I’ve been slowly making my way around all the libraries in Columbus. This is a small small branch tucked away in a neighborhood just north of Franklin Park. The setting is a nice community area, and it definitely feels like a little family-like library when you walk in. There’s a few cases of new books right at the front, a check-out counter, and a cozy children’s area. There are also a good number of computers and newspapers. The non-fiction and fiction is pretty small, but as with any CML branch you can order things for free from other branches. One of the most interesting things about this branch is the African art collection. There are a number of musical instruments including hand percussion, thumb pianos, and wind instruments, as well as some lovely beadwork and paintings. It’s not a big collection, but it’s definitely worth checking out.
