Yes the smell when you first walk in is pretty stinky but you get used to it after a few minutes. It’s nothing unbearable. It struck me as a ‘rugged’ pet store but has everything you need. It’s located in a little bit of a ‘hood’ neighborhood. They breed naked rats, rats, and mice. They have a great variety of snakes, lizards & other reptiles, so of course it’s a bit stinky. Along w rabbits, fish, turtles, sugar gliders, a big white macaw(tropical bird?), that is very kind. He leans over sweetly and let’s you pet him and even talks! They have a few large reptiles that aren’t for sale and just for show. All the creatures in this store look healthy, happy and clean. Now as for the store owner-he’s a tatted up younger gentleman with a good sense of humor and a wealth of knowledge. VERY informative. They get a majority of their pets from local breeders. I went in there to get a more educated feel for what pet I should choose for my 8 year old for Xmas. I really enjoyed our visit as well as my 2 year old. He loved it! Granted, the store could use a little cleaning but apart from that its a great place to get a pet or pet food whatever you need.(:

This smell of feces/urine was so strong it was unbearable immediately after walking in. Most of the cages looked like they hadn’t had the bedding changed in a very, very long time. We went in an emergency looking for ferret food here once and all we found was a ziplock bag with«ferret food» written on it. I’m genuinely not sure how this place is in business. It was pretty devastating seeing the conditions some of these animals where forced to live in.
