Alexanders Jewelers started initially at Easton and migrated to The Short North Arts District of Columbus 9 years ago. The neighborhood better reflected the unique nature of the store. The Short North Arts District is one of the premier shopping and Cultural areas in Central Ohio.

Alex Khvalsky started out as the Timepiece Coordinator for a Highly reputable Jewelry boutique at Easton Town Center. Alex quickly rose in popularity and decided to move the business to The Short North Arts District of Columbus. This move allowed for the expansion of the business to not just have the finest timepieces in Central Ohio but was the birth of Alexander’s Jewelers.

Alexanders Jewelers has become the place for all Central Ohio watch afficionados with all the top Swiss marquees, and is increasingly becoming the destination for brides that want a ring that stands out from the crowd with Engagement Rings and Wedding bands. Have been a customer for quite a while and thought I should finally write a review. The staff is friendly, professional and seem to actually care about their customers. Incredible selection and best prices in the city that I’ve seen. Everyone is great there I usually work with Shane or Alex.

I came in here a little over a year ago to have the battery changed on my 20 year old Tag Heuer watch. I later learned that they are not an authorized repair location or retailer of Tag Heuer, they also never claimed to be– that was my own oversight. Previously I’ve gone to a non-​Tag authorized location for my battery changes and everything was fine.
This time in addition to my battery, my clasp was popping open too easily as well, they fixed that very well but the band was a bit big afterwards (I don’t understand how that happened, but they did a fine job, guess it’s part of the tightening procedure?).
They said they could replace the crystal face on the watch for about $ 50, I’m glad I didn’t because I recently learned that all tag’s have a sapphire face, not a crystal.
But the real reason for my review of a visit I made slightly over a year ago is that my watch began to run slow a couple of months ago. Typically, my watch can easily go 2 years between a battery replacement, this replacement only lasted precisely one year.
They were courteous and helpful and reasonably priced– but I don’t think I will take my watch back there given how briefly the battery lasted, they also had to keep my watch for a couple of days whereas other places have been able to do it on the spot.
So I gave them 2 stars, Unilocal literally describes «meh, I’ve experienced better» as the phrase for a two star place, which is how I feel. It’s suitable, but I’ve experienced better. No hard feelings.

That is complete BS Alex. I did not raise me voice nor did I become agitated. If anything, I was in awe at how rude and discourteous your employee was. The response you posted here is in stark contrast to this direct message you sent me:

We do not size wood watches due to the issues we have had in the past where the links shatter. She is German and perhaps just the way she worded things was not proper. I stopped into Alexander’s on a Friday evening to get my watch checked on, as it wasn’t working properly. Alexander surmised that all it needed was a replacement battery, and was able to get it switched out within 30 minutes.
While I browsed the other watches on display, he and his staff were courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable about their wares. While I wasn’t in the market for a new watch at the time, I will definitely come to Alexander’s when I’m ready. Excellent service and friendly advice.

My husband and I have been patrons of Alexander’s Jewelers for almost 10 years. Although chain jewelry stores have their place, I love that Alex and his staff are able to provide unique, almost — if not entirely — one of a kind pieces. His staff helped my husbande and I create our own ring by pulling elements together for the perfect outcome.
Even with their uniquue pieces, they’re prices are reasonable.
They make relationships with their ‘customers’. Everytime we’re in, Alex greets us personally, and takes time to catch up.
If you’re in the Short North, definitely stop in!

Alexander’s is just OK to me.
We were in the Short North and my fella happened to tell me that his watch battery was dead, so in we went.
We were told that it would be 15 minutes, so we waited.
After about 20 minutes, the woman told us to «come back before 8.»
We went back about 2 hours later and waited… and waited.
I guess only the «watch guy» can give you your watch with a fresh battery.
It was quality work, just a little silly with their processes.

I went to Alexander’s jewelry to shop for an engagement ring. Shane was very helpful, I found the diamond I liked and on a separate ring the setting I wanted. Shane said it was no problem to customize the ring for me. Also he made sure the ring was completed in record time so as I could still ask her to marry me on the date I was wanting. (And of course she said yes) I HIGHLY recommend Alexander’s Jewelry, very friendly staff that make you feel at home, almost a family atmosphere.

My mother-​in-​law had an antique pendant that other jewelry shops didn’t seem to want to try to fix. I had heard excellent things of Alexanders & thought we’d give one more jewelry shop a try to repair this old pendant. Lee was amazing! So friendly & confident it wouldn’t be a problem to repair. It took about 3 weeks to get back, but hey-​no one else would even try. When I returned to pick the pendant up, I brought a watch band in to have checked out. (I had also taken this to another jewelry/​watch shop & was pressured into replacing the whole watch & not just the band.) Alex was able to help me replace the band & the glass face of the watch & not try to talk me into buying something I didn’t really want or need.
Thank you for the great experience, friendly service & lack of pushy, high pressure sales! Will definitely be back.

simply the best. bottom line: service, value, and selection are superior to every jeweler in a 100 mile radius. When you are finished wasting your time with other vendors, make your way to Alexander’s Jewlers and visit Shane.
I worked exclusively with Shane. He was easy to work with, and demonstrated his superior product knowledge by quickly locating a short set of engagement rings based on my fiancé’s preferences.
Shane was able to discribe in detail the cost and quality differences between the various products selected. In the end, he was able to help me design the perfect custom engagement ring for my fiancé. My fiancé loved the round halo set in white gold that Shane recomended!
After I proposed, I took my fiancé back to Alexander’s (after wasting time at several other local vendors) to select our wedding bands. Shane helped us find a perfect match for my fiancé’s round halo, and a splendid cobalt band for myself.
The price we paid was just under prices I found on the Internet, the difference being able to see the product ourselves in store and receive superior customer sercice from Shane.
I first came across this store when researching engagement rings. I completed a comparative cost analysis of numerous jewelers in the greater Columbus area. Vendor’s analyzed include retailers such as Jared, Kay, Diamonds Forever, Worthington Jewelers, and many others. The results revealed that this vendor had the highest quality product, at the lowest prices, and the best customer service.
In summary, don’t waste your time; just go to Alexander’s Jewlers first!

I have nothing but great things to say about Alexander’s! Great customer service, product was amazing, and everything was done in a timely manner.
I recently bought a large turquoise and silver ring off a boutique on the west coast and was upset when I found out the ring was actually exceedingly smaller than the description of what I had paid for. Originally I had bought the ring thinking it was a size 9 and would take the ring to be sized up to an 11. When I took the ring to Alexander’s they informed me thy the ring was actually a size 6 ¾! I was told there would be an extra cost due to such a large difference in my size need. Totally fine with me, I understood that perfectly because they would have to add more silver to the band, etc.
Today I picked up my ring (as scheduled) and instead of charging me the extra cost in the sizing they only charged me the regular price! So sweet and nice to me. I would recommend Alexander’s for any sizing needs.

I had a ring resized here and it took 2 re-​dos to get it right. I don’t mind that I didn’t have my ring for a month after I got it… I’d rather have it fit right. My problem was that the third time I was in there the lady was rude and commented on them spending more money to resize than my fiancé spent on the ring AND the last and final resizing they never called me when it was done and the ring came back bent up with imperfections that weren’t there before.

It is a pleasure doing business with Alexander’s Jewelers. Everyone who works at Alexander’s, including Alex are a joy to be around. They’re knowledgeable, trustworthy jewelers who listen to your wants and they are friendly throughout the entire process.
We purchased my engagement ring and wedding band at Alexander’s Jewelers, they had exactly what I was looking for (an antique ring with a modern flair at a fair price and believe me I searched and searched!) We highly recommend Alexander’s Jewelers, I feel they are the best in Columbus. You should see for yourself… you’ll have happy you did.

About 15 years ago my dad gave me a Rolex a few years ago it stoped working. I took it to a Rolex dealer in Columbus After being told the cost to repair it I put it away and did not fix week. This past fathers day I took it out and it was working (my dad died six years ago) after a few weeks it stopped. I was told by a friend to take it to Alexanders. When I droped it off i was impressed with the store and the owner. A week latter I pick up the Rolex the cost was over 80% cheaper than the what the other Jeweler wanted. I also had Alexander add some bling to the dial. Can’t believe how nice it turned out. Very Happy with the SERVICE

I love this place. The people that work there spend a lot of time with you, and they remember you by name (even if you don’t come in a lot!)
I’ve done everything here: had appraisals done, bought things, had things ordered in, and had a repair done. Everything was top notch, done in a timely manner, and always with a smile.
i could sit there and talk to Shane (on of the employees who is always there) for hours, he’s so fun. Also, rarely found in the jewelry business: they’re honest!
My only qualm about this place is that I always want to go there on Mondays and that’s the 1 day that they’re closed.

Alexander may provide better service to their Rolex shoppers, but they screwed me when I brought my Seiko in for a repair.
My watch had stopped, and I took it in to see if they could fix it. The guy at the counter told me he could fix it for $ 50. He said they would replace the internal movement. He looked up the price of the repair and told me he’d made a mistake. The repair was supposed to cost $ 100, but since he’d already told me $ 50, he would honor that price. He said a new movement would last for another ten years.
I don’t think he did squat, because 3 months later, it was dead. Since he was «giving me a deal» on the repair, I never thought to ask for any paperwork or real receipt. I wouldn’t trust this guy if I were you.

Here’s how you know Alexander’s has good stuff: you have to ring a doorbell and be buzzed in by a security guard.
Alexander’s has a nice selection. They cater strongly to men, selling high-​end, pre-​owned watches. You really wouldn’t know that most of the watches were pre-​owned though. They’re in very good shape.
Watches are their specialty, but they also sell (new) jewelry for men and women. If you can’t find something that suits your fancy, they will work with you to custom make a piece — for a price, of course.
The owner, Alexander, is a Russian immigrant. He comes with all the old-​world charm. Needless to say, the customer service at this jewelry store is on the money. They treat you like royalty.

A solid store with friendly staff and unique items. Breitling, Tag Heuer, Rolex and all the standard watches, plus less commonly seen brands like Oris, Baume and Mercier, and Zenith are all on display and many used (but great quality) items are also available.
In addition to the watches, the store features a nice selection of Teno’s titanium products, Cartier rings, and other high and medium range items.
Best of all, they don’t badger and pester you when browsing… clearly they have never been to Jared where that is the norm.
