History

Established in 2006.

Care Matters was founded by Columbus, Ga., natives and sisters. The idea to start a home care business idea developed when they were faced with trying to find quality dependable care for their grandmother.

The philosophy behind Care Matters is to provide caring, quality assistance to those in need and to help relieve the stress on family members who are caring for their loved ones. Our solutions provide clients with a higher quality of life by allowing them to live at home, where they want to be, as long as possible.

We will meet with you or your loved one and develop a care plan that meets and exceeds their needs and expectations. We also will assist with coordinating other local services that can help your loved ones meet the challenges of everyday life.

Business Owner

As director of services, Melissa brings more than two decades of experience in the healthcare and elder care industry. She obtained extensive knowledge regarding the special needs of the elderly and how diminishing senses, physical and cognitive abilities play a significant role in how elderly patients relate to their environment and those around them. She has extensive training in barrier-​free living and in the special needs of those with Dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease.
