Robert Shea began at the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office in 2001 and as an Assistant Public Defender in 2004 – 2005. After that he began private practice from 2004-​present.

Michael Lerner began at Eric Hoffman & Associates in 2001 and then began a title company and a private practice in 2005-​present.

In 2010 Robert Shea and Michael Lerner, combined to form Lerner & Shea, LLC. Office is located at 500 S. Front St., Suite 260. The attorneys have combined their knowledge and expertise in both criminal defense and civil prosecution for victims of violent crime. Additionally, the firm handles family law matters and personal injury.
