History

Established in 1963.

Gorman Distributors is a family owned and operated business that has been in the heart of Lancaster City since 1963. The original owner Benjamin F. Gorman started in the Laundromat business in 1960. He realized there was a need for readily accessible coin-​vend products and decided to venture into wholesaling these laundry products with his nephew Damian Gorman.

Shortly after he started wholesaling laundry soap he came across a glass front candy machine to place in his laundry so that his customers could enjoy a snack while doing their laundry. This machine was a big success and he decided to add vending machines and candy products to his already growing soap business. Now Gorman Distributors wholesales and vends almost 1,300 different products.

Business Owner

Damian has been helping at Gorman Distributors since the beginning. Initially starting with making deliveries after school. Hired full time after high school, Damian purchased the company from Ben in 2004. He currently continues doing what he loves, making deliveries and giving his customers excellent service, some have been with Gorman’s for three generations.
