Not worth the money. Wish I had taken a pic of my plate. The chopped chicken was maybe three small bites. My wife got chicken tenders which was a large enough order but for me personally, I don’t care to return. I will add the personnel was friendly.

Great service! Sweet lady in the front answered all of my questions. I was very happy with the service that I received. The lady even told me about some of themoney-saving offers so I will probably be back be back to buy some of their sauces for my Thanksgiving barbecue

Recommend getting the sampler platter. Oh and don’t forget to get the Mac-n-cheese, it’s awesome! Friendly staff that walked me through the whole menu. I will be eating here next time I head to Fort Jackson!

It was my first experience with South Carolina BBQ and to be honest it is truly different from any BBQ i have had. It is a mustard based sauce. Some may like it but it does not tempt my taste buds. Three stars because I have nothing against the place it’s just not my type of bbq.

Stopped nearby to refill the gas tank on our road trip and decided, hey, let’s try some BBQ instead of our usual Micky Ds… I have never had Carolina mustard style BBQ. It’s strange. It’s definitely mustard. Not quite as vinegary… Didn’t really finish the meal as everything here was quite greasy. The staff: the lady taking our order was super nice. She was a bit slow, and had trouble ringing up our order… Kept repeating everything. She knew we weren’t from town, so wasn’t happy that she didn’t tell me that hush puppies came with a couple of our orders… I ordered a side of it too. The food: not sure how it got some good reviews. Very very greasy. The brisket sandwich was pretty much all gristle and nothing to it but the buns. The coleslaw was too vinegary for me. Beans… Sickly yellow looking that had a strange slimy texture. When I spooned it up, the sauce the beans were in would string along… Hard to explain. The color alone made my stomach turn. Hash and rice. Literally looked like Apple sauce texture of lard on top of the rice. What is it with this sickly yellow color? This one was more yellow/olive green. The hush puppies were pretty good tho. But… It’s deep fried. Slightly sweet corn taste. We did order their fresh banana cream pudding. After removing the 3 cups of whipped cream on top!!! The pudding tasted like vanilla… Nothing fancy… When you finally hit the bottom, you get the slices of fresh banana and some more Nilla wafers… That was the best part. Overall… I would never go again. Piggie park! I should have known just by the name alone. Couldn’t eat anything for the rest of the day and skipped dinner due to indigestion.

I you are looking for real bbq, this is not your place. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. For a very quick bite, it will work but don’t go looking for serious bbq.

I consider myself from the South. Albeit Virginia is not super south, but this is Southern food I’m not used to. Mustard BBQ, rice topped with hash, I think it was… different, interesting, but good. I feel like when I hear about«stick to your ribs» food, my meal would have been the picture to that saying. I’m not sure that I would make a second visit, but I’m glad we stopped there during our travels to taste something new and different.

This was my first time having m ustard based bbQ. I was skeptical at first but i really enjoyed the sauce. The meat was tender and meaty not alot of fat. I really enjoyed my meal.

From out of state, staying in near by hotel decided to eat dinner here. Service was fair and the food was hot which I appreciated. There was really no wow factor with the food, it wasnt terrible but again it was nothing special. I had the chicken melt sandwich which was smothered by thier special bbq sauce which is mustard based. I did not think the sauce was that pleasing.

Disintersted staff, overpriced food, and mediocre BBQ. I was excited to have«real» Carolina BBQ, in Carolina. I was disappointed. Bland, dry brisket without even a hint of smoke flavor was the highlight of my family’s meal. The Southern Gold sauce was really good!

Solidly 3-stars. The ladies working there are super friendly and gracious for a fast food joint, but the food was just OK. They have a number of different home-made sauces, the best of which was the spicy yellow one. The hush puppies were good, but everything else was just OK.

BBQ may be good, but the staff on this visit were about as unmotivated as they come.

Really good fast food. We are from the north, so the yellow bbq sauce threw us off. But the amount of meat and flavor made us think otherwise. We liked the bbq pork sandwich we got. Wish we had these around us.

If you are looking for a hickory smoke smell when you walk in the door and the feeling like you are not at McDonald’s, I would suggest not coming here. The BBQ is avg and is find in a pinch. There isn’t much open on a Monday in terms of BBQ between Florence and Spartanburg so this was the best I could do. I won’t become a regular here, there is better BBQ in the world than this. With that said the kid who took my order was really nice, polite and helpful. He didn’t know the answers to some of my questions and worked to find out the answer.

Of all the Maurice’s BBQ, this one is the best. I’ve been to most of them in Columbia(if not all) and have to say this one was the most friendliest of them all let alone the food was delicious.

I am a North Carolina bar-b-q snob and I love the vinegar based bar-b-q and the red sauced slaw. Stopped here on the way back from the beach just outside of Columbia, SC and ate. The best thing about the food was the«hash» over rice and the habenero hot sauce. Their bar-b-q was a «mustard» base and it was ok — meat was good, but the sauce took away from the meat — where the vinegar based enhances the meat flavor. Oh — I had my first full calorie, high test soda in over a year — a 32oz Mello Yello ! Holly Cow, that jacked me up. NC Vinegar bar-b-q: #1 Texas bar-b-q: #2 My own Boston Butt: #3 Maurice’s: #4 Been here, done that, probably will not go back — too many other places to try. Oh — I got the«Little Pig» size plate and it was huge — had to take some home and I did eat it for lunch the next day :)

Still the best fast food style barbecue I have ever had. The mustard sauce is a national treasure. I could eat Big Joe all day. Hmm let me rephrase that. I could put a Big Joe in my mouth and enjoy the yellow sauce running down my throat at least twice a day. Okay I think the first one was better. Seriously, we need some mustard barbecue in Georgia. Sonny has taken quite a hit lately around here and would do well to get some mustard in there to give his pork a much needed new lube. I still wish it was not owned by a complete tool, but it is better than shopping at Citco at least.
