Bandana’s is good. It’s not great, but it’s good. I’ve been several times and meat is hit or miss, more often hit. My favorite is the barbecued chicken. Sides are tasty and lots of choices. Fried corn is a favorite of mine. Service is friendly and prompt. Desserts are also good, especially the donut holes.

staff nice. that’s the best part. all food near room temp. chopped pork dry, but wife liked. salad was iceberg only. ribs were old and dry/tuff. And NO $ 22 meal should include old fries from the warming pan. because menu seemed to be mostly variations of chopped pork/beef(no pork steaks, burnt ends, etc) I asked her what she recommended, she replied «I recommend, probably the beef or pork». Hmm??? That can only mean dont order chicken. Not seeing it on menu, I asked if they had burnt ends, she said«for those that ask». ok, I’ll play… May I have a ½ rack rib dinner and a side order of burnt ends.?“ Dinners came, no burnt ends, wife’s salad missing. waitress not coming back to check on us, chased another down. asked for missing items…3rd waitress brought another ½ rack ribs. I said no thanks, ordered burnt ends. she gave weird look, walked away. original waitress came back and asked if I changed my mind. said no, I ordered burnt ends brisket. she said«well these ribs are off the end» therefore done more”/quasi burnt? I tried to explain to this 2 year veteran employee what burnt ends were, she replies«oh, you want beef». no, nevermind. cancel. she was plenty nice, but the best part of this expensive meal was the toast. I won’t be back. Another cookie cutter franchise ran poorly by dizzy kids with no quality standard.

OKBBQ for an ok price. Brisket was dry and low on flavor, cut into small cubes(I’m more of a fan of cross grain sliced brisket). Pulled pork was moist, less fatty(good) than some places, but also low on flavor. Fortunately the great sauce selection made up for the dryness(to a point), including a great sweet sauce. Now, the RIBS in contrast, were FANTASTIC with great flavor — wish I had gotten more than just the«add a rib» for $ 2. Lastly, the garlic bread was fairly tasty. Caters well for kids with coloring sheets and wide selection of choices. Hotdog for my son, brisket for my daughter.

Terrific place right off of I-70. I was there around 7:00 on a Monday night, and was able to be seated immediately. They evidently have a real pit or smoker on site; you can smell the hickory smoke as you get near the place. They seem to know their BBQ — they even have a mustard sauce which was very reminiscent of South Carolina BBQ, plus lots of different tomato based sauces that you can choose from(the sauces are right on the table.) I had the pork and beef dinner, which was excellent. The beef wasn’t as tender as the pork(which was melt in your mouth tender) but very flavorful. The dinner comes with two sides and garlic toast. The portions are large, but not ridiculous. The service was very good.

Great beef bbq. Really fine choice of sauces, excellent cole slaw. Green beans were flavorful and perfectly cooked. We ordered lunch platters and got more than we could eat. Our server was very informative and efficient. Next time we are in Columbia, MO, we will be back.

We went to Bandana’s on a whim and was quite surprised. I like how their ribs aren’t too fatty as other BBQ joints here in COMO. We’ve only had their ribs and appreciate seeing the smoke ring effect. The boyfriend LOVES their baked beans and I have a love of the garlic bread for some reason. They have plenty of bbq sauces to choose from. My favorite go to ones are the KC Style and the sweet one which I currently forgot the name of at the moment. A must try, if you haven’t.

Greeted very quickly and staff was super friendly. Tried the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans. Size of the portions were right on for the value. Taste was enjoyable as the meat was smoked well, no complaints. A few different sauces to choose from and I decided on the sweet and saucy. An excellent choice it was. Nothing blew my mind away but overall it was a pretty good barbecue joint.

Wanted BBQ for lunch and this place was across the street from our hotel. I did not realize that they were a local chain. Four of us went in for lunch and all loved our meals. We all had the two meat combo and enjoyed everything that was on our plates. The service was great and teh choices of bbq sauces were awesome!

Good eats! I must be on a BBQ kick but this one is the best so far. Had the ribs and links combo and loved it! Steer clever from the coleslaw it is pretty bland. Idk y it’s not on the table but the Carolina heat BBQ sauce is the only one that tastes good to me.

Best BBQ we have had in COMO! Even the corn was good! Enjoyed the ribs smoked sausage and turkey! Don’t miss the BBQ beans and try all the sauces to get the best experience! Donut holes rock— like a warm funnel cake! Well definitely make this a regular stop!

Wow, another mediocre Missouri BBQ experience. Is it me? We headed over to Bandana’s for lunch on a blistering hot Sunday afternoon, and found the place crowded, but not too bad. We were seated promptly and our server came over within a few minutes to get our drink order. For lunch, I had a beef platter, my wife had the same, and my 4 year old had a beef sandwich. My beef was ok, with the requisite signs of smoked meat(red color, burnt tips) but fairly dry. My daughter’s was the same, but my wife’s beef looked like it came from a different cut of meat entirely. It was uniformly grey, with no sign/taste of smoking whatsoever. My wife was willing to let it go, but at $ 10.99 for a small portion of meat, I asked the waitress to replace it, which she did promptly. For sides I had fried okra and string beans, neither of them outstanding. I covered my food in various BBQ sauces, but any of those could have been right off the shelf in your supermarket. I think that I enjoyed the garlic bread the most of anything that I ate. Our total bill came to $ 24, pretty inexpensive, but we could have had a better meal at Steak n Shake. So, this is my second mediocre BBQ meal in Missouri in the last 2 months. Not sure what to say.

Been a while. First time in the new place. Sides were good. Service was good. More staff than the old place. Chicken was moist. BUT my BEEF was dry.

Very fast and very friendly. For people who are health-conscious, they do list the calorie content for their menu items, and they have a great variety of healthy side dishes. I even had the Apple Crisp A La Mode for dessert. The wait staff is exceptional, and the menu items are reasonably priced. I felt great after the meal, ready to take on the rest of day. It is a very positive atmosphere.

OK, I know BBQ. I make it a hobby to try as many BBQ joints as I can. I went to school in North Carolina. You have your Eastern and your Lexington. Previously, I thought Woody’s had the best Eastern NCBBQ sauce I’ve ever tasted. until I tasted ALL of Bandana’s sauces. First of all, I had 3 choices to eat dinner at that night, Chinese, Mexican, and this place. We decided this place would be the most healthy. Check it out. Every item on the menu has the calories listed! The server told me some people didn’t like that. I friggin’ loved it. We did the 3.5 oz of smoked meat at a special price with two sides. But I had to go to the dark side and try the smoked pork. My wife did the smoked turkey. We tried every sauce they had and mixed them. It was a tasting nirvana! I had too much fun. The meats were smoked good. The side green beans and baked beans were excellent. This place was just another great surprise on our road trip! Oh, I found out that they were ranked No ! in the St Louis area for BBQ by the plaque on the wall. I was not surprised! Oh, the evening manager and server made us feel at home. Thank you very much!

RIBSRIBSRIBS The baby back ribs are probably the best I’ve ever had. Other meats are pretty good. Sauces and sides are acceptable, but not outstanding. Very limited selection of beers. Excellent, efficient service. I’m starting to need some RIBS!

Columbia doesn’t have enough decent BBQ joints. This one is fine. A regional chain out of St Louis, I believe. Nice selection of meats — ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken, sausage and a few more. Mostly done with a dry rub then a good selection of sauces, from sweet to spicy. Decent enough fries and I also like their baked beans as a side. Have corn on the cob, green beans and even fried okra. Unless you know you like them, beware the boiled peanuts they have as an appetizer. They are definitely an acquired taste even if you are a peanut fan. Service has always been good. I still miss Mizzou BBQ.

Their sweet tea is delicious and the drinks come in giant cups. The food is also very good and well priced. They have five barbecue sauces for you to choose from at the table, which is nice. We go here for lunch about every other weekend because we like it so much :)
