In 2008, Sue became the owner and operator of Live Oak Tailoring & Alterations. The premier alteration shop in the greater Columbus area.

Business Owner

Sue has traveled the world over but she spent a large portion of her early years in Columbus, GA. Wife of a career military man, she learned and excelled at the fine art of tailoring Army Greens and formal Army blue uniforms. Throughout her years living on military bases, she often handmade wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses for Army General’s daughters.

She was a lil pricy but it was all worth it my dressed was fixed and ready in time for my wedding and she let me pay in payments! She is a one woman shop that does it all and I will forever use her

Sue is amazing! I bought a suit that was entirely too big but she figured that’s how I wanted it. After getting my first alteration back (which was a rush order by the way) I took it back to her and asked if she could do another alteration that took a lot of time. I needed a rush order again so I didn’t know if she would be able to do it. Well, not only was she able to do it, she also did it free of charge even though it was my fault for having such a badly fitted suit. Love Sue! Will be bringing back all of my alterations here for sure!

Sue does an amazing job! I’ve brought in a button-​down blouse, a blazer, and a skirt for her to tailor. She’s made everything fit like a glove. Sue is honest, friendly, and knowledgable about how your clothes should fit you. I will definitely recommend her to anyone who needs tailoring/​alterations.

There is nothing Sue cannot accomplish and with the highest of quality. I’ve brought her standard alterations, curtains, and even costumes, and its all been completed top notch. If you want it done right, go to Live Oak.
