I’m a fan of Corner Stone — we swing by fairly frequently, especially when we are in charge of bringing beers to someone else’s place. We always find something unique to try, plus it’s a nice roundup of all the major local breweries (the ones that distribute, anyway). Besides Hausfrau Haven, I think this is the closest non-​grocery store beer/​wine place to German Village.
Staff is great at making recommendations. If you’re into pairing beers with your meal, let these guys know what you’re having for dinner and see what they come up with. They gave us some great pointers for a taco pairing.
There’s a small bar in the back, behind an interior window. I made use of it on a Friday evening while my husband was getting his hair cut at Old Familiar (which has a «no girls allowed» vibe, so this was a better waiting spot). I bought a four pack of pumpkin beer (only drank one, of COURSE) and enjoyed a book while I waited. You could round up a handful of friends (it’s not a very large room) and have your own private beer tasting back there, if you were so inclined! It’s not obvious from standing in the store, so I thought I’d mention it here.
Um… to call Corner Stone «cozy» would be an understatement. The shop is narrow, with two parallel aisles. If there’s any other customers in there at all, you WILL get in each others’ way. It can harsh my browsing mood, but it adds to the neighborhood feel.

I adore this place! I first visited this past weekend because we were on our way to celebrate two engagements, which of course, we had to honor with a few bottles of wine and champagne!
It’s a quaint little place off of Livingston in Olde Town East. They have a good amount of craft beer choose from, as well as a decent amount of wine. It’s a great place to stop in if you just want/​need a quick bottle of alcohol (No Liquor) for the evening or as a present.
They also have growlers for you to fill up on whatever they have on tap.
The person working was very helpful and friendly.

Definitely a good beer selection. A little puzzled by the previous reviews regarding excellent customer service. Had to kind of pry the guy to even speak. However once I got him to help he was able to suggest a couple good brews. I will definitely return!

What a cool little place! They have a fantastic beer selection and tastings as well. We did the Christmas Ale tasting last week, and it was a blast. We learned a lot and got to try some delicious craft beer! Look around a bit for some of the best beer available in Ohio.

Great concept and central location right in Olde Towne! The growlers are absolutely amazing, and their win selection is extensive with a lot of select reds, and blends. Most of the reviews have covered the selection, offerings, growlers, and prices but haven’t talked about the owners and staff.
The owners and staff are themselves clearly knowledgeable and very personable when it comes to their selection. Rarely a time do I go in to shop that someone doesn’t recommend anything new, explain new taps, or even offer some perspective on varying tastes and flavors in many of the beers. That level of knowledge and willingness to share and help each customer find what they are looking for or something different is what makes the experience special and very much Olde Towne East.

Tons of beers and wines. There is also about six beers on tap for growlers and they are fairly priced.

Corner Stone opened just about a month ago on the corner of Parsons Ave and Oak St., and is brought to you by the owners of The Tavern (across from Yellow Brick Pizza).
Feel free to build your own 6-​pack from a vast selection of beers, grab a bottle (or two) of your favorite wine, and/​or treat yourself to a 32/​64oz Growler filled with a tasty draught!
Prices are reasonable and it’s a nice, little hole-​in-​the-​wall place. Kevin, co-​owner, is a cool guy and is more than willing to suggest a tasty beer or just chit-​chat. For those of you who might accompany a friend and not like higher-​end beers, they do have a section for your familiars.
