History
Established in 1975.
Business began in Scottsbluff, Nebraska as «Homestead Gallery and Craft Supply.» Served as a Tandy Leather franchise and source for all sorts of craft needs for the panhandle of Nebraska and eastern Wyoming.
In 1982, the move was made to southwestern Indiana and Homestead Handweaving Studio opened in rural Posey County near St. Phillip. Business focused solely on weaving and spinning supplies and equipment plus the production of handwoven rugs and clothing.
In 1999, the business moved to Brown County, Indiana, 10 miles from Nashville, and Homestead Weaving Studio was built. Now a full-service weaving business with 20+ looms and tons of yarn. Classes are taught and day-weaving experiences offered to visitors.

Business Owner
Chris has been a weaver for more than 40 years and a business owner since 1975. She not only is proficient in her craft, she is willing to share her expertise and experience with others. A visit to her studio is a life-changing event for some people when they see what an inspiring place a small business can become.
Chris carries supplies and equipment for other weavers and is always available to answer questions at the studio or through email.
