Enjoyed breakfast here Saturday. I had a BLT and fried potatoes. I could only eat half. The homemade bread was great, just like my Grandma Mary use to make. Loved everything about it!

Absolutely delicious homemade food(especially the angel biscuits & bread) & we love the desserts… they had the best cinnamon rolls we ever tasted. We loved the cozy atmosphere. Marcy & her staff were amazing, made us feel like family. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and it’s worth the trip wherever you’re coming from. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was great and the location was so neat. The little house is old with lots of quirks and charm. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially if you’re from the south on your way up to Nashville. My only complaint was the oldness made it feel a little unsanitary, but it was still clean enough and worth it.

Great lunch and Deserts but breakfast not so much. I got a take out. Bacon was tough and biscuits were too done. Disappointed. Pecan pie as good as I ever eaten but not cheap.

Wow! Cinnamon Rolls are delish! Biscuits and gravy, home fries, sausage was a great breakfast. The building is old and quirky filled with antiques. Just like home cooking with a friendly staff. I recommend this place breakfast.

Cute, comfortable and enjoyable place to eat. The cinnamon roll was delicious, biscuits freshly made and incredible gravy. Highly recommend stopping here for their breakfast and they have lunch specials as well.

A tiny little country house that has been turned into just what the name says… a MEALHOUSE. Even though they were slammed, service was wonderful. We missed getting to see Marcy Jo, Joey and Rory and hey, I reckon they missed getting to see us too! I saw lots of good country cooking. I also saw a chicken salad sandwich go by that I wished I had ordered. Get there early or you’ll wait on the porch, which is not exactly a bad thing. Daily plate lunch specials are offered until they run out. I think though that the main thing they serve at Marcy Jo’s … is love.

What can you say about a restaurant that the staff is friendly and helpful, The owner is gracious and loving. The visit was everything we had hoped for as our son’s birthday wish to visit MarcyJo’s. We feel blessed to have enjoyed«every bite». Thanks to the entire MarcyJo Crew, you made our visit a blessing to Will and us as a family.

Ok, this is a place you have to experience and it is just that, as well… an experience. A quaint little country house turned into a fun, old time stop just south of Franklin near Columbia. Saturday mornings, the special is stuffed French toast. Cream Cheese and marshmallow stuffing with fruit. Definitely for a sweet tooth. I went for the overall breakfast with biscuit, gravy, eggs, cheese and sausage altogether in a happy breakfast platter. Worth the drive and visit. You won’t need lunch after breakfast here. Note: cash only!

This place is a diamond in the rough. Staying at hotel nearby. Decided to give Marcy Jo’s meal house a try. It is quaint and the décor is rustic. Reminds me of visiting grandmas cottage. The food was AWSOME. Had the breakfast special 2 eggs bacon and ½ order of sausage gravy. My only complaint there was no extra biscuit to sop/clean up the plate. I wish the gravy was hotter, I was in to much of a hurry to complain. Opi, i believe that is her name, she was my server she was tall and wore cowboy boots with a pair of shorts. She was polite, quick Kept my coffee filled. Great job

Marcy Jo’s A whole lot of nostalgia for me, filled with fond memories and memorable food… just like Grandma’s. No, that’s not just a figure of speech. You see, my Grandma B. owned a rustic country store and sandwich/lunch shop in the 1950s and I grew up there with the same kinds of things you can enjoy today at Marcy Jo’s. What’s «in store»? Outside: Small parking lot… not a problem. Clapboard siding… yep, Grandma B. had it too. Benches on the front porch… you bet. Rusty tin roof… covered just enough to keep most of the rain out… most of the time. Inside: Tables and chairs… well, Gram had a few, all mismatched — eclectic, yep, that’s the style. Same thing for Marcy Jo’s. Sloping floor so that the chairs tilt and sit a little crooked… sure, why not? Fancy food? Nope. Down to Earth good home cookin’ — ABSOLUTELY.(No I’m not shouting… I’m just excited.) Order Up: Stuffed French Toast, topped with blueberries or strawberries… all day long; all day goodness. Biscuits and Gravy(and eggs and bacon)…simply the best.(I’ve never seen my wife«clean her plate» before our visit to Marcy Jo’s…It’s «that» good!) Sandwich and side… similar to Grandma’s — piled high with flavor. Mmmm that chicken salad. Grandma didn’t serve hamburgers, but she made a masterful meatloaf… just like Marcy Jo’s.(My mouth is watering just remembering them both.) Served with garlic mash ‘taters or ‘tater salad. Fall off the edge of the bun ’cause it’s so big Fish Sandwich… seasoned nicely and beautifully crisp.( Check out the special dry-erase«Specials Board». Want something you don’t see on the menu? Sorry. What you see is what they got — and it’s all good. Comfortable, casual, and filled with antique charm — off the beaten path. Sounds like good memories and good eats. Gram…hope to see you in Heaven… I’m just gonna sit here a while longer and sip a little more lemonade.

The husband and I enjoy taking morning country drives to little cafes for breakfast. Last week, we stumbled upon Marcy Jo’s and it was quite a treat. The waitress told us that all of the baked goods are made from scratch so I couldn’t resist having a sticky bun to start. It was really soft and gooey and just overall very tasty. Since I’d already fallen off my normal low carb breakfasts wagon by having the sticky bun, I decided to go for the gold and order the French toast plate. The two pieces of bread were thick and seemed freshly baked. The French toast came with eggs and bacon. I cleaned my plate. Enough said! The coffee was the perfect strength, the waitresses were laid back, very attentive and friendly and the café is really adorable inside.

The June Burger is really good and so are the Fried Green tomatoes! I haven’t found any fried green tomatoes at restaurants that are that good. These passed my test!

We got to visit this place when we were in Columbia visiting family. As a california girl places like this are a rare treat! My grampa took my fiancé and I here for breakfast and oh man! This place is great! I had this dish with biscuits, sausage, scrambled eggs, gravy and cheese. Soooo good! The coffee was good, the service was friendly and the décor is unique and super cool! We will be back for dinner next time were in town! Unless you guys want to open a location in San Diego!

My husband and I had been on the hunt for a «hole in the wall» place with some good country cooking for quite some time. Marcy Jo’s fit the bill! We’ve only been twice but both are worth bragging about in my book — the food was freshly cooked with generous helpings.(We had eggs and pancakes for our breakfast trip and catfish and BBQ ribs when we went for Friday dinner.) The waitresses were down to Earth and super sweet. The gift shop above upstairs is adorable. The hours are somewhat limited, but I think that helps add to the charm of the place. The place does fill up quick but it is well worth the trip!

Definitely worth a drive through some beautiful TN countryside to visit Marcy Jo’s for lunch. Wednesday is fried chicken day — lightly fried and incredibly moist. Get there early or the bird may be gone. The restaurant has character out the wazoo. Our waitress(Marcy?) was kind and welcoming, even letting us sample the Elvis cake(think crushed pineapple and buttercream) when we didn’t have room for the full(brick-sized) piece. What could make this place even better? Maybe a couple more choices on side dishes.

I have been here several times. The food and staff are fantastic. On Saturdays they have stuffed french toast as well as some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had. They also have songwriters and singers on the weekend. Lots of fun.

Quaint country restaurant in a old general store. Decorated with vintage tables, chairs and wall art. Lots of nick nacks for sale. We went there with family visiting from out of town, on a weekend and had breakfast. Seating is limited and it took a while to get a seat. Everything we had was good, not great: stuffed French toast, western omelette, biscuits and gravy. Service was good and attentive. Will take visitors there when we have company, but unlikely to go all the way back down there from Franklin just to eat.
