Joe Short – State Farm Insurance Agent

I would like to start by saying I have only ever used Sate Farm for my auto and rental insurance needs, and up until this experience I have been COMPLETELY satisfied. I recently moved to Maryland from another state, and was disappointed to hear that I would no longer be able to keep the same State Farm agent, due to this move. I was sent a list of agents close to me in order to switch everything over. My first call was pleasant I spoke with Joan, who took all of my information and said that she would call me back with a quote and we could go from there. When she called me back the next day, she seemed very nervous and her tone was unsettling, like she was about to deliver some bad news, or news I wouldn’t like. She rattled off some questions to which I answered, and then she finally told me what my quote was. The quote was not astronomical but it was significantly more than what I was paying in my prior state, but Maryland is a more expensive state then where I moved from so I kind of expected it. Joan then asked me if I wanted to «look around»… LOOK AROUND FOR WHAT? I then explained to her that I was concerned about our conversation and the way she was presenting my information, could I speak with another rep, she then said that I could talk to Joe, but he would be in later. Joe did call me, but during our conversation i had to tell him THREE different times, that I ALREADY MOVED TO MARYLAND. He was completely unprepared for our conversation, and it made me feel like this agent has NO CLUE what is going on. I decided to go with a different location.
I would NOT recommend this location to ANYONE!!!
