The staff at Dave Gill Chevrolet were very courteous, professional, and efficient during my most recent visit to service my 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. I called ahead to make an appointment for a basic oil change on a Friday afternoon. Despite being booked for the day, they did let me know they did walk-​in oil changes as well. I arrived shortly after 4 p.m. and they were able to fit me in no problem. I have bumper-​to-​bumper GM Certified Warranty, so it’s nice to know that I can go to a reputable place that honors the warranty.
There are a few dealerships here in the Central Ohio area that service GM vehicles, but the folks at Dave Gill are what makes the difference. I would definitely recommend Dave Gill to anyone that owns a GM vehicle here in Columbus for anything from an oil change to a tune up.

I had a recurring gas smell in my ’04 Pontiac Grand Am that only seemed to come up when it was cold out and when starting the car after sitting overnight. Had taken it to a few shops previously but no one could ever find the cause. Decided to bite the bullet and pay the diagnostic fee at the dealer assuming they would be the most qualified to determine what is going on. After renting a car from them and leaving it overnight so they could experience the gas smell starting it up in the morning, they tell me it is my fuel lines. They said they are not rusted enough for liquid fuel to leak out, but enough for fumes to seep out and quoted me $ 1895 to repair. I did not feel the car was worth that investment and paid the diagnostic fee and car rental and cosigned myself to just getting another car.
However, I found out it might be possible to just patch the fuel lines so I took it somewhere else where they said they could do that but after looking at it they told me the fuel lines, while rusted, are not that bad and not the source of the gas smell. Unfortunately they still couldn’t determine what it was but they said fuel lines either leak and are wet or they don’t. There’s no such thing as only fumes and no liquid fuel leaking from rusted fuel lines and mine were not leaking.
By some stroke of luck, I happened across a video online for a leaking fuel pressure regulator on my exact car with the same exact symptoms. The video shows the fuel slowly spreading up the side of the regulator. I went out to my car, opened the hood, and started it. Lo and behold not 10 seconds later I see the same exact leak on my fuel pressure regulator! $ 50 and maybe an hour later it is replaced and the gas smell is gone!
Searching online for the regulator on this year range of GM car it appears to be an extremely common issue. I’m very upset that Dave Gill tried to push a nearly $ 2,000 repair on me that was definitively not the problem. Its ridiculous that none of the shops I took it to ever noticed this visibly obvious leak, but pushing an expensive unnecessary repair is simply unacceptable! Will not be doing business with Dave Gill ever again!

I had the misfortune of hitting a deer in 2013. I was new to the area and my insurance recommended Dave Gill as one of their preferred body shops. Initially all seemed to be going well, I was looking at a two week repair period. I understand that things take time, and given the extensive damage my car had encountered, two weeks was reasonable. After the first week, I was informed that there was more damage than initially found and that the repair time would be three weeks rather than two. When I enquired as to why I was told that due to my car being out of production there was difficulty finding the radiator and radiator bracket required, as well as other necessary parts. At this point I knew that they were trying to pull one over on me. For one thing, my car is a 2009 Pontiac G6. It was 2013. The car was still under the original factory warranty. For another, almost every auto manufacturer utilizes parts commonality. I know for a fact that the Pontiac G6 uses the Epsilon platform, as does the Chevy Malibu. I also know for a fact that the two share the same radiator, and radiator bracket. So what this dealership was trying to sell me was that the parts needed for my still under factory warranty car that are also utilized by a vehicle for sale on the NEW car lot, are no longer available. Any one else find this hard to believe? About halfway into the second week I contacted my insurance to have my car moved. Miraculously my car was magically going to be finished that week. About two days after I picked it up, my headlight was leaking. So I had to go back and wait two hours for that to be replaced. Now, two years later the paint on my bumper is peeling around the headlight. I contact my insurance, as this should be covered by the lifetime warranty, and am told to contact the dealership. I called 4 times with no return call. Finally I filled out the «Contact us» on the website and received a return call. I made an appointment with Heath at 9:00 AM on a Saturday. I drove the 30 minutes to this dealership, and waited for him to be ready for our appointment. When he inspected my vehicle, I was told that the headlights were displaced due to «pulling up too far in a parking space» and he would take pictures and submit them to the insurance, but it was doubtful it would be covered. Seriously?!? So apparently a car is designed to have the headlights misplaced when pulling too close to a curb. Who would buy that? I went to a different dealership, Jack Maxton, and he pretty much laughed when I told him the explanation given to me by Heath. I then contacted my insurance again, who put me in touch with a claims manager, Mike. Mike scheduled a time to meet me at the dealership, where he determined that my car was incorrectly put back together and the damage was a result of a poor repair to begin with. The second repair will be covered in full, as well as a rental car being provided. Mike then informed me that there is no one for the dealership to «submit photos» to, and that Heath should have contacted him when I called Heath. Overall scammers who do shoddy work and won’t take responsibility for their errors.

I called to make an appointment to get my oil changed. I was told I didn’t need to make an appointment for an oil change and to just come in the next day when they opened.
When I arrived I was asked if I had an appointment. I told them no. I was directed to a line with one other car while several other cars that arrived after me were helped. When they get to me I was once again asked if I had an appointment. I explained, again, that I did not and why I was there. The guy told me I obviously misunderstood yesterday when I called to make an appointment and they would try to get my oil changed today.
I told him that I could go somewhere else if they couldn’t get it in today. I told him I could make an appointment for the following Saturday if necessary. I was told no and they should be able to get to it today.
So let’s see if they get it done today…

The most horrible car buying experience in the 38 years I’ve been buying cars. Went Sunday afternoon to look at used cars to see what I might like because the dealership was close and it would be pressure free. Called dealership on Monday to make an appointment to test drive this 2013 car that I really would’ve liked to have brought and was #1 on my short list of cars I was looking to buy. So appointment made to test drive this 2013 and I show up but the car is not there, not only no car but no one know where it is. After 20mins sales associate comes back and tells me one of the managers took the car out on personal business and didn’t tell anyone, but will be back shortly if I like to wait, which I do. After another 10mins he comes back and says he’ll be back in 45mins. This appointment was for 4:00pm, which I drove from OSU in rush hour traffic to make it there on time. Then at 4:40 he tells me he doesn’t know when or if the manager would be back with the car that evening, if I would still be in the area he could give me a call. Finally at 6:10pm I get a call that the car is there if I still want to test drive. Test drove it and set down to negotiate and came to an agreement with salesman, but said he would have to check with manager. Manager comes back says that he couldn’t go for numbers we had agreed to and it would cost $ 1800 more than what me and the sales man agreed to. I told him I did my homework and for that year model and miles, that was exactly at market price what we had negotiated.
So no deal I left and forgot to get gift card that I was suppose to get for test driving the car, nor did they offer it to me. Call the next day talked to sales associate told him I was at another dealership ready to buy another car for about the same price but that I really would like to buy that 2013 instead. They said they would talk to their manager and get back to me. 2 hrs late still no call so I by another car from another dealership. Get a call the next day say they think they can do the price we agree too. Really!!! 24hrs late after I brought the car I told them yesterday I was going to buy. 3days later I call and remind them I didn’t get a gift card for the test drive, they told me to stop by and pick it up. Get there and they said they mailed 4days ago. And if I don’t get it in a few days give them a call. Few days go by no card. Call and manager very rudely said we mailed you one and were not going to give you one! These are only a few of the negative details of this experience I had trying to buy a car from Dave Gill!

Last night I was quoted a price for a new truck & a trade in amount by Matt the sales manager at Dave Gill Chevrolet. Today he told us at first he wouldn’t honor that price. Then he said we misunderstood him. When we told him the sales person agreed with us on what he had said he got up and walked away. Needless to say so did we !! So … I would not recommend this dealership to anyone when it comes to honesty & integrity. He had mentioned how someone else was extremely interested in same truck and come from out of town to purchase. Must have valued money over his word & integrity Update on story: Gill dealership contact me this morning. All went very well. They came back and gave the original quoted price & trade value so after all they stepped up and made good on the deal. I just want to say I was very impressed and would give them my business anytime. Matt, Kevin, Jeff & Dana all pulled together and did a wonderful job. THANKS GUYS!!!

I took my 2011 Chevy Impala LT for a recall repair and was looking around and saw this beautiful black 2015 Impala LTZ. It was love at first sight!
Tony was very nice to work with. He explained a lot about my car and it’s functions. I had a few questions that he answered quickly and really made me feel at ease through the process. I’m still excited as a new proud Poppa of my 2015 Chevy Impala LTZ. My friends are jealous now.

I’ve always wanted a new Impala as soon as the new style and body was announced a few years ago. This is my 4^th Impala and I’ve never had an issue with any of them. Always been a Chevy fan and will always continue my loyalty to the «bowtie».

I can’t give the salespeople I worked with enough stars. My salesman was Chad and he was wonderful. I also worked with Kevin, the finance manager. These two together are the epitome of customer service. I was there before they closed but did not leave until well after they closed talking numbers and going over what was best for me. I never once felt rushed. I felt like my business was important to them and as a customer, that’s really what you want. Everyone I came into contact with on the sales floor was spectacular and welcoming and just downright friendly. I was able to get the car I want at a payment I could afford, which I really attribute to Kevin’s tirelessly working on getting me the best deal possible. I can’t thank him enough. Chad was very knowledgeable and was very patient with my endless questions. Both individuals are beyond the scope of what I’ve ever dealt with customer service wise, and far exceeded my expectations when I walked through the door. This was my first time at Dave Gill, but because of the attitudes and attentiveness of Kevin and Chad, I will most certainly be a Dave Gill customer for life. Thanks again guys!

I have a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze LS that I bought off of a lease from Northeast Ohio. I have since moved to Columbus for school, and was in need of a dealer for service. After some searching, I decided to give Dave Gill a shot. They helped me with a quick turn around on some recall service last year, and I decided that I would try them again when my vehicle’s check engine light activated.
My vehicle was seen to at the time of my appointment, and it was only a moderate wait for the service staff to have my vehicle diagnostic run and have parts ordered. Where I received the best level of service was the complimentary shuttle that drove me 20 minutes so that I could make it to my class on time back at Ohio State. Then, as if that was not enough, they picked me up from campus and drove me back to the dealership once I was done with my day.
Excellent service, personable staff, this is what I have come to expect from a Chevrolet or GM dealer. Well done, and thanks again!

I brought my 2014 Chevy Volt in for scheduled maintenance. I loved the ease of scheduling through the website. I choose to wait on the car and was back on the road in just a little over an hour — awesome.
The waiting area was vey nice and I really appreciated the Keurig Coffee and assortment of flavors — nice perk for those that choose to wait.
The advisor was very friendly and took care of me right away. I saw him as well as other advisors interacting with customers and it is obvious the customer service is sincere at Dave Gill.
In a past appointment I used the free rental car that was offered. That and the free shuttle service offered will make me a loyal Dave Gill customer for years to come as well as influence my next purchase. It is priceless that it is so easy to get back on the road and to work without hassle or additional cost.

Review for collision service — My experience with Dave Gill Chevrolet was outstanding. They brought my car back to me looking cleaner and newer than it had looked in over two years. Thanks for the FAST, easy and convenient service. If I ever have the misfortune of getting hit by another bozo again, I’ll be back.

I was exceptionally pleased with my experience here. The photos online were accurate, and I received an email promptly after I inquired about the specific car.
When I arrived, the car was prepped for the test drive, and was signing paper work within a half hour. John was great! He answered every question, and helped make the whole process of buying a car, which is not know for ease, a walk in the park.

Yesterday my mother who owns a 2007 HHR was over at my house and her key was stuck in the ignition, I tried and tried to get the key out but it was a loss. I did the research and saw that her car was one affected by the recall for the Chevy ignition switch issue. Had her call Dave Gill this morning (since it was the closest to her) to let them know and ask her what to do. They told her that it was a known issue and NOT apart of the recall and would cost her around $ 400+ to fix it. I was furious so I did some digging and had her call another dealership and she talked to the service manager there and they said in fact that it WAS part of the recall and to bring it in immediately. She did and they told her with the back order of parts it was going to take around 30 days to complete the repairs but not to worry, they gave her a rental car and said «we are covering the bill until your car is completely fixed and we are sorry for the inconvenience.»

Good start but horrible finish with these guys. I won’t name names today, however, when I first came to their dealership last week I was impressed with the young sales guy (we’ll call him Bill) that greeted me. You go to some dealerships and the guys are shooting the shit about the good old days. Bill came in from outside and we got down to talking shop with no bullshit. Most of the details were agreed upon except for the exact amount of our trade as it’s reasonable they need to drive the car before they settle on a price.
One of the key points that was communicated on my first visit was my parents were older and they don’t want the typical car buying hassle. My dad as early dementia and my mom has multiple heart, diabetes and long-​term pain issues. So they are not comfortable waiting for the typical games played at car dealerships. I made it very clear on the first visit we wanted a smooth process the day they came to sign things It didn’t happen in any respect.
It was made clear to Bill we didn’t want any of the «extras» dealerships try to sell. In the original numbers, $ 199 was included at etching for I.D. purposes in case the car got stolen. I had discussed with Bill this was not anything we wanted. Anyways, after I brought it to his attention it came off of the order.
So now we get down to the trade-​in value. KBB returned $ 3,600 (worst value category) and the used car guy came back at $ 1,500. We are okay if they take a little bit of a discount but not $ 2,100. As I climbed into our trade-​in car to head to Byers downtown for a 2^nd opinion, Bill came out to say they will give us $ 2,500. Our family are experienced business people and seek to be treated as such. Just get down to the bottom line and don’t make us wait.
The day before the sale, the financing was all arranged with our bank so all that was needed was to bring our I.D.‘s and sign on the dotted line. The exact color and car were already pre-​determined, so there shouldn’t be much to consider. After the haggle about the trade-​in, we were informed that it would be one hour before the finance people could get things done. Isn’t it just plugging some numbers in the computer and spitting out paperwork to sign?
My dad became restless because he doesn’t like to be away from home and my mom needs to have lunch due to her blood sugar. After some serious insistence on my side, the new car manager got his butt in gear. I am the customer and should be treated as such. If one finance person is working, cross-​train someone else or have two on staff so customers don’t have to wait. It must be a very comfortable market for dealers here in Columbus.
Lastly, we waited another 20 mins. for them to clean and prep the car. That’s fine but it should have been done the day before. All in all, what should have taken 45 mins. from start to finish, took 2.5 hours. What a waste of time.
Sell me the dealership and I’ll outpace the rest of the market here in Columbus!

Could not recommend this dealership more highly; I visited 5 – 6 dealerships in central OH and Dave Gill was by far the most professional and diligent. While they didn’t have my car onsite, the worked their tails off to find it, get it delivered, find the best financing rate and get me in the car. Ask for John; he was awesome! I will definitely be back!

You know the service level to get a simple oil change is outrageous. I have to take a day off work, just to get an oil change. Almost makes me want to pay at another place just so I can get in and out.

My experience begins with the search for an SUV. I needed something reliable but not necessarily too pretty. I wanted a basic vehicle that would drive through the snow with ease, and without costing a lot. Matt Ringlien is the new vehicle sales manager, but took on my used vehicle request as a referral from a friend. The process was simple, I emailed Matt with my requests in preferential order and the price range I needed to stay within. With his magic touch, and in just a few weeks, he was able to find me a 2000 Jeep, at around $ 10,000! Perfect! It had 4-​wheel drive which I needed and was even good looking. I could still take it on sales calls.
The search was a breeze for me. I didn’t have to do a thing! No negotiating, nothing. The purchase process was smooth sailing too. quick credit check and we were good to go! Since then, I’ve been back for service a couple of times and have been equally pleased.
Referrals are everything, and I would highly recommend asking for Matt!
