Make Our Move

Don’t waste your time.
Scheduled a month in advance and even confirmed a week before that we are still on. Moving day comes and I wait 30 minutes after the movers are supposed to arrive before calling, only to find out that the truck has broken down and another truck should be on the way. An hour later I still haven’t heard anything and so I call again with no answer and no answer thereafter for another hour. I finally gave up and called Moving Ahead Services, who was able to schedule me for the same day, thankfully. Awesome customer service there.
I understand that things happen and maybe they couldn’t make it, but I just needed someone to let me know so I can start finding another option. Giving bad news sucks, but what sucks even more is a negative customer service experience.
These guys won’t last long.

Called them at 5:00 pm they said they will be here soon. Got trapped in traffic and they arrived at 7:00! However they got the job done! Only two guys Domain and Michele are the best. Quick strong and nice.
Was a last minute call and they made everything so easy!
Other than the delay I would give them 10 stars not 5!

I used Make Your Move to move me from Brooklyn New York to Morrisville, North Carolina. I want to say that they shaved my costs by loading me up on a U/​pack. They wrapped and secured my expensive bedroom furniture and padded most of the other items. I want to say that they were professional, smart and careful. The most important part was that they were affordable and they provided quality service. I highly recommend them and would use them for moves if the need arises in the future.

Yes, M.O.M is as good as it gets with respect to movers. I financed my nieces relocation to New York from Dayton after graduation. I supervised the move as my niece was busy apartment shopping in NY. M.O.M did a great job packing, padding and loading our storage container. It was a short notice move that occurred in haste after my niece abruptly decided to take a position in NY and not Wisconsin as planned for later on this year.
Make Our Move arrived on time, the workers were dressed in a professional manner (which should be noted because I’ve paid movers to do a move in MA some years ago and their unkempt appearance caused me to exercise caution with respect to placing my valuables in their care), they were energetic and worked non-​stop. Together, the men worked as a team paying close attention to detail and over-​padding when necessary to insure that my niece’s possessions did not take a bruising during the move. The storage container was packed to the brim and all available space was carefully utilized. Think, Tetris… each box, dresser, table or other item was skillfully positioned to fortify/​protect each other.
Their work was flawless and I can’t thank them enough for taking the stress out of a last minute pack and move.
