This place is fantastic!!! I’ve brought my tiny poodle mix here twice. She always leaves happy and smells wonderful for 3 – 4 weeks after!!! I drive out of my way for my pup to get her hair done here. The groomer we had today was super cool and caring! Will always bring my poo here. thank you!!!

Last week I took my dog Marley to All About the Dogs for the first time in awhile. I described to Sara what I wanted, or so I thought, and David did the grooming. This the worst haircut he has had in his entire 11 years. He is shaved so close that he looks hairless. There are bald spots throughout his coat. His neck and his ear have scabs from being cut. The only way I know to describe this grooming is pathetic. That’s a word my friends used — who have seen him look gorgeous every other time he is groomed. I know I will not be going back to David ever again.

The services they provide are wonderful but OMG one of the groomers (a young blonde woman with tattoos) was smoking her vape (electronic cigarette) while she was grooming a dog! Blowing steam out of her nose like she wasn’t working. It was disgusting to watch on top of being completely unprofessional. If that’s an accepted practice there, I don’t know that I will be bringing my dog back. Take a smoke break if you need one, don’t do that over a dog you’re being paid to groom! I got a video of her doing it too.

I recently adopted a dog who has anxiety issues. I was a little nervous to bring him to the groomers for the first time because of his attitude towards new people… He is great with people at home but even with a lot of socialization Jack tends to panic when not in his safe place.
Sara recommended that we come in as the last appointment so she could get to know Jack and so he wouldn’t be overwhelmed by the noise of other dogs being groomed at the same time. When we got there she spent time playing with him and feeding him treats to make him feel comfortable. She went above and beyond cutting his hair. During the appointment she even texted me to tell me that he was doing great and not to be worried. When I picked him up they were playing fetch again. Sara is a true dog lover who cares about dogs and their experiences.
Jack is now a loyal customer!

Wonderful business, great prices and very professional. They were very flexible with schedule my appointment for my difficult Jack Russell who has a difficult time when getting his nails done. It took five minutes and they were so good with my dog, I was absolutely amazed. They made this a very easy experience which was normally a difficult experience at other places in the past. I highly recommend them, they are so kind and definitely care about the dogs best interest.

This place is great. Everyone is super friendly. Prices are extremely reasonable. They were doing a full groom on a little fluff ball when I was there, and they were doing a great job, she looked beautiful! I will continue to support this local business.

We used All About the Dogs for years while in German Village. it’s harder to get there now that we live in the burbs. But we miss them. They did great with our 2 german shepherd mixes (so. much. shedding.). The pricing was good.
Sometimes we get them back in there because we miss the awesome job they did.

The staff here are great and were nice enough to open early at 730 to do my dog’s nails since she doesn’t play well with others. I also got a nice self serve bath in for her and she’s a happy doggy now!

I have been looking for a place with a self service dog washing station and this place has three tubs for public use. The price is fair and the employees there are helpful and friendly.
The leash to keep your dog from wandering away is great and all of the soap that you need is right there for you to use.
I cannot comment on the quality of their grooming since I washed my dog but if you are looking to do it yourself look no further.

Finally!
After searching thru various groomers in Columbus I found one who matched the skill of my dog’s original groomer.
On another review my dog got sliced and diced by a snotty groomer at the Dublin Petsmart (who’s employees jumped on Unilocal to write them nothing but positive reviews following my dog’s incident) which inspired me to check for Safe local Groomers.
The reviews and pictures by other customers, led me to choose «All About the Dogs».
For my brief stay in Columbus we’ve gone here without incident.
The only thing they do that’s kind of annoying is rotating Groomers without notifying you.
First time I set an appointment with the owner «Sarah», I arrived for my appointment to be informed that «Melody» would be Grooming my Pekingese. «Melody also said she could not trim his hair the way I liked but would do her best.
I let «Melody» trim him a few times before I walked in to find out «Michelle» would be grooming my dog that day.
I was lucky to get Michelle. She understood exactly how I wanted my dogs hair and the lack of concern most chain Groomers have.
She talked me thru what she would do to get his fur to appear fluffy, and tools used to do it, shampoos, conditioners, dryers, brushes etc.
She’s very nice and relatable and is knowledgeable about various genetic conditions that may affect your dog. She’s not a Vet but at least she knows and cares.
Michelle also takes the time to get to know your dog’s names and personality.
Once I was late to pick up my Pekingese and Michelle wasn’t irked, and actually stayed to talk to me about show breeds.
The Grooming cost is just about the same as a Chain groomer but with more care for your pet and your dog will smell good for about 3 weeks, at least mine always did.
They offer Anal Gland expressing service alone, for $ 10. When your dog is scratching his booty across the floor, it’s not because he/​she has worms. There’s 2 glands in their bottom that release fluid everytime they defecate, that’s unique to them and smells like a rotting seafood buffet. It’s also what your dog goes for when they sniff each other’s rumps to get information…(Neutered Male, ate Blue Buffalo dog food… and possibly bacon this morning…). When the glands are full they can release when your dog is scared say if you’re in your car and suddenly brake. It sprays out automatically as a response to fear… then your car smells like Low Tide… happened to me twice… T_​T so I learned not to forget
Anal Gland expressing can be included in your grooming package or alone. They also use the «Pay cloud «reward system so you save $ 5 after so many services.
I think they offer self-​washing services for a fee?
All About the Dog’s has been good to us during our stay in Columbus but both of us were happy to kiss below freezing temps and the weekly Tornado warning goodbye in favor of returning to California.

Throughout many management changes I have been a happy customer. I even gave them a great review a few years back! I have 3 toy poodles. I usually groom them in pairs, since one of the dogs hair grows faster than the other. She can’t help it! She’s a mix between poodle and yorkie. Most recently I noticed my 3 pound dog with a bunch of nicks and cuts, and no body told me? WTF! Ok, let me give them another try. I make my early appointment to get 2 of my dogs groomed. Let them know which ones since they all get groomed differently. I walk and in and the male attendant told me I only made one appointment and he can only take one dog! What! It’s 8:30am! You cannot accommodate me for an oblivious error your employee made? Don’t you see on my card I have 3 dogs? Don’t you see I’ve been coming here for years? I was not about to leave one dog and make another appointment for 2 weeks out for the other! I decided to leave and never come back. One more thing that bothers me about this place, and it has since the last management change is that someone lets their pitt bull walk around while the other dogs get groomed or in cages. I do not like my 4 pound dogs near a Pitt bull. I don’t care if Cesar Milan himself was in the place. I don’t want to be that «oh sorry, he’s never done that before» statistic! So I’m happy to say even though I live couple blocks away. I will never set foot in this place again!

I took my 8 week old puppy for his first bath/​trim before going to his first vet visit today and it went so well! The staff was very nice and helpful!
I really liked the tubs where you can give your dog a bath on your own, it helps you have that quality time with your puppy/​dog. But if you dont want to bathe them yourself, they will more than gladly do it for you.
This place provides the shampoo/​conditioner and towels so all you need to bring is your dog!
After you have given you dog a bath, you can dry your dog with a dryer (or they will do it for you). Lastly, they perform the trimming and cutting of the nails.
Overall, it was a great experience– the prices were reasonable and fair. My puppy had a blast!

Absolutely love this place, as do our furry babies. All of the staff is extremely kind and work amazingly with animals. Our oldest pup doesnt do the best woth getting groomed, but Michelle at All about the dogs works wonders with him. There is noqhere else I would send them, and I know dropping them off that we will always get great results here!

LOVE this place and so do my dogs. They have the most skilled groomers around town. You need to book a couple of weeks in advance as they stay very busy… which is another sign they do a great job. They ask what you want and keep it on record. I have had several different groomers that are employed there — and honestly have always been most pleased with the results, no matter which one takes care of my dogs. They are always polite and accommodating.

I’ve tried it a second time and can’t feel justified in giving the business any higher than two stars.
Both times I’ve taken my dog, it’s taken hours longer than I was told to get his hair cut. I wasn’t expecting as much the second time either since I told the groomer to just buzz everything off short.
After more than once telling the groomer that I just wanted everything buzzed off, I received my dog back with only some of the hair buzzed short. Other parts like the tail and face were left over 1.5−2 inches long. I take it this was the groomers attempt at giving my dog a «fashionable haircut» but it’s not what I asked for, not what I wanted, and not practical for my intended purpose.
To top it all off, after paying for a cut that I didn’t end up liking, a week later my dog got kennel cough from this groomer. And certainly from here, considering the dog has no other interaction with other dogs in the last month. On top of the high price I already paid to get a bad haircut on my dog that I didn’t ask for, now I’ve paid an additional $ 200 to get my lil guy treated for their lack of sanitary practices.

Nice facility overall. Convenient and good for lack of planning as I just walked in and got a bath at the weekday discount. I was hoping for something a little more up to date but the reason for the 3 is that although the staff was friendly with me, I was startled when one of them screamed at the dog she was grooming for trying to bite. I just think they need some more training in canine behavior. patricia mcconnell’s blog, the other end of the leash, or meeting with behaviorst Traci Shreyer would be a start. I would definitely go back for a self wash but would be hesitant to leave my dog unattended.

This place is nothing short of amazing.
While in town to visit my brother at OSU, my husband I and decided to take our dog to the dogpark a short walk from where we were staying near the Brewery District. Beautiful day, great park, what could go wrong? Right?
Everything was going smoothly until our pooch decided to mud wrestle in the biggest, muddiest puddle I’ve ever seen. I swear, it’s the dirtiest he’s ever been in such a short span of time. There was NO WAY we could bring him into the hotel looking like that without some heavy duty room charges (damn you, pet waiver).
So, we were exceptionally relieved when the owner of the dog our pooch was mud wrestling with told us about the self serve dog wash not to far away.
For $ 14 we were able to wash our muddy puppy and restore some level of cleanliness to our lives. All About Dogs provides aprons, towels and several choices of shampoo for a DIY doggie bath session. One of the tubs even has a ramp leading up to it to make getting a large dirty dog squeaky clean even easier.

My cock-​a-​poo Tallulah is quite the character and needs some special treatment when it comes to being groomed. All About the Dogs handled my request for a straight-​through appointment without a problem.
On the day of her appointment the groomer patiently listened to my laundry-​list of instructions and looked at pictures I had brought. Two hours later I went to pick-​up a happy, perfectly groomed puppy with her face cut just as I had showed the groomer in the picture. Afterwards, we went for a walk at Schiller Park (conveniently 2 blocks away).
