Printing & Graphics Association MidAtlantic is the trade association serving the graphic communications industry in Maryland, the Greater Washington DC area, Virginia, and Southern Pennsylvania.
History
Established in 1894.
Founded in 1894 as the Typothetae of Baltimore, the organization incorporated in 1954 as the Graphic Arts Association. The name was changed to the Printing Industries of Maryland in 1964 and again in 1999 to the Printing & Imaging Industries of Maryland. In 2005, PIIM merged with the Washington based Printing and Graphic Communications Association (PGCA) to form the current organization the Printing & Graphics Association MidAtlantic (PGAMA). PGAMA is the local affiliate of the Printing Industries of America. PGAMA’s membership area includes parts of Southern Pennsylvania, the State of Maryland, the District of Columbia and as of 2012 the State of Virginia.
