Called this park multiple times to try and find out about making reservations for river equipment rentals and continued to be redirected by an automated message. Decided to drive over and a simple sign was posted«No tube rentals» blocking the trail. Disappointed traveler.

Finally got the pup’s pass to their bark park. the year pass is $ 40 and well worth it! Large fenced in area for your pal to run off leash, two small pools to cool off and a nice little area that resembles more their trails. Great way to socialize your dog with other breeds. Absolutely love this place!

My review is about the Saluda Splash water playground. This is a great place to spend the afternoon, especially in the hot summer days. The Splash zone is open every day April through Labor Day. You need to get $ 3 wristband(good for all day). This is on top of the park admission($ 5 per car). My 6 years old daughter had a blast! I had to drag her out after 2 hours. — Bring swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and bug spray. — There are clean restrooms where you can change. — There is a covered shelter where you can have a picnic(however on weekend is likely to be rented out for birthday parties). Added bonus! Right beside the splashing zone is a nice, covered, well equipped and safe for all ages playground. Two holes in one! More info and lots of pictures on my blog:

This is a great park to visit with kids. I’m not sure which path the previous reviewer is talking about, but we’ve never had trouble finding safe places to hike and bike. I’ve only been taking my kids there for the last couple years, so maybe more paths have been cleared since she reviewed it. Anyway, we spend at least one day at this park each time we visit my in-laws(a couple times a year) and there is always something new going on – from the Saluda Splash water-playground in the summer to gorgeous hiking and biking paths year-round. The new wetlands educational trail is very cool, and I look forward to doing some kayaking this summer. I would highly recommend this clean, safe park to anyone — especially those with kids. Oh, and about the mosquito bites — yeah, that’s a big problem. I highly recommend bringing some mosquito spray during skeeter season.

This is a very nice and peaceful river. It wasn’t too crowded when we went at all. Unfortunately, there isn’t a very safe or clear path to walk on so we ended up walking in the river most of the time. That actually led to a couple falls and trips over some huge rocks. Oh and I got about five mosquito bites. Ewwww!
