History

Established in 2012.

There has been a long running stigma in the wine industry that has pushed people further and further from the simple pleasures to be had in wine. The wine Snob. The snob can take many forms, from the waiter at a fancy restaurant, who snubs your request for a sweeter style wine, to the wine shop employee throwing around wine terms they know very well you won’t understand, simply to make themselves seem more important and knowledgeable than you. Rest assured, you will find no such thing here. Though we provide everything from casual wine tastings, to upscale dinners, everything we do is free of pretension and full of enjoyment.

Co-​Owners Heather Denaro and Geoff Brooks first met as colleagues in 2010. Through a shared love of wine, service, and the non-​snob philosophy It Starts with a Grape was born!
