Tasty smoothie Tried out a smoothie from food truck and it was pretty tasty. It was some kind of lemon berry flavor. They made it pretty fast and it was nice and cold on a hot summer day. This was not a bland smoothie at all, packed with all kinds of sour lemon flavor as well as sweet fruity flavor. Hit the spot for sure

This stand was the highlight of my Comfest eating experience this year. Both the vegan pizza and the milkshake were simply heavenly. I’ve been slow in hopping on the food truck bandwagon(now that’s a vehicular mental image right there), but Earth’s Crust gets me there. I’ve bookmarked their website so I can keep track of their schedule. The shake tasted like drinkable ice cream, like it’s supposed to… enough so that dairy drinkers would be completely satisfied. And the pizza, mmm… it was just a plain«cheese» pizza, but the ingredients had the perfect balance. Comfest was a month ago and the sense-memories are still there. One thing the Earth’s Crust folks may want to look at… I had trouble finding them online afterward because I thought the name of the place was«Krazy Monkey» or something, based on the text that stood out on the truck. Really not clear that you want to look up «Earth’s Crust,» not the Monkey stuff. But the food? No complaints and lots of yums.

I can’t vouch for all the items on their menu, but I had the Apple Pie Milkshake at the Columbus Food Truck Festival last night and it was life altering. In fact, I’ve been thinking about it all day today… gonna have to stalk these guys and get another sometime soon. One other thing, my railroad train obsessed 3 year old absolutely loves the model train zooming around the roof of their food truck.

The only reason this place gets a star is because of their crust. It is wholegrain, and tasty. Nothing else about this pizza sticks out. They only had three pizza choices when I visited them: pepperoni which also included salami, the veggie which had a tiny bit of goat cheese on it, and the vegan pizza. They serve almost entirely vegan offerings. Okay I suppose, but a little odd tasting for me. Since they only had three choices, I wish they had an option for regular organic cheese on each of the pizzas. Its hippie pizza, and is lacking in flavor. Add some garlic or something??? A sad similarity to the cardboard box most pizza is served in. They use vegan ice cream in all their milkshakes… no thank you. I couldn’t bring myself to try it. I don’t even think it’s fair to call it a «milk”-shake. Also, all the drink options being $ 6⁄16 oz seemed a little steep to me. I would say that the pizzas are probably sliced 1⁄8. At $ 4 a slice, it’s hardly thrifty, a whole pizza would be $ 32 by the slice. I didn’t see the whole sliced pizza, but the slices weren’t large. Service was slow, but the guy taking orders had an interesting sense of humor. A slice and a drink is not enough for anyone I know, so plan on a minimum $ 14 lunch. I don’t think it deserves to be in the 1 «$» category. «$$» would be more appropriate. Still if you go for vegan/vegetarian, this truck would probably be of great interest to you. Not so much to my taste.

This is the place I went to for the food-cart fest, and it was delicious. The people there extremely nice– they seemed a bit overwhelmed with the crowd, like most of the vendors, but handled it with style and grace. It appears that one needs dreadlocks to work there, which I suppose is funny/appropriate for a mostly vegan place? I had the pesto pizza, which I loved, and also quite a few bites of my friend’s vegan cheese and zucchini pizza. I liked them both, but the vegan cheese was particularly good, kind of tart, and the crust was pretty outstanding. The prices were also quite decent. The juices and smoothies also looked good, tho these were more pricey; they were also willing to mix up things to order from a selection of fruits/veggies. And they were mini vegan ice cream sandwiches, a nice and sweet touch. :)
