I’d enjoy a digiorno pizza better and it would have saved me $ 10! Hardly any cheese and terrible crust.

The pizza was thin, crispy, and delicious! The regular grits are spicy and cheesy. The price and service were great! We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon.

I called to order and asked if they have any specials the lady said no. She failed to offer any other menu items she seemed very indifferent I cannot support a place or even try a place for the first time when you’re treated like that over the phone. If you don’t have someone on the phone promoting your product it must not be worth buying.

Good thin crust pizza with nice selection of toppings. I liked their wings and turtle pie too! Clean and casual, can get beer and wine with your dinner. Trivia night on Wednesdays from 630 to 730 was fun, but you don’t have to join in, just relax. Will be back!

No wait to order and seat yourself. I had the shrimp & grits. Portion size was average 6 large shrimp with 1 ½ cups of creamy cheesy grits. Tasted like Velveeta cheese with Rotel for the seasoning. My co-workers shared their pizza so I could try it since this was my first trip. Pizza was a crispy thin crust. Sauce was flavorful but not overly so. Grits were good but I will be more likely to return for the pizza.

This fun and lively pizza restaurant in Columbia has not only delicious pizza and grits, but fast, friendly service like no other. In fact, as I was leaving on a recent visit, I admired an ornament hanging on their Christmas tree. When I left, the lovely female owner chased me into the parking lot and insisted on giving me the ornament. With customer service and great good like that, I will always make Trueloves part of my visits when I return to the area!

Sooooo not gonna go back to this place. Could be awesome though. 1. Service was bad, pleasant, but slow and bad. You have to go to the counter to order, which would be fine if it came out correctly. We didn’t get the salad we paid for. There was only one waitress/order taker for the after church lunch rush and two tables of party reservations. Looked like only two cooks so food was slloooow in coming out. 2. Pizza had cheddar cheese on it which made it very greasy. Shrimp on the grits were overlooked and tough. Grits were mush, rotel and velveeta. 3. The only reason this got two stars was the cleanliness and the cheesecake.

I’ll admit, when my beloved Sam Hill’s(the bar that was previously at this location) closed down and I heard that a place called«Pizza & Grits» was going to be opening in its place I thought«Ugh. Sounds ridiculous». I avoided it for several months. Then one day, tired of the«same old, same old», my wife and I decided to give Truelove’s a shot. Great decision. This is far and away the best pizza in town. Not that there’s very much competition outside of the big chains. But even still, I think Truelove’s pizza would be hard to beat even if there were several other mom and pop pizza joints in this town. On to the grits. This is what had turned me off from the place initially. Frankly, pizza and grits sounds like a terrible combination. To me at least. But somehow it works. I’m not even a big fan of grits but I could eat Truelove’s grits every single day. They almost, ALMOST outshine the pizza. On top of all that the dining area is pretty nice and always very clean. Truelove’s is now one of our go-to spots in Columbia. If I HAD to come up with something negative to say it would be that a few times the service has been a bit slow and inattentive. But this has definitely been the exception and not the rule. I know that everyone has their«off days» so I’m not too bothered by it.

This place has great pizza. Thin crust, good sauce, plenty of toppings. Great place to watch a game. Good beer. Wine if you want it. Go for the pizza and enjoy. This review is after 5 visits so consistency is a plus.

Awesome Grits! Their pizzas are thin crust just like I love. We had a large group here for a get together once and ordered many different pizzas. They were all very good. The last time I stopped in for lunch I couldn’t decide between pizza and grits. When we went to the counter to place our order I asked the cashier to help me decide. She recommended the grits so I ordered the shrimp and grits dish. These are no ordinary grits. They are spicy and delicious and the large shrimp served with them were great also. It came with a side salad with your choice of dressing. The restaurant has a very comfortable feel to it. The service is always good and even though you order at the counter they check on your table to be sure you have everything you need.

This is a rare business that truly values customer service. Went to try the restaurant for the first time. Heard many good things about the good food — and found out that all the favorable comments turned out to be true. We received the pizza with an apology that the pie had been a bit overcooked. Along with the apology, we received an offer to cook and provide a replacement. We turned down the offer, but was appreciative for the suggestion. We had not finished until we had received a visit from the gentleman who had served us. . who provided a gift certificate and an additional apology. Shortly thereafter, we received a fresh hot pizza as an added gesture. It is rare to find a restaurant that is so conscientious of the quality of the food and that had provided the ‘goodwill’ that proved that they really appreciate the customers. This was our first visit to the new restaurant and certainly will not be our last.
