Best gyros we’ve ever had and the fries with the special seasoning are delicious too. There are actually 2 of these places run by brothers, one in Powell and one in Worthington, Both are consistently good with authentic roasted lamb on a twirling spit shaved before your eyes,

The food is very good and was a pleasant surprise. Not a lot of curbside appeal but the food and people make up for that. I will be back when I am in town.

They used to be hands down the best gyros in town. Recently they changed the cucumber sauce on the gyros. I hope they go back to the old sauce. I guess i will check back in a few months.

judging from the exterior it used to be a taco bell. I get the gyro combo. the fries are fresh and crispy. gyro is perfect. I add feta to mine.

Sometimes I just have to have a Gyro. This place has really good gyros and is always consistent. The requirement of having a pita packed so full of fillings and sauce that there is no way you can eat it without it spilling everywhere is easily met. Store always seems to be reasonably clean and the staff always has been pleasant and service has been good. Although I have never had them, my wife and daughter also give them high marks for the salads. I am a regular here and usually stop at least once a month when I need my gyro fix.

Very good Gyros-some of my favorite in the city. Good taste and flavor, and they have a drive-thru, which is nice(it is very narrow, so be careful with your car). Their onion rings, mozzarella stick side dish options are very good as well. I’d highly recommend this spot if you have a taste for Greek food on this side of town.

Love this place, it’s great that they have a drive thru, it’s nice to have that option near buy that is fast, family owned and delicious. I am not much of a soup fan but their lentil soup is to die for. Their hummus is Right up there with the lentil soup. This place is definitely a staple in my household.

Best gyros in town. Always my first choice when I get the gyro craving. They give you tons of meat, which is delicious. And the sauce is incredible. I have never eaten inside so I can’t comment on the interior, but I can say that the drive through is an average of 2 minutes from order to drive away. Don’t be afraid to give them a try.

Great original and chicken gyros. The baklava is delicious. They have daily specials on the board inside, so make sure to check those out too. Very clean restrooms, friendly and quick service, and plenty of outdoor patio tables with umbrellas. It’s a nice lunch stop if you’re in the area. Also, they have their own rewards card, so pick that up for free if you think you’ll be a frequent visitor.

I visited Acropolis a few times in the past without issue. However, on my last visit(4⁄96:30pm)the chicken gyro tasted funny(like it had sat around in mayo or some other cream or sauce), so I didn’t finish my food. Less than an hour later my stomach started to feel upset. Within the next hour I was a frequent visitor to my toilet. By 8:40 asked my husband to call the restaurant for me since I was resting and since the stomach bug is going around we wanted to ‘report’ my stomach troubles. Boy oh boy, we weren’t expecting the response we got. The woman who answered was very rude to my husband, he told her the chicken tasted bad to him so he spit it out. She was offended and proceeded to tell him«no one has ever said that about my food.» He asked her name, so he could call back and speak to her manager, and she refused to tell him. She asked him«what he wanted» and he said nothing and that we just wanted to report it. When he asked her name again, she hung up on him. They have such good reviews I don’t expect them to care that my family won’t return, but it would be great if they dealt with their customers better. Just because they are family recipes don’t mean they are the holy grail.

Acropolis has been providing Greek food to the residents of Beechwold for years. Homemade spanakopita, hummus, and tzaztiki sauce, a variety of desserts, in addition to mainstream gyro-shwarma fare. They also have been doing Chicago-style hot dogs since way before the frankfurter craze ever hit Columbus(celery salt ftw). The place is humble, casual, and decorated as many Greek restaurants are — blue and white, stucco, murals of a) gyros and b) Grecian coastline. Plenty of tables and two TVs, so no one has to finagle their place at the table to see the tube. They also have a drive through, which is super when you’re heading home and feeling too lazy to get out of your car. Those spanakopitas are hand-sized, so you don’t even have to wait until you get home to eat. Just sayin’. Food here is very middle-of-the-road — they know their menu and do it well. You know you’ll get good food no matter what you order, no surprises. Once in a while there will be a short-term new item(noted by a piece of paper stuck to the menu board), but they really make good food fast. Vegetarians can find plenty to eat here as well — but ask about the soup broths to be sure. Acropolis’ ownership has expanded their business into Greek Express, a more upscale dining room experience(but with the same food). I think I like this little place the best, however. Not fancy, just right.

I have gone to Acropolis twice in the last two weeks just for their salad with chicken. The salad is not particularly special, romaine, banana peppers, feta, some olive, tomato, and cucumbers, but I really like the dressing. Using it is probably negating my futile attempt to eat healthy. For 7.99 you get a nice size salad with pita. For this price it is a nice fast food option other than a burger place. They also have a drive through with is helpful for someone on the run.

Conveniently located on the corner of North High with plenty of off-street parking. Casual dining with good food. They even have a mini gyros for a more modest appetite. Their lemon chicken soup is tasty – made with orzo rather than rice. Opa!

Went here at the behest of a friend that swears this is the best gyro in Columbus. I’ll say myself it has a hat in the ring. The food was good for the value and the service is friendly, but what stands out about this place is that it must be one of the cleanest fast food type restaurants in Columbus. It’s immaculately kept, tastefully decorated, and quite cozy. A solid B. My only complaint is the styrofoam cups. The sound of the straw scraping the styrofoam makes my balls shoot up into my abdominal cavity. Sickening. But on the plus side, I took it home, shredded it up, mixed it with some gasoline, and ended up with some passable napalm.

It’s not a Yanni’s gyro and it’s not Mazah’s falafel, but it’s A-OK! One word– Drive thru and better than drive thru food! Ok 8 words! I tricked you! I ordered the regular gyro(larger than anticipated) and the falafel with tatziki. The gyro meat was above average and a good portion. The sauce was tasty, but very garlicky. Bring gum or mouthwash for after you each. Way too much lettuce, but who cares? The falafel were disappointing. Overly greasy flattish patties. Tatziki was more traditional than I’ve been getting lately. So, that is appreciated, but I noted sour cream, which I’m not sure if that’s traditional. I usually go off of Niko’s in Cleveland and there’s is just yogurt based. Friendly fast service! Anyway, it was a solid greek lunch and much less expensive that Yanni’s or Mazah; however, I would have preferred either.
