I’ve been at OSU the past 3 years and have tried several salons in Columbus that I’ve never truly been impressed with. With Blake Rose I’ve finally found my go-​to for anything beauty related! Whether its hair, massage, nails, or facials, Blake Rose has it all and its all super convenient (which is ideal for a college student like me). Online scheduling is a breeze, the salon itself is inviting, clean, and modern, and every person I’ve booked an appointment with has been so helpful, personable, and skilled. The products they use (Bumble and Bumble for hair) are also what I love about this place, as I know I’m getting a quality service. Definitely give Blake Rose a try if you’re looking for a new salon in Columbus!

I am 100% in love with this place! I have been looking for a new hair salon/​stylist for over a year now and haven’t been able to find a place I’m in love with. One of my friends recommended Blake Rose and told me to go see Kristy for a cut/​color.
If you have ridiculously thick hair you understand the troubles of finding someone who actually knows how to work with it. I told her exactly what I wanted, and got exactly what I asked for. I am actually able to have good hair days again, and that is an amazing feeling :)
As for the color she did an equally amazing job. I had some really weird highlights going on. it was like a mix between a ombré/​balayage but looked really streaky and sloppy. I knew what I wanted it to look like in my mind and had even showed some pinterest pictures to the previous hair dressers I went to, but it just didn’t turn out. I told Kristy what I was looking for and she understood immediately. She barely asked any questions before she was mixing up the colors. It turned out perfect. props to her for being able to fix the nasty stuff that used to be on my head. I now have the most perfect balayage ever!
The salon itself is really pretty and open. I love the look and layout of the place. I don’t feel like I am in my mom’s hair salon. The décor is very hip and chic, loved everything about it. Also, they are brilliant and decided to give you footstools while your hair is being washed. I almost fell asleep I was so comfortable.
I will definitely be back to Blake Rose and already referred a few friends who were inquiring about my new hair.

I absolutely LOVE this salon! Bryan has been doing my hair for 3 years and I have never left unsatisfied. He makes you feel so comfortable and gives you his honest opinion about what fits best with both your face and your overall lifestyle. The staff is so welcoming and makes you feel so appreciated. I have also had facials and nail services and have been more than happy every time I have left. I highly recommend this salon. I can promise you will not be disappointed!

Harlow is still my hair sensei. I’ve been using her services for over 4 years and can’t imagine going to anyone else. I highly recommend her!

I’ve been going to Bryan Beaver for nearly 10 years and have never been disappointed with him! He’s constantly going to shows and staying up to date on the latest trends and techniques. He simply loves what he does and it shows I his work!!!

Kelly has done my gel manicures for the past couple months and she’s the first person who has ever given me awesome, trendy nail art! Matte, lines, glitter, metallics– she’s got it all!
I’ve also seen Lisa’s work and for the price, you can’t get a better, more unique manicure than with the gals at Blake Rose.
I love that I can book online and the salon itself is gorgeous and comfortable.

Had a great experience here! Brittney cut my hair for me. She was very nice and helpful. I was looking for a long layered hairstyle and she nailed it! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back! I would recommend Brittney as well. I loved the hairstyle I received from her.

I went here as part of a bridal party to get our nails done. I got a pedicure and manicure. First, the nail part of the salon is tiny. Not ideal for a getting a bridal party’s nails done. There’s two chairs and two nail stations but only two nail techs. The room is also tiny and for the 5 or so bridal party people, it was awkward and not really relaxing at all.
Second, it is so expensive. I got a french manicure and a bottom of the line pedicure and it was $ 69 without tip.
Third, the facilities and quality don’t match the cost. I can understand charging that much if you are backing it up with the service. Blake Rose, however, doesn’t. My French manicure was too thick and slanted on some nails. Also, some of my nails were rounded and some were squared. They didn’t use any pink color, just white. My nails chipped the same day and one was completely off within 24 hours.
The manicure itself was horrible. They put my fingers in some luke warm water, put some oil on the cuticles, did my cuticles, and put some lotion on it. No massage, no lotion after the polish was applied. I left with some dry hands and ugly nails.
For my pedicure my cuticles weren’t done, no lotion, no sort of massage. She literally took off my past nail polish, filed my nails, did a salt scrub, and painted my nails again. I couldn’t believe how bad the nail service was until I got the bill then I really couldn’t believe it.
If you like to waste money, by all means, go to Blake Rose.

If you’re thinking about trying this place, go for it!
I lived in Grandview for about a year, and ended up picking this place for all my salon needs. I went to Brittany several times for cuts and styles, and she always did a great job with my long, THICK hair. (It takes a stylist who knows what she’s doing to de-​bulk my hair. Otherwise, I get a poofy triangle look!) She was also very friendly too, and had lots of great recommendations for places to go and things to see while I was in Ohio.
I also got a shellac French tip manicure once, but I wasn’t as impressed… It started chipping just a few days later, although it cost quite a bit more than it would have at other nail salons.
So, between 5 stars for hair and 3 stars for nails, 4 stars is right on the money!

I first tried Blake rose salon when I saw they had a group on, normally these make me a little skeptical. I had such a great experience with Julie and my gel nails stayed on the full two weeks! I have been a loyal customer since! The salon is clean and modern, definitely will be going back again!

I adore Blake Rose Salon and Spa. I’ve seen Bryan Beaver twice at Blake Rose and both times I have left absolutely thrilled with the end result.
1.) The staff at Blake Rose are amazing. The ladies are incredibly sweet and attentive when scheduling and when you’re in the salon for service.
2.) The décor is fun, modern and has great waiting area equipped with coffee, tea and water, and a ton of magazines.
3.) The wait is so minimal every time I’ve been it’s virtually non-​existent. I don’t even have time to wait for my tea to cool before Bryan is ready to see me.
4.) They have great budget saving options if you’re running tight on funds (letting you leave with your hair wet, or even blow-​dry yourself). Check out their website’s description of salon services!
5.) MOST IMPORTANTLY!!! Both times I saw Bryan was to correct issues I had with a different stylist’s work (NOT associated with Blake Rose, let me make this very clear). And, he has never disappointed.
— The first time I saw Bryan was to correct and change a brand new hair cut I received at a different salon; I had my hair shampooed and styled. Bryan was patient and listened to me ramble about all the things I didn’t like about my brand new haircut, and suggested changes that would keep me and my wallet happy. The shampooing was amazing, lovely scalp massage helped me relax. And, Bryan worked his magic afterward. I left completely happy with the end result.
— The second time I saw Bryan was for color correction after JUST having my hair highlighted by a stylist, again NOT associated with Blake Rose. Bryan was again very patient with me, and gave me his professional opinion on my highlights. I had already spent $ 150 having my hair highlighted at a different salon, and was really upset at the prospect of having to spend that amount again. Bryan immediately calmed me down, explaining that he would work with the current highlights so that the money I had already spent wouldn’t be wasted. Again, he did not disappoint! I left happier with my color than I have been for over two years.
I would highly recommend Blake Rose, and Bryan, to anyone and everyone looking for a fantastic salon experience. I have my next appointment with him in two weeks for a cut and color and cannot wait!

My daughters and I have been clients of Lindsey’s for quite some time. We promptly followed her when she made the move to Blake Rose.
I love the new salon. It is so cute and fun. The booths give you some privacy too.
We absolutely LOVE Lindsey. She is sweet, genuine and beautiful! My 11 & 13 year old daughters adore her, and she always makes them feel special.
Last summer, when she got a new style, my 11 year old stated «Mom, Lindsey is a genius with hair!» I couldn’t have said it better!
Lindsey is very flexible & gets us in right away.

Prior to coming to Blake Rose, I’d only had a gel manicure once and didn’t find it that great of an experience. My nails grow fast, so I get the nail equivalent of roots, and the last place I went to yanked my cuticles, did a sloppy job, and used UV lights to set them. I wasn’t sold. Plus it’s expensive and another place I went to ruined my nails trying to get the gel polish off.
But right before a week-​long trip for work, I decided to try gel again. I wanted nails that looked nice but didn’t chip and require ongoing maintenance all week while I was at the conference. My friend Allie L. recommended Blake Rose to me and I figured it was worth a shot.
Lisa did my nails and I am SO pleased with them. Right now I’m on day 12 of my gel manicure. While they’re growing out a little, my nails don’t have a single chip (despite tons of travel, handwashing, dish scrubbing, etc.). I’ve already booked my appointment next week to have gel removed and reapplied. As an added bonus, Lisa and Julie are hilarious and easy to talk to.
Did I mention that a gel manicure with Lisa is $ 30 and a gel removal + new manicure is $ 32? Seriously this place is a hidden gem in Grandview.

Blake Rose is my favorite full service salon in Columbus. Here’s what I love it:
— Julie does my nails every 2 weeks and is amazing. She and Lisa do amazing nail art and Julie is the only one who will cut my nails as short as they’ll go. I love a short mani. A gel removal and application is only $ 35!!!
— Harlow fixed my fading ombré into something so subtle that I get compliments all the time. She’s great!
— The décor is lovely, lots of magazines and a gorgeous table where you can wait if you’ve arrived early.
— I’m always offered a beverage and I love that each person working there is independently employed. They set their own schedule and (in my opinion) work harder because its their own.

I moved down to Columbus about two and a half years ago, and have tried a few different salons since then. My experiences were all okay, and though I never ended up with an awful haircut, I never really felt excited about my hair.
Recently, with my ends getting scraggly and my bangs grown out beyond the point of reason, I decided to make an appointment at Blake Rose. It’s close to work and the reviews seemed positive, so I figured it was worth a shot. I went to their website to book online (which I LOVE), and made an appointment with Harlow about a week out.
The salon is beautiful. Very well done décor, especially the freestanding fireplace. It was busy but quiet, which is so nice after a long day of work. I love that they carry Alterna products, too.
Most importantly, Harlow did SUCH a great job on my hair. She took her time with the cut and gave my some great layers. It’s been about a week, and I’m still thrilled with her work. I straightened it on Saturday before heading out for the night, and it still looked amazing on Sunday morning, which NEVER happens. It’s like magic.
I will definitely be heading back!

I found my way here through a Groupon deal to see Lisa for a Gel Manicure. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the receptionist and offered a seat and a cup of coffee (in a real mug!). Well, that was exactly what I needed after rushing around trying to make my appointment on time.
As I was sitting there, I noticed how cool this place is. There’s a free-​standing fireplace that gives a very modern/​classy feel to the place and a giant oval table surrounded by mod plastic chairs. Initially thought this was kind of an odd waiting area, but it gave me a 360º view of the place and had my mind wondering about what kind of fun events they could hold here. I noticed a guy in one of the salon rooms giving some hair instruction to a stylist. I later found out he was the owner and thought it was pretty cool he was so hands-​on with the stylists. Since Blake Rose was just built, everything is still shiny and new.
During my manicure (my first gel), Lisa told me that Blake Rose Salon is run similarly to Salon Lofts in that all of the stylists are independent and work for themselves. I thought this was great, too. She was nice, answered any questions I had about the manicure process and salon, and did a great job.
Everyone was extremely friendly, seemed to get along with each other and it was obvious the environment was a positive one. I usually go across the street to Salon Lofts for my haircuts, but I just might have to try this place out again sometime soon. The online scheduling is a major bonus!
