Since 1890, Central Ohio homeowners and businesses have entrusted the experts at Martin Carpet Cleaning for their carpet, furniture (fabric and leather), tile & grout and area/​oriental rug cleaning needs. In addition, they offer area/​oriental rug repair services, custom rug padding, and facility services including floor mats, dust mops, wet mops, aprons, kitchen towels, shop towels and bathroom products. Martin Carpet Cleaning is one of the oldest continuously operated family businesses in Central Ohio. The family is proud to have their third and fourth generations (John and his sons Chad and Brent Martin) currently operating the business. Their founders, Mary and Frederic Martin, originally moved from Columbus west to California in the hopes of finding gold. Instead, they learned the art of oriental and area rug cleaning and found the inspiration for their dream of owning their own business in Columbus. Now, 121 years later, the Martins continue to build on the strong traditions

Things started out well with polite service men. Turned south very quickly when I asked them to go back over a strip of carpet with pet stains that still stunk as much when they were done as when they started. By the time they finished arguing with me about why their service couldn’t really clean it they could have just gone over it one more time like I’d ask. Didn’t ask for perfection, just another pass with the cleaner, but I guess that was too much. Before they left they offered an apology, and made another pass on the rug, which I appreciated, so I upped the review.

Arrived an hour late, the guy that was going to clean my carpet was unbelievably rude.
Due to the extreme tardiness and rudeness I had to turn them away.
So I have no idea how well they clean carpets but they have terrible customer service.

I recently moved to Columbus and needed someone to come clean the carpeting in my apartment. Based on Unilocal reviews, I contacted Martin Carpet Cleaning and from the first phone call to the service I received, everything was excellent. The woman I spoke to in order to schedule was pleasant, polite, and helped me as best she could with an estimate based on what I told her needed cleaned. Scheduling was very easy, and the cleaners arrived exactly on time. Both men were nice and professional. They did an amazing job for a very fair price that ended up being almost exactly what was estimated on the phone. I would definitely recommend them for anyone who needed to have their carpeting cleaned.

I dropped off a filthy Oriental rug that has been by the front door. It turned out like new. I couldn’t believe it was the same rug. Also, the staff is super-​nice and I thought the price was reasonable.

I had my entire house cleaned 2 weeks ago, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and results. It had been many years since they were done, and were long overdue for a deep cleaning. I had Nick and Bobby in and out in less than 2 hours, and they did a fantastic job. I will use them again in the future, and recommend them to friends and family. Well done guys! They showed up early, got it done, and I felt like i got a great value for the money spent. Very fair and honest people to work with.

I have used several carpet and upholstery cleaners in the Columbus/​Dublin area. I actually used some of the ‘bigger’ or more recognized names. Although I cannot discredit others… what I will do is totally support the virtues of Martin!!! They are professionals (regardless of the team sent… all are knowledgeable regarding fabric, process, special problems, etc). The PRICE cannot be beat. Trust me. I am amazed at my quality of service and outcome for the price. ON TIME. There is never a variance. I totally recommend Martin Cleaning for your residential carpet and upholstery cleaning needs. {no doubt they are great commercially as well… I just cannot comment on that.} LS Dublin, OH

I used Martin Carpet Cleaning last September when i was moving into my new house. I spent a month working on the house and I wanted to have the carpets cleaned before I moved in. I was impressed with the job until I noticed they missed all of the edges of the carpets against the wall in every single room. The stain removal was great, but the detail work was lacking.

We have used Martin Carpet Cleaning for over 20 years. We never consider another company due to the fantastic job they have always done in the past. Every employee we have come in contact has been courteous, respectful and respectful. Over that many years and times visiting our home to do the work, we have had some bumps, but the company has always come through with a positive outcome. Highly recommended.

First off, let me say that I’ve never actually used Martin Carpet Cleaning. Several months ago, though, I was moving out of an apartment and was weighing whether I should try to pay a carpet repair company myself to fix a small tear in the carpet.
I ended up not using Martin because my apartment complex wouldn’t give an outside company the carpet pieces needed for the repair. But the woman in the office at Martin was so helpful and honest about my options with pricing that I was really impressed. She really went out of her way to get plenty of information to me, even knowing that I was unlikely to use their services at the time.
If I ever do need my carpet cleaned or repaired, I’ll definitely go to them!

I am compelled to write a review on Martin Carpet Cleaning because they do such a thorough job. I have been using Martin for about 15 years, because once I discovered what a great job they do, compared to companies I had used in the past, I don’t want to use anyone else. Jim and Josh were here today to clean several areas for me. They were professional, efficient, and thorough. They move the cleaner over each area several times, making sure it is as clean as it can be. I am very impressed with this business. We also use these people to provide clean welcome mats inside and outside of our main door at our business. They provide great service!
