fancy with my pizza.(I prefer a PBR with pizza so it doesn’t overpower anything). The pizza! Mikey’s pizza is just amazing. I love the crust here. I’m a huge crust person and this one is not too thin and not too thick. It is also nice and crisp on the bottom soft in the middle. Don’t get it? Just believe me! The sauce is really food and the toppings are fresh. I like the traditional pepperoni and banana peppers. I will be back here for sure!
