Excellent! I love the whole experience. This place really surprised me. Very spacious! I wasn’t expecting the place to be as nice as it is! The service is top notch. The woman who took our order was very helpful. She brought out 2 samples of soup for my friend. The tomato basil and broccoli and cheese. Both were good but the broccoli and cheese was slammin! I ordered the chicken alfredo with a salad. My friend ordered the California club, broccoli and cheese soup, and a side salad. The food was well prepared and taste great. It wasn’t overly seasoned but flavorful. The menu has a wide variety of selections to choose from. We will have to check this place out again and again. The wait staff is very very friendly and helpful without overdoing their job. You know like being aggravating or disturbing while you’re eating. We tipped both of them well and from their reaction they wasn’t expecting it. That leaves me to believe that people don’t tip them on a regular basis. I can somewhat understand because of how the place is setup. It’s not like they are your personal waiters. They take care of everyone. And they did it well. With that being said please leave them a tip. They do a great job. In the back for the restaurant they have a Gamecock room. It’s a nice relaxing setup. Couches and a wall bar for you to eat at. The only thing that would make this room look better is if it was in ORANGE! Yes I’m a Clemson fan. Lol

I needed a place for a meeting the day I was looking. Librarians at Richland recommend Jason’s Deli. We called and got the large, back room. Wonderful service upon arrival. The food was not expensive but very good. The lobster chowder was excellent. Waiters brought our choices to the room and made sure we had everything we needed. The manager was especially nice. The free soft-serve ice cream was just the thing to end the meeting. Will definitely return.

Good and clean… but the most important is the temperature of the dining room… not freezing like most places… very comfortable…

Jason’s deli is a good place to grab a lunch down town… Good sandwiches, outstanding salad bar, and free soft serve! Ruben, Cuben, and French dip(they have a special name for it) are my faves. Bigger price tag than most corporate sandwich places, but the salad bar is seriously on point!

Very nice clean restaurant adjacent to the Hyatt Place & across from Hampton Inn, so you have a nice short walk to this eatery. Salad bar, sandwiches, soups and more… everyone can fine something to satisfy their palate! Will definitely return

We come here for the salad bar which is always good. Tonight my husband got the salad bar and I got the half pot roast sandwich and soup combo which surprisingly came out fairly quickly since the last time we came and I got the sandwich soup combo I had to go back to the counter and ask about my food when it hadn’t come out after 20 minutes. That time they had forgotten about my order and brought it out several minutes later. This time I got my food and went to eat. My short sleeve brushed against the wall I was sitting by and the moulding under the window was broken and tore my Under Armor sweatshirt. I went to bring it to the attention of the manager who didn’t have a name tag but was tall, skinny, had curly hair and glasses. He wanted to see the broken moulding so he came to our table and said«oh». He said they were about to have a facility audit and needed to know what would be looked at. We then asked what about my shirt and he said oh well, sorry. With all the other options for eating out in Columbia, it seems they would have been nicer about the fact that their broken facility had damaged my shirt. If it had been warned and I did not have on a sweatshirt then it would have drawn blood on my arm. Whatever you do if you sit at the second table by the window, Be Careful, unless they fix it before the auditors come. We also had an issue paying for the food. The cashier took our credit card and tried to swipe it. He said he got an error indicating our card was not valid. We paid cash and after leaving the restaurant called the credit card company to ask about the problem. The credit company said we did not have any problems on our card and that the swipes were not even showing up on their side. Glad we had cash!

Best new restaurant I’ve found in years in Columbia. Great for lunch. Healthy and super fresh ingredients.

Just ordered from this place. Orders online takes forever to be delivered. When the food finally came, we saw the smallest half sandwiches ever! 3 – 4 bites worth? Sandwiches are very dry. Deli meat in chili, also a first time: looks like leftover from sandwiches. The price is good but I’d say if your sandwiches are too tiny like a kids’ meal, better not offer a half on the menu.

Five stars, not some fancy smancy place you go to once in a lifetime, but a solid place to get great food any day of the week. I ordered the corned beef sandwich and it was made quickly and with generous portions. The inside is casual and efficient. The sandwich was prepared with fresh ingredients and tasted great! Topped with free ice cream… you cannot go wrong, especially with the kiddos.

When you find something you like here it is 5 stars all the way. For example, the chicken pot pie soup was out of this world. All of their club sandwiches are really good. I went out on a limb and tried the Johnny cashew, big mistake. It tasted like a stoner got the munchies and threw this sandwich together. Hot pepper jelly, pickled onions, cashew peanut butter, and ham. Big miss for me. They have a small banquet room in the back which is nice for big groups. The only reason for four stars and not five, is the atmosphere and the few rare Misses on their deli sandwiches. The atmosphere feels like a cafeteria and the salad bar makes it feel more like an all you can eat place rather than a specialty deli. One nice bonus is free ice cream

Best salad bar in town. If you want the salad remember to use the express check out register at the front and avoid the regular order line. Also, you get all of the soft serve ice cream you can stuff in your belly, so if you are in downtown Columbia, check it out and you can count that as your semi-heathy meal of the day.

Jason’s Deli is great spot to grab lunch. Great selection and variety. All of the staff seem to love to work there, so they’re always pleasant. One of their managers(tall, wavy hair, glasses) is really upbeat, friendly and makes you feel welcome. Overall, it’s quality, delicious food that is quick and in a great environment. Plus, FREE soft serve ice cream. Can’t beat that.

Fast, quick, and easy. I’ve never actually been to a Jason’s Deli before, but stopped in this one for a quick lunch on Black Friday. It’s super convenient if you are walking around the Vista and just want a simple sandwich or salad for lunch. The inside is a little overcrowded with tables, but it was very clean and the staff were friendly. I had a Turkey Cranwich(yep, not Thanksgiving’ed out yet), and it was tasty and filling. The bread was a lot better than some chain delis, which was unexpected and very welcome. For three people, a sizeable lunch was about $ 24, so decent on pricing, too. I probably wouldn’t have tried it without my friend’s suggestion, but I’m glad I did. I’ll go back!

Probably one of the best selections of sandwiches and soups in town! They also have a salad bar, which I’ve never tried, but looks pretty good, and complimentary soft serve ice cream. YUM! The staff and management are super friendly. This is the type of place where you can place your order to go at a kiosk, or place your order at the register, grab a number and sit down, and have your food brought to you. They have free wifi, spacious seating, and even a private room in the back for study groups or meetings.

They have a nice selection of sandwiches, but the execution of them is poor. The food did not taste fresh and had very little flavor. Order: Santa fe chicken sandwich Hot pastrami sandwich

I worked for a Jason’s deli in Charleston for almost 3 years and I am incredibly disappointed in this one. While at school I ate there several times and was never pleased with what I got, despite the time of day or how busy they were. I’ve gotten it all there, a watered down Pasta Primo Sauce(which, in the time I’ve worked there I’ve us to be low on a sauce and to add a little cream and water to make it last a little longer, but the sauce I was served was actually separating from all the water they added!) When I approached the manager I asked him if they had changed the menu any, and he denied that and claimed that the sauce was always that thin. Yeah, right. I was also so blessed with a BYO sandwich with so much mayonnaise that every bite I took the stuff gushed out all over my plate. What a waste of product. My final, and I mean final EVER trip there was a cool day in April of this year, where my boyfriend and I went for soup. I got a large portion of Chicken Chili, which was cold to the point that the beans in it weren’t melt in your mouth like the chili should be served, but rather my soup became a full on meal where I had to chew down every bite like I had ordered a sandwich. What a disappointment.

Jason’s Deli is a great place to grab a sandwich or salad. The service is always great when I go, usually after 8PM. I always the Club Royale which is amazing. They put about double the amount of meat on their half sandwich than Subway does on an entire footlong. The salad bar is also one of my favorites. Everytime I go it is always stocked with fresh vegetables and other toppings for you salad. Did I also mention that the service her is outstanding! Everytime I go I am greeted by them, and they always make sure that they get my order correct. Also, you get free ice cream that is delicious.

This is the worst run place I’ve been to in a long time. I’ve been to 31 states in the past 3 months and this is the worst restaurant I’ve been to so far. Ten people making sandwiches, one person delivering food, and one person working the register. We waited 15 minutes to place our order. Once we sat down, our sandwiches were made within 10 minutes. Instead of bringing them out to us, our sandwiches sat at the end of the assembly line for an additional 20 minutes while I watched them make 10 other sandwiches over my food. Finally, I walked over and asked them to hand them to me rather than wait any longer. When I sat down again, I realized that there was no bacon on my California Club, which is one of the most frequently made sandwiches. If I wanted to spend an hour getting lunch, I would have gone to a nice sit-down place instead of wasting my time to get a sub-standard sandwich. I will never come back here and I would advise anyone against coming here.
