I saw Dr. Michelle Chambers the other week for some hair loss/​poor regrowth patterns that I have been experiencing since my bone marrow transplant for leukemia about 18 months ago. She didn’t even bother to introduce herself as the physician when she came into the exam room and instructed me to take my hat off so she could examine my scalp. She prescribed a topical steroid, but didn’t explain why or ask if I had any questions. Given my complex medical history, I expect much more than what she offered. She assumed that my thin hair and bald spots are because of a condition, GvHD, that results from most bone marrow transplants. However, my GvHD is very very mild, and the area where my hair isn’t growing does not have issues with GvHD, so a biopsy would have been appropriate. In my opinion, it’s irresponsible to prescribe a medication without knowing the cause of the issue, and it’s especially irresponsible in my case because I have low bone density from previous steroid use. I called her office the next day to ask them about the steroid she prescribed, and I haven’t received a call back. She also didn’t even know how to write a prescription for a hair prosthesis (wig), which tells me she’s not adept at treating hair loss issues, which is fine, but at least admit it to the patient, so he/​she can go to a physician who better knows how to treat their condition. I will not be returning here, and do not recommend Dr. Chambers or her office.

I was rather nervous to come here after reading the reviews, but since the negative reviews are several years old I decided to take a chance. I am so glad I did.
My insurance was accepted and I had a $ 35 copay. I saw Christopher Daugherty due to horrible skin eruptions on my arms and legs that seemed to come out of nowhere. Chris was very friendly and calming. He assured me that he would work with me to find the cause of my problem and that we would keep working until we found a solution.
He took some skin samples. Although he was very gentle, there was some pain. He acknowledged it and was sympathetic which I appreciated. After he ran some tests, we discussed some options. Chris explained the treatment very thoroughly. I was given a steroid shot to help with the itching. I was also given a prescription of a cream. If there is no change within two weeks, I am to return. If I got worse, I was to call in right away.
I only visited the office two days ago, but I am starting to notice a difference in my rash. I know sometimes when you receive treatment for a condition, it can be hit or miss depending on your body, your reaction to medications, and your particular situation in general. So far things are progressing well and I hope to continue improving.
Regardless of how the treatment goes for this particular illness, I am scheduled for a full skin check up with Dr. Chambers in November. I will make more updates along the way.

Long story short: I visited Elite Dermatology for the first time since they had moved. This was a year or so ago, so it was maybe a year after they moved down the street a mile or so from the old location. I called and made an appointment. I went to my appointment and got a little thing removed and it involved a couple stitches. ok, no problem, upon leaving they told me that i had a new customer fee. I did not even have to give them my information as i was in the computers from before the move, they had me on file. i said how can i be a new customer if you have my information on file? long story short i paid my bill but not the unnecessary new customer fee. i told them that i wouldnt pay that, nobody told me about it before the appointment, and now it is one of the only negative things that is on my credit. i told the debt collector they hired that story, gave them my phone number and information and theyve stopped calling about it. its only 100 $ and ive considered paying it just because i enjoy improving my credit score, but its principle! i would not recommend this place to anyone.

The service performed was fine, although expensive and not covered by insurance. I sent a check to their office which was undeliverable. I called their office for clarification, and was referred to a billing 800 number. I hung up after 8 minutes on hold. You think that in today’s world. you could at least make it easy for customers to pay you time.

I have gone to Dr. Chambers for over 20 years and am sorry I cannot continue with her because I now live in FL. I still schedule skin checks with her any time I am in OH because she catches cancers early. I have had many Mohl’s surgeries that were easier because of early detection. I recommend her to my friends often!

Yikes. More of my friends are experiencing trouble with this dermatologist. Apparently one of the doctors brings her dogs (it’s a therapy dog but, c’mon) to the office. And will charge people just for referrals. In this economy, that’s sort of cruel.
If you’re still considering going here you may need to seek medical attention of a different type.

So I had to go to a dermatologist recently to get a checkup. I was sent to a Dr. Kademian because it was referred to me by a doctor.
Well this place is definitely interesting. I first arrived 15 mins early as requested to fill out paperwork. I then sat around close to a hour before seeing a doc. But during that waiting I was able to sit and hear about every patients problems before me as discreteness is not a specialty in this office. Sounded like they all had microphone with loud speakers just so the rest of the patients waiting in the room can hear. That seemed very unprofessional.
When I was finally called to see the doctor I was direct to a room and asked to put a gown on which I didn’t think was out of the ordinary considering the need to look at my skin. What I did find weird was all the window shades open with perfect view of the residential houses. I didn’t realize this at first until I had to sit in the room with the gown on for 30 more minutes with nothing to read or do. Since I’m a guy I’m OK with it but I can only image how many females don’t realize it. You would like the nurses who request you take your clothes off would close the blinds for you.
