Frisco Taphouse & Brewery

Some breweries are so focused on the beer that they miss out on doing the restaurant properly. Frisco gets the restaurant part right with a good menu of pub grub, salads and proper meals, along with a long list of tap and bottle beers.
I stuck with the Push beers that are brewed right here, having two with my delicious appetizer and entrée. Good beer and very tasty.
For starters, I went with the spicy mango jerk wings. Eight very meaty wings with a clingy but not wet sauce that wasn’t drippy and wasn’t a «soup» for the wings. Very tasty, just a little bit of «go» to it. Yum!
I wasn’t done though. The pear and blue cheese pizza was also tasty and a big portion. Nice sweet pear slices mixed well with the tangy blue cheese. And of course, what goes better with beer than pizza?
Good stuff. They could use more parking is all.

Beer selection looks promising — that’s why I gave one star for marketing. The rest was a total disappointment. First beer arrived completely flat and warm. I asked to change it, the next one was almost the same luke warm temparature. Seared ahi was horribly overcooked and dry; polenta was all over the plate and a suspicious liquid of a grey color was around it tasted like it was cooked a night before and heated up in a microwave. A smelly salsa of a questionable quality. French fries were scary looking. Onion rings soggy inside and over fried horribly, tasted bitter.
Stay away even if you want that beer.

We are in from out of town, and this restaurant was close to our hotel. The food was so delicious, that if it was socially acceptable to pick up the plate and lick it, I would have. We got Queso Chorizo, steak nachos, and bacon jammin’ sliders. And the HUGE selection of beers on tap was quite impressive, also. We highly recommend this place.

I came here with some friends on a friday night. The parking spaces are extremely limited so arrive as early as you can. The food was so so and pretty pricy but they have an extremely extensive beer list. Fyi-​The tv’s here are small and not a good spot for football.

Came here for dinner and drinks one evening. The beer is great, the food… not so much. everything just seemed dry with no flavor. Our waitress got my friends to-​go boxes, but then took a half hour to get us our checks. she kept walking by, and we kept calling, but she just wouldn’t stop! Eventually had to get another employees attention.

Our two previous experiences were considered a four. The food was good, and the service was good. We went the other day and the waitress was not very friendly. The food, not very good for what it was. Greek salad was just a salad mix with feta on it. The pizza was nothing special, and the pulled pork sandwich was, not very special.
The most glaring issue was just the unfriendly waitress. What is it that restaurants in this area just have the worst service? Does anyone care anymore?

We just stopped in this evening with our 2 kids. We were surprised and pleased to be seated right away since we came in at the peak time on a Friday night! Our server was super friendly and explained the extensive beer menu to us, and my husband ordered one of the housemade porter ales. It was delicious!
Our server recommended the wings– I HIGHLY recommend them! They are baked, fried, grilled, and tossed in a very well-​flavored sauce, served with fresh carrot slices and bleu cheese. They aren’t generic wings at all– very good and if you like wings, you should try them. Kids ordered a quesadilla with fries, and a build-​your-​own pizza. Since they serve pizzas here, it might be nice if they would include a smaller, kid-​sized cheese pizza on the kids menu. My older son is a pizza-​addict though, so he didn’t mind the 12-​inch pizza to himself!
My husband really enjoyed the beet salad with steak and I ordered the smoked pork and pineapple pizza, but I was so happy with the wings that we ended up taking most of the pizza home with us. I thought the prices were great, and the service excellent. We’ll be back again!

For someone who loves craft brews, this is the obvious place to go in town. They have a TV just for their beers on tap to chose from. Was a little disappointed they were out of a few beers that were on the TV but understandable.
They had tons of TVs to watch the sports games both directly at the bar and further back.
We didn’t try any of the food selections but it certainly looked good. We will be trying it once we’re back in the area!

was great! Lots of different beers to choose from including local and brewed in house. The menu offers a little bit of everything. I got the Cuban sandwich with beer battered onion rings. They were super tasty.

I came here on a date based on the suggestion from a friend that this was a great local place. My date drove up from Gaithersburg and easily found a parking spot; I was not as lucky and had to drive around a few times– definitely get there early on any popular night (we went on a Wednesday at 8).
I have to say, this place was hyped up by my friend. So when I came here and I was told by our server «Oh we dont have that» (I asked for Heavy Seas, Flying Dog, and something else), I was disappointed. Some were on the menu but they were just out of them, others, they said they never carried– BUT their Crofton location did. And after looking up that menu, it is apparent that they are the better of the two locations, from the beer menu standpoint. The house beer was okay.
We ended up trying some that our server recommended and they were decent. We both had salads and enjoyed them (they are salads afterall, pretty hard to mess up). I think this place would be good for a drunken Sunday Night Football experience, but definitely not a date or a gathering with friends. Unless you get a seat with a direct fishtank view– then it’s worth coming back to.

Okay… I’m a fan!
This place is tucked away and out of the way but worth the hunt. This place boasts a tap worthy of west coast praise. The house beer is tasty and creative and if I didn’t have to go to work later I’d spend the rest of the day here.
The food was, in one word, amazing! The Frisco hot pastrami was put together well and super tasty. Ordered a custom pizza which blows away any of the pizzas I’ve tried elsewhere. Will definitely be back for the food and the drinks, and the people watching!

My husband and I decided to do a last minute date night and most places were completely packed so we settled on trying someplace new. I cannot say that I was impressed. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband a beer, while he loved his beer and my wine was good, they gave me the tiniest glass of all time for a hefty price.
Next we ordered the crab dip appetizer, now this is my ONLY reason for 2 stars. That dip was amazing and I would highly recommend it, it would also be the only reason I would come back. My husband got a burger in which he thought was alright, and I got the tuna salad. Now sushi and tuna are one of my favorite foods and I will usually eat it in anything, this tuna tasted weird and had a shinyness to it that we found very strange. I didn’t finish my salad and was thankful we got an appetizer.
The service wasn’t that great and I was really disappointed by the atmosphere. It was jut a bunch of tables lined up in a very brightly lit room. It would be good for football sundays when all the sports bars are filled up around the area. All in all, we wont be going back, even as a last resort. We really wanted to like this place since it was so close to home. :/

Great vibes, good food, and tons of beer!
This was my first time at Frisco and I hope it won’t be my last! The interior is spacious and clean; even though it was packed and buzzing with energy, it never felt too crowded or overwhelming.
Our server was absolutely amazing. I wish I remembered her name! The beers on tap are constantly rotating in and out which is why they don’t have a printed menu to look at – but no worries — our server knew the beer selection inside and out. if there was a beer unavailable she gave us excellent recommendations that included a taste-​testing sample. She was attentive and welcoming the whole night despite being busy with multiple tables and parties.
We ordered the Mahi tacos, mussels, and wings as appetizers to share and I ordered the Jambalaya as an entrée.
–Mahi tacos: Nothing spectacular and there were only two medium-​sized tacos that came with the meal. I probably wouldn’t get these again.
–Mussels: Spectacular! These mussels are steamed with garlic butter and minced chorizo which added a delicious flair to the already flavorful mussels. There are chunks of creamy goat cheese dispersed throughout the mussels that compliment the meal very well. The whole dish is topped with three pieces of lovely and crusty french bread. I suggest you save some of the bread and use it to soak up all the yummy juice that’s left behind after the eating the mussels. This dish is so good that you’ll definitely want to savor every single part of it!
–Wings: Sweet and crisp on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. Everything you could want from wings!
–Jambalaya: While this dish had its merits, it was wayyyy too salty for my taste. However, the portion size was huge, the rice was cooked well, and it was chock-​full of chicken, chorizo, shrimp, and crawfish! They definitely don’t skimp on the protein. If it wasn’t so salty I would order this dish again, but I couldn’t even finish half of my meal because of the staggering amount of sodium.
All in all, this was a fantastic place to get a boozy dinner with friends! I will definitely be back.

Get the spicy steak sammich! Not actually spicy, delicious steak sandwich with goat cheese and avocado/​lettuce. My favorite sandwich there. The salads are good too. Great if you’re looking to grab a bite and a beer. The beer manager, Steven is really helpful when choosing! Big, clean environment. The bigger half of the restaurant is more of the bar scene, other side little more quieter to enjoy dinner :)

This is the first experience I have ever had where they encourage you to go online to check out the beer list. They didn’t have a list in a menu so that was bizarre.

Love beer? Then you’ll love this place, especially on beer night. Went on Tuesday (for beer night) and if you order a sponsored beer, you get a free pint glass. Apparently, the sponsors change every week but this week was Dogfish.
Love strong beer? Dogfish have a couple that are 18%. Wowza! One of those, and I’m good haha. Now, that’s my kinda style. Drink less but get more drunk! Next time, I’m having someone else drive lol.
They have a big list of beers on the wall and it can be quite overwhelming. Our server was pleasant in asking what we liked and made some suggestions. The ones in green are the sponsored ones (on beer night).
We got the hummus with harissa and pita. It was pretty good but you need more pita. So, we ordered more on the side. We also tried the fried green tomato sliders. They were also pretty good.
Service was good. We had a very large table and our guy was working hard and sweating his butt off! Props.
A group of friends always go on Tuesdays and now I see why. Think I’ll be joining them more often now, even if it’s a lil bit of drive AND I have to get on the always backed up highway 3…

I love a good craft beer and the selection here will not disappoint. With a plethora of options to pick from, if you are unsure they will let you sample before you commit to ordering. The atmosphere here is also very welcoming and I love how there aren’t individual table in the main room. Get to know your neighbors!
Next time I come back (because there will be a next time) I have to try the food. Every time food was brought out from the back, it smelled amazing! Will come hungry next time.

I’m not really a beer guy and not really a bar guy, but after I’ve finished an afternoon of diving with the shop next door, I like to cool my heels at Frisco Taphouse and Brewery while I’m filling out paperwork.
They have a pretty extensive selection of beers, but I’m a wheat beer guy. I always find something to satisfy. Some of my buddies are stout guys and they are always happy as well.
They have a nice selection of pub foods, and I’ve even taken the fam there for dinner on a slow Friday night. Their burgers are great, and they actually have several different salads that keep me pretty happy.
But who am I kidding. Their claim to fame… the nosh that makes the whole trip worthwhile is their Holy Trinity. That is Salsa, Chorizo Queso, and their Freshly Made Guacamole. Yeah, I capitalized all that on purpose! Why? Because it deserves capital letters!
Forget everything else. Run, don’t walk to Friscos and try the Holy Trinity!
If you’ve still got room grab a burger and a beer too.

Googled best taphouse by the airport & Frisco Taphouse popped up! Read the reviews & here I am! And it’s happy hour! Ordered a Push Reckless Ascension IPA, brewed on the premises, was just freshly tapped! I am an IPA fan & this knew is wonderfully delish! 50+taps!

We have been here twice now but this is my first review.
The first time we came, we started off with the queso and I had the corn dogs. I must say I was not too impressed with them. They just did not hit the spot.
Hubby had the gumbo and of course he ordered it again. It is not Louisiana gumbo but it is very tasty. Today I had the queso twice today. It is just so good!
We also had a great bar tender who let me sample a few beers before I settled on one that I like. I was looking for this beer that had a blueberry taste to it but she informed me that the beer is always changing and so I was like ohhhhh. However, I settled on this Hawaiian beer and it was light and for summer.
Our food came rather fast and we will certainly be going back especially with football season coming up.
