I’ve never been to an establishment that knew ahead of time, that a sizable group was coming… And weren’t prepared. My steak was RAW, not medium rare like I ordered… and It was cold to the touch. My wife’s steak dinner wasn’t any better. On the drink side of things, my wife’s Corona came without a lime, and my margarita was in a beer glass, without any salt. All in all, it was a dive!

Nothing special. But heck, what did you expect? The bartenders are welcoming and fun. And the $ 10 steak dinners on Wednesdays are great. Lunch prices are decent and food is okay. The jukebox is too country… but then again, what do you expect?

Remember Lucky Dog Saloon? No? I’m the only one who reviewed it on Unilocal so no surprise. Well, it closed(partner disputes, I heard) and it’s now reopened as Bottoms Up. The marquee originally said it was going to be called Squeeze Play, but now it’s Bottoms Up. Yep. A name says so much about an establishment, doesn’t it… How is this place different than Lucky Dog Saloon? It’s not, really. I hate to admit that it still has that faint urinal cake smell, which is really unfortunate. Burgers, wings, fries, pizza and sandwiches for lunch-same for dinner, but priced a few bucks more. I felt adventurous so I got the«Almost Mammas Lasagna» with garlic bread. It wasn’t bad. Nothing to write home to Mom about. Not a lot of flavor but not bad for $ 4.99. Lunch buddy got the Pork Sandwich(hand-pulled pork BBQ) for $ 4.99. Again, not bad. Next time I’ll try their burger for that’s what’s going to make or break this place, I think. Its predecessor made a decent one so it’s going to have to stand up to it. I’ll report back with a burger follow up. Oh, I almost forgot-draft beer, including some craft! This is something LDS didn’t have. They have around 12 handles: Coors and Miller Light, CBCIPA($ 4,75 pint), Summer Shanty, Bud Light, Blue Moon, Blue Moon White IPA, Sweet Water 420($ 5 pint), Four Strings Brass Knuckle, PBR, Reds Apple Ale and Fat Tire. I think they still have a Steak Special on Wednesday nights and still have the local celebrity Cowboy Steve stop by for karaōke nights. Is this place a destination? Not really, but worthy of checking out for a quick beer and burger for lunch. Don’t let its cookie cutter of a template website fool you. It’s definitely a bait and switch. But the employees are nice so hopefully they can keep Lucky Dog, no wait, Squeeze Play, no wait, Bottoms Up open before it goes, well, you know. I can’t say it-too easy…
