Womankind OB/GYN Associates

Just want to point out that gynecology is spelled «gynology» on the home page of the website. Sorry, but if you can’t spell your own medical practice then you’re not getting near my uterus!

Before I had children, I would have probably given this place 2 or 3 stars. But that was before I realized just what all an OBGYN does. As a young woman only needing a yearly, I often was confused as to why I’d have to wait 10, maybe even 15 – 20 minutes for my appointment. I’d get frustrated, but I assumed it would be the same anywhere I went. That may be the case, but I’m so glad I stayed with Womankind and had my two children (about to be 3^rd) with them. With both of my deliveries, I unfortunately had to spend a great deal of time in the hospital. Four days prior for my first, actually. And one of my doctors was there every morning before 8am, and every night around 10pm, and often many times throughout the day. I quickly realized that their day is a LONG one, and the time you see them in the office is a tiny portion of all that they are doing. If you ever have to wait for an appointment, it’s not because the doctor doesn’t value your time, it’s because she has spent hours with a patient through a difficult delivery. While all of our time is valuable, the most important time they could spend is when in labor, when you need it most. And that has to be the doctor’s priority. After seeing just how much they care for their patients, to spend hours and hours outside of their office hours with us when we need them most, it made me realize what a great practice this is and to not mind having to wait a few minutes for my appointment. Trust me, if the doctor is running behind, she’s having a MUCH more difficult day than you are.

DO NOT GO! The first few appointments I had with the nurse practitioners were great they were very friendly and knowledgeable, but after that it was all down hill! I am pregnant and had an appointment with Dr. Hundley, I waited a long time to see her, when she finally came in she was extremely rude and would not answer any of the questions I had. She was belittling and very unprofessional, I left very upset. I wrote a letter to the office manager stating my concerns about Dr. Hundley, I got no response until I asked for my records to be sent to my new doctor. They said the manager would contact me about what happened… she never called. I sent another record request and my new doctor sent a record request, still they did not send my records. I called and made it clear I needed my records sent the receptionist said she would send it, I called my doctor and again they did not receive my records! It has been three weeks my new doctor is now having to contact the labs to get my records directly because this office is so unprofessional and rude! My new doctor is Dr Aziz and she is so sweet and funny! Highly recommend her!

I couldn’t be happier with WomanKind and the nurse practitioner I saw today. I was a first-​time patient and pretty nervous. The receptionists got my paperwork processed in short order. My wait time after filling out the initial paperwork was no more than 15 minutes, which I think is pretty reasonable for a busy office. I saw Sandra Wittholz, one of the nurse practitioners. She was extremely kind and supportive and treated my concerns with respect and care. I’ll be back!

Wow, the things I have to say about this place. The receptionists are a bunch of B’s. So incredibly rude! I did not even get a chance to review the doctors of how incredibly incompetent the receptionists are. STAY AWAY! I had an appointment at 10am and arrived at 9:45am. They never gave me my paperwork until 10:10am and I gave them back my paperwork at 10:20am. 11am rolls around and I come up to the receptionists wondering why I’ve been waiting over an hour. Their response: Well we ask that you come 30 minutes early and since you came late we have to work you in the schedule again and we’re still waiting on your insurance. WTF? Idiots! I was livid!
I also find it extremely funny that once my bad review got posted 3 good reviews just magically pop up (guessing some friends of the staff). They receptionists WERE indeed rude. Correction the only there was actually one decent one that was tolerable and it was some lady with red hair. They kept me waiting for over 1 hour and 15 minutes and never informed me of anything. They decided to automatically be rude to me due to the fact that I was «late» when I was 15 minutes early. So of course I was extremely unsatisfied by the lack of professionalism that this OBGYN exhibits. and YES I am judging this place and the people because that is was Unilocal is all about so If I’m sad and boring I guess the rest of these Unilocalers on this site are as well. I am here to warn people about this place in order to save them time, effort, money, and aggravation out of their busy lives and schedules as I wasted a good hour and a half here that I will never get back.
Afterwards, I scheduled an appointment with another OBGYN at the Women’s OB-​GYN Group and I have experienced the utmost professionalism, courtesy, and organization that is expected. The staff literally took less than minute to ‘approve’ my insurance unlike the other place. They were nice and helpful and was not one bit condescending or rude. They did not ask me to come early because they seem to be incredibly organized and they got me in and out in no time.
So once again, I repeat do not believe these ‘fluffed’ up reviews because they are merely friends of employees or the employees themselves. This place is terrible and you will be treated very poorly. If you want a great OBGYN in the area I would personally recommend Women’s OB-​GYN Group. I absolutely love that place and the true professionalism it exhibits.

I am not surprised to see only three reviews on Unilocal for this office and that they are all negative. Most of the time people don’t bother to write good reviews for a doctor’s office. We expect and demand good service and care from our doctors or we find another one. It is a shame that some people had a bad experience for their first visit and felt they had to write about it. But first impressions and one bad experience can turn you off. I understand that. But I would like to add my positive review for this office since I have been a regular there for over 8 years.
Sure I have had to wait a few minutes for my appointment but sometimes I walk right in. Isn’t that true at most doctor’s offices. The doctor may have had an emergency and is running late. In this office perhaps a delivery was possible. That’s why they call it the waiting room. Just bring a good book!
They take almost any insurance… and also medical assistance so that means they have a lot of patients to see every day and every evening. That sometimes makes for a wait time on the phone. Are you calling on a Monday? Every office is busy then after a long weekend. I find if they put me on hold for a while I just hang up and call back at a later time and almost always get a receptionist to handle my call quickly and professionally.
They offer a lot of other services at this office. You can have your blood work done right there. Your pap test is sent away and you call the number to get your results. They also have services for women that include skin and facial care. They never push any of these services on you.
My doctor always plays the preventative game. Prevent a serious problem before it gets out of hand. Find out what is wrong. She has ordered extra mammograms for me and sonograms. She always calls me back with the results… never asks anyone else to do it. Then we discuss the results and what happens next. She is very easy to talk to. She will answer all my questions. Write things down for me and repeat things again if needed. She takes her time. I am never rushed during my appointment. Never have I been treated rudely or condescending by any one at this office.
As far as the front desk I find them to be very friendly and informative. They greet you when you walk in and give you any paper work that you might need. Let you know your copay and take care of all of that right away. Then you are taken to the examining room by a CMA who takes your weight, vitals, etc. They also are very courteous.
Also this year to start off breast cancer awareness month they had a little festival outside in their parking lot. They were lots of give aways and some raffles. They had a DJ, food and drinks. You could talk to knowledgeable people about cancers that affect women. You could also have free tests. It was a great way to begin the month. All the money they earned went to help fight cancer.
So there it is. I hope that others who relay on these doctors for their health care and think highly of this office will write some positive reviews. It is a shame sometimes that we appreciate the good and never acknowledge it.

Holding on the phone and wait at the office is usually really long. Bill is way higher than other Obgyn places I have been. (i think rip off) I would not recommend and I will never go back!!!
