Amazing food! The onion rings were perfect. The sweet potato fries were amazing. My sandwich was cooked perfectly.

Have been wanting to try this place for brunch for a while now. I’m always up way too early. I think they open at 9. Well I happened to be driving by at 930 so parked in my rock star parking spot right in front of the entrance. Not crowded at all. Greeted by the very nice staff and bellied up to the bar. Quick, friendly service. FAST delivery… picture worthy Greek omelette and awesome potatoes. Seriously some of the best potatoes I’ve had in a while. Many places just throw these on as an afterthought. Not here. I’m already planning for this upcoming weekends trip!

Food was good, service was excellent, and beer selection was great. Overall, I really enjoyed my first trip to Jimmy Vs. I was not sure what exactly to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. I decided to stop in for a Browns game and the location did not disappoint. I could see Jimmy Vs being a good choice for dinner with friends, to watch a game, or just grab a beer. Definitely a quality establishment in the German Village or Brewery District area. I tried the Gyro and would recommend this selection to anyone. Enjoy.

Greatest Lemon Chicken Rice soup on the planet; great borderline fusion Greek and pub food, but high classed. Cook must have been trained somewhere high-bar and the rest of the staff is top notch. Closest thing to a Brewery District ‘Cheers’ as one will get.

This place has a nice patio out front and back. Mostly used by smokers, who could use some etiquette. Like use a ash tray and not flick it everywhere or under some somes chair! Tends to get a vulgar types sometimes. Lots of 4 letter words. The front patio could use a power wash up and down. Smell of slight urn and smokes is kinda turn off. Ok for having a drink, but to eat is another story. Food is always about the same, good. The staff works well together, and is always upbeat. Inside is cool in the summer. It is a nice neighbor place. Maybe not so for the family friendly.

I am giving Jimmy V’s on South High street in German Village 5 stars for a few reasons. First of all, Valter the owner always acknowledges my presence very formally. Secondly the food is delicious. Even when I request the Lobster ravioli to have the White parmesan sauce instead of the marinara it is no problem! The house salad is always fresh. And lastly besides the always friendly staff serving good selection of beers, you can actually experience that on the nice back patio enclosure and they even serve a wonderful brunch on Saturdays and Sundays until 1 pm! Doesn’t hurt living just down the street either! This is a good restaurant for level headed human beings who can appreciate an «Albanian heart in German Village».

Great neighborhood hangout. The place makes you feel like family. Food is tasty and the beer selection is good enough. I have tried many items on the menu and I have always enjoyed them, but specifically the Texas chicken and the lemon soup are a good bet. I’ve also been for brunch on St. Patty’s Day and had the corned beef hash and it was some of the best I’ve had in Columbus… And I wasn’t even drunk!(Yet). It was super packed in there and they still managed to deliver a quality product. I will definitely be back!

The food is FANTASTIC but service is decidedly hit or miss. Case in point: we’ve been seated for 5 minutes and no one has been to our table yet. It’s not even that busy. What good is great food if no one will come get your order?

We ended up going here 4 times within 24 hours. Valter was amazing and took fabulous care of us. It is really great place for what ever you need: good beer, fancy cocktails, brunch, dessert(baklava) or food. They really made our trip to Columbus complete!

Go there about once a week or two now. Got to know the owner, Valter, a little bit. I get greeted by name now. This is how you run a business and treat people. A+. And in return, it’s got my loyalty and my recommendation to friends and family. Just got home from there again tonight. Can never go wrong with a gyro and fresh cut fries.

So close to a 5iver for me. For purely selfish, egotistical reasons, it is a 4. The girls there are so sweet! But I do play favorites because some of them, though sweet, are not competent. The food is excellent. So good. The Albanian sauce goes on everything. Start with the wings. Best sauce in the world. See also fries, chips, and sandwiches for other dippers in this sauce. Homemade stuffed peppers and indeed all daily specials are greatly priced and so delicious. Did I mention the waterfall wall out back dining and cheap beer. ‘nough said.

Momma and Valter have a note-worthy kitchen. My first visit gave me the opp to enjoy fresh, homemade crab cakes, cold PBR bottles, Buckeye Football all served up by a great bar attendant, Tiffany. Sounds like the weekend brunch would be nice. Food prices are a little higher than I would have expected though.

I liked Jimmy V’s a lot. I came on a weekday afternoon, and was pleased to be promptly seated. I ordered a special they had going on for a gyro, and thought the food was pretty good. The gyro was hot, juicy, filled with plenty of meat and veggies, and while not the best I’ve had, it was good. The customer service was pretty spot on and consistent. Can’t say I had any complaints with it, however, there was nothing exemplary either. That covers most of my experience at Jimmy V’s: no complaints, but nothing that stood out as awesome. A solid 4-Star establishment. :)

Sorry peeps, this place didn’t impress me much at all. The BF came here after our 30 Seconds to Mars concert, since it too was very close to our hotel. He was wanting a late dinner and another beer or 2 so we walked on over. The place itself is really nice, and it was cool that the kitchen was still open at 11pm. The menu is trying to be half fancy-ish and half Greek. My BF fell for the fancy and ordered lobster ravioli. We also ordered some saganaki. The staff was nice that we dealt with, there was no issue there. They brought out the saganaki, and they put so much flame-y stuff on it that it all scorched to the pan and just tasted bitter… I was kinda ugh over that. BF got his lobster ravioli and I took a bite. Awww shit, just as I expected. Gummy and totally tasted like frozen Kroger ravioli. The sauce was actually decent, but the rav was garbage. I don’t like paying almost $ 20.00 for something I could buy at the store for $ 7.00 and cook at home. Not that I would cuz its gross, but just sayin’. In conclusion, this place is great for a hangout and they do have a nice little patio, but I would never eat here again.

Solid, if somewhat generic, lunch choice. They have a great, covered patio out back, which was the main draw for my little group the other day: it was a nice temperature, but with some threat of rain. This place did the trick. They have a few beers on tap, no cider(I care about this because i am gluten-free). Their GF selection is pretty limited, but I settled on a gyro salad… I’ve heard this place owns Goody Boy, which has the worst food of anyplace I’ve been in Columbus, so I was pleasantly surprised that my lunch was not just edible but good!

Get to know Valter. He’s the owner /manager of this Jimmy V’s on South High in German Village. Valter’s a very cool Albanian guy. He loves to schmooze his customers to make them feel welcome. If Valter’s not too busy, ask him if he can make something special for you. Just let him know what you like as far as protein, pasta, sauce whatever and he’ll custom make a dish for you. Not too many chefs will do that for you but Valter always is pleased to try something new and exciting. I’ve seen him do this a few times and he always comes up with something cool on the fly and it’s always great. Prices are very reasonable for German Village. Nothing fancy or pretentious here. It’s good quality bar food. They also have a good number of specials to keep things interesting. Just a good solid place to come and have dinner and drinks without breaking the bank. Beer selection is pretty decent and reasonably priced. Bar area is spacious and inviting. Definitely a place to come and get lunch or dinner or to just hang out. BTW, when the weather’s nice you can either sit on the patio in the front or in the back. I prefer the front myself. Always more interesting for me there.

I was very surprised by the selection of menu items. I have never heard about this place until a friend suggested we drop in. We entered from the back and I expected nothing more than another wings and burger joint. I enjoyed the food and will return soon to get something more than appetizers and a sandwich. I’ll probably get the Cajun Shrimp Linguine on my next visit. The atmosphere of the place seemed a bit divey on my Thursday afternoon visit. The only negative to the good/great food was that my grilled chicken sandwich was dry(dry bun, no tomato, no sauce). Overall I enjoyed the visit and the value was great.

Stopped in at this local bar for a fundraising event and was pleasantly surprised by the outdoor space. You pass through a pretty ordinary bar room(although it’s spacious), into a very nice patio, replete with water elements, plenty of seating and TVs, and an outdoor bar. Particularly at night, this is one of the more interesting(and accessible, I imagine) patios in Cbus. Beer was good, nicely priced and with a good selection. Parking on the street or in the back lot is convenient.

Who knew this Jimmy V’s had such a badass patio hidden out back??? Not I. But it was awesome and I can’t wait to go back and enjoy it. Everything else from my previous review still stands and yes, the standard of food(gimme the gyro!) is similar to the other Cbus locations, but I am particularly fond of that patio so I just had to share. Another huge plus is the location which I didn’t really appreciate as much until my last visit. You don’t get much more central than High St. As per usual, the lemon potatoes were a hit for almost everyone who ordered them(including myself) and everything was washed down perfectly with a cold draft beer. The servers wer on par and attentive, too. I quite enjoy a laid back, local pub… with a great patio … and I got all I was hoping for at Jimmy Vs.
