Horrible management. I own service business with 4 vehicles. After dealing with their manager I will never go back

Funny how with the price of oil always coming down the prices charged don’t reflect that. The wait times are really long for a place with a name like this. One and a half hours just to get your oil changed is just too long.
If I was saving a boatload of money by coming here it might be excusable. Sadly they are far from the cheapest. Even charged me an extra ten dollars for a filter for my run of the mill car.

Do not go here. The service took over an hour and they did rotated the tires without asking because the manufacturer recommended it. I probably would have agreed to it but they never even asked, just did it and charged me. Total scam shop.

Great service, no wait, super nice guys and didn’t try to oversell me. Great job guys!

The absolute worst experience I have ever had going for an oil change. I brought my car in for an oil change during the week. The employees got my car in pretty quickly. They changed my oil and during the oil change they spilled oil all over my engine. Instead of being honest and telling me they said nothing. After I paid my $ 97 I drove off. About a mile away I look in my rearview and there are LARGE CLOUDS OF SMOKE coming out of my exhaust and a burning oil smell. So I go back and THEN they decide to tell me they spilled oil on the engine. They refunded my money for the oil change and I ran it through the wash 2 times to help remove the oil. It still smoked for the reminder of the day. You specialize in oil changes and you can’t even get that right. On top of that I had to spend $ 150 to get a detail and have the engine cleaned off. I have reached out to the district manager and he of course has not returned my call. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!

The last time I was in here was several years ago. I stopped going and told many people of my experience because they pulled this same bait and switch pricing. I was asked «do you want the same one you had last time?» And I replied yes, and then was charged $ 70some dollars for an oil change in a Chevy cobalt. I have never in my life asked for, or agreed to, a $ 70 oil change. At the time, I was working 2 jobs just to make ends meet. That day, I was late for work and didn’t have time to fight it, so I wrote a letter to complain. No one even sent me a form letter to respond. From reading other reviews, seems like this is common practice for this location.
There is currently a deal on their reader board, I have a Honda Civic now that requires specific oil and I’m going to call.

Was just told this oil change would cost me $ 85. Fastlube is less than a mile away and charges half that, so they’ll be getting my business.
At what point does corporate get involved with the management at this location? Haven’t seen a positive review yet, but have definitely noticed some trends that matched my experience.

I’m not usually one to write a bad review; most times I consider it to be merely an off day for the servicer, but in this case after two bad experiences, I won’t be going back to this location again. The first time I went to this Jiffy Lube they left my oil cap loose and there was leakage. Eventually I gave them another chance but today had an awful experience… Carl asked me if I wanted the same oil I had before so I said alright but when I realized what he was asking was if I wanted the upgrade, I said I just want the regular signature service without it and he said ok but I would have to get the upgrade (which is the more expensive oil). I said that didn’t make sense and he said those were the rules. I suppose there could have been some miscommunication but when I said I didn’t want the $ 20 upgrade but just the signature service he shouldn’t have forced me to get the value service instead so I wouldn’t have to pay $ 60 vs $ 30ish. I could have gotten all my fluids topped for only five dollars more with the coupon that I could not use with the value service. Too bad for them though; they lost another customer.

I attempted to go here a few months ago for an oil change, and they told me that they only had the super expensive oil ($ 70) and nothing cheaper, so I went somewhere else. I ended up back at this Jiffy Lube because it was the only one that was open on a Sunday. My experience was completely different and very positive! I was greeted right away by a very friendly woman and the other employees did not try and upsell me, except they let me know my brake light was out in the back and replaced it for $ 12. They let me know options for prices and I was able to pick the cheapest one no problem. I was grateful for that! They treated every customer really well while I was there and had a casual and comfortable waiting area. I like that they are open on Sunday’s and I will be back knowing they will not upsell me and have great customer service.

They take forever trying to nickel and dime you before they do what you originally asked. I asked for an oil change and they wanted to sell me all sorts of services that did not need to be performed at my current mileage. Go in knowing what oil you need and don’t let them do anything else. IT’S A TRAP

When I first pulled in, two different employees gave conflicting stories for why they no longer provide their signature oil change, and their cheapest change was $ 59.89. However, I was told that oil change was good for 6,000 miles, so, I stayed. Just as I was about to rate the store just two stars due to someone either misinforming me or outright lying, one of the employees saw what I was doing and rushed over to me and offered me all kinds of free bonuses for the inconvenience: $ 5 discount plus a managers discount. And they were fast with the car too. I was in and out in 10 minutes.
Overall, four stars. Because of the bonuses, the conflicting stories, the speed of service, and for forgetting to put a sticker in my windshield reminding me of my next change (and getting the mileage wrong on that sticker lol).

I don’t know if they’ve gotten new management since a lot of these reviews were written, but I had excellent service. They were fast and friendly.
I loved the screens showing the different maintenance requirements and where my car’s mileage was in respect to each thing. Hollie, who was the tech I talked to, asked me if I remembered having each thing done and when I wasn’t sure, she recommended I look into when I’d had them done and come back if I needed the maintenance.
She talked through the different oil choices with me and recommended one, but gave me another option that was cheaper if I wanted it. My car is high mileage, so I did end up going with her recommendation, but I never felt that I was being pressured to make a choice different from what I wanted.
The whole staff was very friendly to me and told me exactly what was happening each step of the way. The entire process took about 15 minutes. I will definitely be returning here!

Terrible service; I wasn’t even acknowledged in the first 20 minutes. My car was first in line outside the bay; when an inside slot opened up, they brought another car in for service that arrived after me. I finally grabbed my keys and left. I’ll never go back.
The Jiffy Lube on E. Livingston, although a hike for me to get to – has great service, an attentive staff, and is a much better experience. I will spend my money there from now on.

Stopped at the Grandview jiffylube at 1:00pm. Took over 25 minutes to have someone take our information.

I stopped going to all Jiffy Lube’s because of this location. The service is terrible they try pushing you too buy things/​services you don’t need. The very last time I went there I kept trying to get me to upgrade to more expensive oil and buying filters I just replaced a few months ago. when I said no thank you politely they make me feel like I’m dumb by laughing and make some snide remark. i’m not an expert on cars but I know what my car has had done already. if the customer says I want to simple basic oil change, and give them a simple oil change.

Very nice guys. Ask for a discount at the end of the day, and they should help you out.

I agree with Josh Hao’s review. However, showing the coupon before hand didn’t make any difference. The manager just declined the coupon stating that they don’t accepts those here. It’s not like I had some random computer printed coupon from who knows where. I had a official Jiffy Lube coupon that was mailed to me. Well his unwillingness to make any effect to provide decent costumer service just cost Jiffy Lube a costumer.
Furthermore, it was raining that day and after paying the bill I came out only to find my car with the windows down. How naïve can you be. It’s raining out.
Because of these event I now know that when I receive jiffy lube coupon I’ll just trash it and Jiffy Lube just lost a future costumer. I do not recommend this store.

This is definitely the WORST jiffy lube i’ve ever been to.
I had an oil change last month and brought a coupon. Guess what? after oil change was done, they wouldn’t allow me to use the coupon and said the store is not listed. Then I called the company and was told the coupon was 100% usable at his store.
So I went back to discuss the issue, WELL! the manager was super mad and blame me for not showing the coupon when entered into the store.
WOW! THIS IS «CUSTOMER SERVICE»!!! THIS IS WHAT IT IS!
I will turn this store down forever and tell every of my friends not to go to.

I went in for an oil change. I decided to get the signature package where they include the «check tire pressure»
I knew one of my tires had a really slow leak and instead of going to getgo I paid the extra 10.00 and had them put air in my tires. At the end when they gave my car back. I noticed the check tire pressure sign was still on. I flagged down an employee and asked him about it. He told me that I needed to drive a bit to readjust and it will reset itself. After my errands I went to Getgo and decided to put air in my tire it was LOW! so I filled it to the right level and guess what! The check tire sign was off.
I went back to Jiffy lube because not only did they forget to check some of my tire pressures they did not put my tire caps back on. I confronted them about not checking and they were defensive and did not apologize but tried to blame the situation on me.
To these mechanics, I’m just a girl that doesn’t know anything.
I would of thought people who worked here at Jiffy would ATLEAST know how to properly put air in tires. guess not.

If there’s one place I don’t feel comfortable, it’s the mechanic and/​or place-​filled-​with-​testosterone-​that-​does-​stuff-​to-​cars.
This place is in a convenient location — right next to a car wash no less — and although it was a tad busy when I arrived, I was in and out in about 20 minutes.
I underestimated how much an oil change is and had a mini freak out when I found out my final price.
Well, that was mainly because they tend to tack on the little «extras» along the way without full explaining them. Instead of telling me what & why they wanted to charge me an extra $ 100 worth of services, the guy mumbled and sped through the list of things they wanted to do. After I politely declined, I went to sit back in the waiting area. I wish they would’ve explained what they wanted to do and WHY. Perhaps I would’ve agreed to those services? (Maybe not because they are generally overpriced.) But now we’ll never know.
