Great lunch spot, friendly service albeit a bit slow. The turkey sandwich is great, highly recommended.

This place has fantastic menu options for a deli. I had the jerk chicken sandwich with a side of potato salad. The persons I went with had salads which looked fantastic.
Looking forward to my next visit.

I didn’t even order anything from here. Just witnessing the way my friends had to wait for their food for a long time was a bad first expression. It turned out they didn’t even write down the orders. They at least acknowledged their mistake and started it instantly.

To me there OK. I might come back if I’m in a rush. but to me they could be better… I know I’m just 1 in a 100 that may not care for them…

The grilled cheese without bacon is to die for. Probably also delicious with bacon :) The side salad was really fresh and I was so impressed with the customer service!

You will never leave this place less than satisfied with the food. The owner is up front everyday, and it is nice to support a guy who clearly converts passion into a great final product.

Great spot. The 2MP was great. Owner named Bo even came out to say hi to everyone. He even told me basically the sandwich couldve been made better but even so, the food was already good. If I ever come back to Columbus, I’ll def be coming back here. The hard part is whether I should stick w the same order or try another sandwich.

Fall in love with the brisket, saturate yourself with the fresh roasted turkey BLT. Go back, and do it all again.

Asian pork belly is life changing. Spicy and sweet and wonderful. Bring a bib and extra napkins.

I ate a soup and sandwich combo here. It was amazing. The bread was fresh and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. I will be coming back here regularly.

The 2MP and Hot braised roast beef where two of the best sandwiches I have had in a while. The service, especially Bo was great and the prices are very reasonable for such awesome sandwiches. A must try if you are in the area!!!

Fantastic sandwiches at a reasonable price! The Jacked Chicken is delicious. The owner was onsite at lunch & spent several minutes making sure we were happy with our food.

I LOVE this place. LOVE LOVE the new look too! If your downtown you have to try it out. My fav is the hot braised beef but I venture on other stuff too. EVERYTHING is so DELIS…

Mr. Bo knows sandos! This is my favorite place to get a sandwich when I’m working downtown. Bo’s beef brisket is stellar and he always serves sandwiches with a smile.
This newly renovated restaurant features an aerial map of Columbus for diners to explore while waiting for take out or eating. The new menu features a variety of meaty sandwiches, including one with 3 cuts of pork, another with juicy braised roast beef, and the most popular BBQ beef brisket. There are also a couple of salad options that sounded good or a build your own option, as well as a soup of the day.
My team and I never miss a chance to visit this local business owner and I recommend a visit to all cbus foodies!

Wasn’t finished about the not so grilled cheese! Arugula was perfect green addition. Red wine vinegarette was great with the crispy salad. (Beginning of this review is in earlier post!!)

Seriously good! I haven’t had a single item that I didn’t like from Custom Chef. The owner, Bo, is super friendly and seems to really take to heart what the customers have to say. They just underwent a renovation; the place looks so much better! They also updated the menu a bit… I will rave about the Turkey BLT forever… he uses real carved turkey and the bacon is crispy and so delicious. I work downtown and love stopping over because it’s quick and good eats!

Hear ye! Hear ye! The best sandwich and salad place in town has arrived, for all you Capitol Square regulars! All sandwiches and salads are made to order, with ingredients freshly delivered from some farm, somewhere in Ohio. I had a
turkey vegetable stockhouse on sourdough. If only my mouth were large enough, I could have maybe eaten my sandwich without peppers and alfalfa spilling out from the obliques of my sandwich. The bottom line: your sandwich will be stacked like a double decker bus.
And Bo, gotta bring up Bo. Met the owner at work at World of Beer Easton. Helluva guy. His secret ingredient? Love. Every sandwich and salad is made with love.
Wednesdays are by far the best day to visit, for their $ 6 sandwiches.
**PS: Their tomatoes are not squishy or bland. Trust me.

Their beef brisket is the best I’ve ever had and on Wednesdays it’s only $ 6 for your choice of bread w/​chips! I’m talking melt in your mouth, very flavorful and worth trying!

I met the owner while outside on a coffee break and I gotta say Beau is pretty engaging. My first trip to Custom Chef wasn’t so great because I tried to build a panini sandwich that some how turned disastrous. Since then I’ve learned to eat the specials. My favorite things are the chicken salad on sourdough and a meatloaf sandwich. It’s pretty regularly priced in comparison to the other places in the area.
They are only open for breakfast and lunch but I have never had the breakfast, although my coworker recommends it.
