Columbus Glass Block specializes in the supply and installation of glass block windows, walls and shower enclosures. These units are available in clear, frosted and colored glass blocks. The glass block windows can be made with our without vinyl frames. The prefabricated glass block shower walls can also be supplied with a waterproof ready for tile base.

Columbus Glass Block is part of a network of glass block companies that operate also in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton Ohio and New York and New Jersey. We serve both regional and national markets as well.

Business Owner

Mike Foti is President of Columbus Glass Block, Cleveland Glass Block, Mid America Glass Block, Eastern Glass Block, Bath Doctor, Cleveland Design and Remodeling and Columbus Design and Remodeling and Cincinnati Design & Remodeling. Mike purchased the business from his father Joe in 1989 and set upon an aggressive growth path to expand the company both geographically and with new products and services that can add value to our customers’ properties. Mike has authored over 100 articles on glass blocks, windows, doors, bathtub and shower liners and remodeling. In addition Mike is the author of «News from the Block» (www​.news​fromthe​block​.com) — a remodeling blog with tips and ideas for the nicest home or business on the block.

Currently his corporation is a value-​added installer/​fabricator and nationwide supplier of glass blocks, replacement windows, doors and bathroom, kitchen and basement remodeling serving residential, commercial, and builder/​contractor markets.

Great group of guys to work with. They came over at a moments notice, I work around the corner so I was surprised they came over right away.
I’ve used them in the past when I bought a house and needed to replace the windows in my basement. They were very quick, professional and the price was great. They put such an impression on me, I called them up when I needed some glass block installed at work. They gave me an awesome price and got the work done very quickly.

This company provided great service from the quote to the installation. During the day of the installation, the installer arrived while the Emergency squad was taking my wife to the hospital and he waited until everything settled down (30 minutes) before starting work (he offered to come back at a better time, if that was helpful to us).

Broke one of those ancient basement windows when I was doing yard work. These 1950s steel frame, single pane windows came with the house and were undoubtedly installed by some Lucky Strike smoking world war vets. Well, their fine work was state of the art at some point, but these horrible windows were not much better than saran wrap, so with one broken, I had an excuse to replace them.
I hate spending money on the house, but it needs to be done. This is like buying a new refrigerator or a new blue suit — no one knows you’ve done anything different, but you are out a lot of money.
After calling many window places, Columbus Glass Block gave me the shortest timeframe for an estimate and the quickest time to do the work. They had several different glass block styles, and best of all, charged less than $ 600 to replace three windows on that side of the house. Check for coupons on their web site, as I ended up getting $ 75 off.
This winter, no blasts of cold air in the basement. No more ivy growing in. No more gaps for bugs. And best of all, these windows will last until long after I am gone.
Side note: my local hardware store gave me an estimate of six weeks before they could get the work done. Six weeks! I asked them if they’d be OK having a hole in the side of their house for a month and a half before telling them to get lost. Well done, Columbus Glass Block, and great craftsmanship, Richard, who did the installation.
