Specialties
Children’s Hunger Alliance is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that children without access receive healthy food, nutrition education and physical activity. Children’s Hunger Alliance does this by working with child care providers and breakfast, afterschool and summer meal programs.
History
Established in 1970.
Children’s Hunger Alliance has more than 40 years experience in hunger advocacy and direct service to low-income Ohio families. Children’s Hunger Alliance was launched with one volunteer, a $ 2,000 grant, and office equipment donated by the YWCA.
Headquartered in Columbus, Children’s Hunger Alliance works in every region in Ohio, with offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Toledo. Our programs and services touch communities in every county in Ohio, helping to provide nutritious food and physical activities to hundreds of thousands of children each year.
