Pope Davis Tire and Automotive

I’ve always had great experiences with Pope-​Davis Tire. It seems like they’ve been in business forever here in Columbia. The sales staff and installers are always working hard to take care of the customer. That’s more than enough for me! Thanks Pope Davis.

I give them a 1 star because there isn’t an option for no stars. I came in because my low tire pressure sensor on my car turned on. I dealt directly with their General Manager (James Roberts) and left my key with him/​them before going to the office. James called me back to say that they found a slow leak on the outside of the tire and I needed a new tire … they’d have to order one and he gave me the insane price. I called my dealership (who, as you know, is never the cheap option) and they had the same tire for ½ the cost (Half!) … and now the kicker … the dealership tested and tested and re-​tested the tire … no leaks, nothing … tire was fine. My sensor just went off most likely due to a change in outside air temperatures. And there you have it. Avoid them … go anywhere else … even the Dealership.

Pope-​Davis had their chance to look at my vehicle and they didn’t. I sat around for an hour, and then they told me that they couldn’t hear or feel what I was talking about. I had to leave just to keep myslef from punching the liar.
I am 64. I don’t live in Columbia, but I used to. When I lived in Columbia, I always went to Pope. And since then, when I was close to needing some servicing on my vehicles and I happened to be in Columbia, I would take my vehicle to them. Not any more. Now they want me to come back again, and have them look at it again. No way, Jose. And go out of my way too! I already did once.
A bank robber would certainly love to be his own police, prosecuting attorney, judge and jury. To hell with these criminals. They will never set eyes on a vehicle of mine again. I cannot give them a low enough grade. Liars and cheats.
