An innovation that nobody has replicated yet. The food itself is an explosion of flavors. Pretty sure that they have put Columbia on the map of innovative and delicious food. «Chicken is chicken but wing is the thing».

I heard about the food truck for the past year but never saw it on the street. Finally thought I would get a chance to try it at the Food Truck Fest but the line was always over an hr long! Yeah… that’s the rep they have in Columbia. So I made the trip to the actual restaurant one day, waited for a while to order then to receive it but it was well worth the wait and 30 min drive home! The mac n cheese wings are the shiz and the fried okra makes you want to double the order. Add in seasoned fries and this place will make you do extra sets at the gym :)

I have always heard about the wing places near 5 points but stumbled upon 2 Fat 2 Fly through a friend and tried it. First, I thought their traditional wings with the homemade sauce were better than anywhere else in Columbia. Also the jambalaya stuffed wings are delicious. I cannot wait to go back and try the Mac-N-Cheese styles.

2 legit 2 quit! This was a new concept(to me) and it was good. I ordered the 3 and 2(3 pcs of wings(1 flavor) and 2 sides). The collard greens are described as citrus collards and had good flavor. The hush puppies could have been hotter but they were a nice size and tasty. The wings were piping hot so be careful not to just bite into them and burn your mouth. You’ll be mad at yourself if you do. I mean in terms of temperature they were hot as though cooked in lava. Seeing that they are stuffed they have to be cooked to make sure the internal temperature and ingredients are cooked properly. The wings weren’t dry and they were flavorful. Seeing that it wasn’t 3 whole wings I was skeptical about just ordering 3 pieces vs a pound(about 6 wings). It was enough food for me and satisfying. When you order more wings they’ll let you mix and match the flavors. This will allow you to sample the other stuffed wing options. They have traditional wings too if stuffed wings aint cha thing. Located across the street from Williams Brice stadium, 2 Fat 2 Fly is next door to a gas station so parking is limited but not difficult as many get their orders to go. I dined in and took in the ambiance. They do offer a military discount if you qualify. Good dining experience and if you get the chance try them out.

New favorite wing place! These things are delicious! I had some of the stuffed wings(mac n cheese) and the regular(garlic pepper) …both were equally awesome! The garlic pepper were the best wings Ive ever had! The sides are really good, lots to choose from. Will definitely make this a regular spot from now on. The people are awesome and very friendly! They wont disappoint!

This is one of best hidden secrets of Columbia. If you make your way into Columbia or have lived here your whole life give this place a try! The Macaroni and Cheese stuffed wings are my personal favorite and I love the seasoning on the fries and Okra maybe more than the wings. The beer is also cheep during happy hour! Hands down the friendliest staff you can find and very welcoming! As a tip don’t park in the gas station spots here, there is select parking for a reason so people visiting next door don’t have to hunt for spot. I wish they had the«sucka punch» a little more often since that’s my boyfriends favorite! This place deserves every bit of 5 stars!

Amazing drunk food! Love the mac and cheese stuffed wings, definitely recommend them. This is something you want to try if you’re in Columbia or the nearby area(also, go to the food truck festival they have every year in Cola).

This place should be ashamed of themselves. Selling all this delicious food. Who told them to make that fried okra like that. Lol. But seriously this place is amazing. Sweetheat is my favorite and the stuffed wingsssss my gosh they were tasty. It’s everything everyone hype it up to be and more. I’m not a huge fan of collards but it smelled and looked amazing as well.

Very impressed! I heard about this place all the way in Los Angeles, so of course I wanted to check em out for myself, and Omgeeeeeeee was it amazing!!! There was about a 15 – 20 minute wait in line, then another 15 – 20 minute wait for your order. We were going out to dinner so we ordered ½ a pound(6 wings) and they only had 2 favors available this past Saturday. I absolutely LOOOOOVED the waffle stuffed wing, but the Mac & Cheese was a bit over rated in my opinion. The wing itself was awesome! Fried & Seasoned to the Chicken Gods!!! But the Mac & Cheese was merely over cooked pasta with a processed, Kraft-like cheese sauce. Call me picky… But when I visit the South, I expect absolutely flawless Mac & Cheese regardless if it’s stuffed in a chicken wing or served in somebody’s great aunt Haddie Mae’s dining room!!! I’d love to see this business grow and possible expand to Los Angeles!!! I just think they could cut that wait time down to 5 – 8 mins especially if they’re only serving 2 flavors. They are very busy(awesome!!!) so I’d make at least 2 – 3 orders ahead of time knowing they’re gonna sell in an effort to cut down on the wait time. Bottom line… Don’t Get In Line Starving, The Wings Are Late, But Worth The Wait!!!

These guys are great. I don’t know how they do it. They can stuff wings with Mac and cheese? It’s pretty amazing. My favorite is the bacon, cheddar and jalapeño stuffed wings. Very innovative and tasty concept. I hear they may be opening a Restaraunt soon. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been to this place several times when they were a food truck and a brick and mortar. I will give you a bulleted list of what they do well and what they can improve upon. This will be long but a very accurate review. * If they ever get the food truck going again, do not go. First off, it is pretty much a given they will be late. They would do lunch during the week and it’s almost impossible to get your lunch timely because they never started when they said they would. You put that with the long wait times… It’s a wrap. *I will say since they have the restaurant now, they always open on time. * They opened the restaurant in the fall of 2015. They grew out of that restaurant location about 10 minutes after they opened it. The line is long, lacks parking and seating in the dining room is pretty much nonexistent. * The restaurant has the feel of a sports bar as they do serve alcohol and always have sports playing on the tv’s. It is not really set up for you to stay and eat. It’s best to get your food and go. Also, they share the restroom with the gas station next door. Another reason to get your food to go. * It is not kid friendly. The six tables they have are high tops with bar stools. The high chairs they have for kids are for tables. So the kid is pretty much on the floor. * The menu has a good variety of items outside of wings. I’ve tried several items and I’m pretty impartial to the Asian bao sliders. The side items are also very good. I think one of the owners is a chef and he can be very creative with the menu items. * The portions for the side items are decent when it comes to the fries and fried okra. If you get any other side, your portion is very small. When I say small, I mean it’s the same size you get if you were getting some type of sauce to go at any other restaurant. It’s the small black cup with a clear plastic lid that does not fit. * They still have opportunity to grow when it comes to supply and demand. They frequently run out of several flavors of the stuffed wings and other menu items. With the exception of the Mac and cheese wing. They always have it on deck. It is a good wing but honestly it is my least favorite. I think that’s because I’ve had to get that wing several times because the other two flavors run out by the time I get to order. * Speaking of stuffed wing flavors, they have several extremely good stuffed wing flavors. They frequently come out with new wings all the time. When they do come out with a new wing, I would suggest you don’t get too attached to it. You may not see it again for months! * They only have three stuffed wing flavors daily. You can bet one will be Mac and cheese and the other will be Smokehouse. That leaves only one other flavor and it usually runs out within a couple of hours after opening. That goes back to my supply and demand challenges. I really wish they would offer more variety when it comes to the stuffed wings. * The restaurant is only open part time hours. They are open from 5 – 9 Tuesday through Saturday. So if you want to go, you need to be there when the doors open. * You never know exactly what flavor stuffed wings they have day to day or the side items. You typically have to call ahead just to find out. They do a very poor job of posting the menu on social media daily and timely. I suggest they post the menu a couple of hours before opening so patrons can plan accordingly. * Customer service is great. The order taker Abby is amazing and very knowledgeable of their offerings. * They support other local establishments with some of their side dishes and with the beer offerings. This is something I love about them and appreciate as a small business owner myself. * I’m giving them two stars not because the food is not good, but because of the availability and lack of variety for the stuffed wing options. * Lastly, they are still a new restaurant with opportunity to improve. I’m confident they will get there and I will continue to support them as minority local business owners in my community.

If you come here try to get here when it opens at 5pm! The place gets packed very quickly and you want to be the first in line. The food is really good but the seating is pretty bad. They have like 2 tables and a bar so prepare to take your food to go. But the food is pretty awesome. I’d recommend it.

Delicious wings. They were nicely stuffed and the sauce on the wings made it even more flavorful! The baos are also good too. I don’t think they sell much of it tho because ppl in sc don’t like trying new foods. The sides are just ok but the star is the stuffed wings.

I’m so happy they have a restaurant now. I’ve lived in Columbia for 2.5 years and have never been able to catch them when they had the truck. Tonight I finally got to experience greatness. I got in a little before 6 p.m. And there were parking spaces available and only a couple of people eating. Right after 6 p.m. people started piling in. A car actually parked right behind me making it super difficult to get out. There is a 2 fat 2 fly parking guy that helped navigate me out in the tight squeeze. I ordered 3 jambalaya stuffed wings with fries and hush puppies. Wings were awesome. I was worried that 3 wings wouldn’t fill me but it was just enough. The fries were ridiculously awesome. Lots of seasoning and crispy. Hush puppies were good as well. I was already full but decided to order the pork belly sliders to go. I was excited because I haven’t seen any baos in Cola. They were good but still room for improvement. Abby was at the register and she was super awesome. Friendly and very helpful when it came to ordering. She saw that I was trying to look for napkins when I was at my table about to eat and grabbed me a handful. Customer service is on point. If you’ve watched their show on the Oprah Winfrey Network, you will be familiar with all the workers at the restaurant because it’s the original crew. I’ll be frequenting this place. Oh they also have happy hour from 5 – 8!

Seriously? Ramone, Corey and crew are the bees knees! I finally had a chance to stop by the brick and mortar location — Wing City — and it did not disappoint. They open at 5pm and I got there around 4:50 and there were already 4 people in line. They have a bouncer in the parking lot too to keep you out of the parking spaces for the gas station next door. The inside is great. Clean, small bar, simple décor with a major focus on the menu… which is why you came here in the first place. They have a few stuffed wing options each day and you can order those in baskets that come with two sides. Okra y’all. It’s delicious with some kind of seasoning on the outside/in the coating that makes it the best okra I’ve ever had. You also get plenty of it. The bacon cheese grits were also creamy and delicious. I’ve had the Mac and Cheese wings which were delicious. The chicken and waffles wings(waffles inside the wings! Mind = Blown) which might be my favorite. This last trip I had the Song of the South wings which were stuffed with rice and collards and had a crispy southern fried coating. DE-LISH. You can’t go wrong with any of the stuffed wings. I’m pretty sure they are all on point, but I wouldn’t be a good Unilocaler if I didn’t try them all myself and let you know. ;-) They also have some sandwich options and regular wings if you can pull yourself away from the stuffed wings. We are lucky to have such an innovative and delicious local biz in Columbia! Those wings are coveted around the country. One person in line with me last time had driven from Greenville. So proud of everything they have accomplished!

2 Fat 2 Fly finally has a standing location so you don’t have to run around looking for the actual food truck! However, it is located in small building and it’s called Wing City right next to a gas station over on Bluff Road very close to Williams-Brice Stadium. It’s only open from 5 – 10PM on the weekdays but closed on Mondays with more extended hours on the weekend. The lines still can get pretty long so I suggest getting here as close to 5 as you can. When you walk in, they have a giant chalkboard that shows the daily specials, wing flavors, and sides. There’s not much seating so don’t plan on getting a seat. They also have a few beers on tap as well as bottled beer with drink specials. The sides and stuffed wing flavors change daily but you can find them out on their Facebook page. 2 Fat 2 Fly is known for their stuffed wings which you can only get by ordering a combo. The best combo deal probably is «The Rookie» which is 2 stuffed wings, 3 regular wings, and 2 sides for 11.50. Pricey for what you get but people are still all over it. We decided to order multiple combos so we could try out different flavors and sides. My favorite stuffed wings were the jambalaya and sucka punch which is jalapenos, bacon and cheddar inside. They didn’t have the chicken and waffle or chicken parmesan that day which I still want to try. The regular wings are just average which aren’t any different from any other wing spot. As for the sides, my favorites were the mac and cheese as well as the fried okra. They do put some cajun seasoning of some sort on the french fries which gives them a distinct flavor. A lot of hype for this spot but I wouldn’t say it really lived up to the hype. It was good but definitely pricey. It definitely is on point for the stuffed chicken wings but not really anything special for the rest of the stuff.

I love these wings! You can’t find this anywhere else! Stuffed wings, you say? Being from foodie-haven Louisville, it’s hard to find something we don’t have here. But 2 Fat 2 Fly is definitely worth making a drive for. I was in Columbia already and absolutely could not pass up this opportunity. For starters, the wings on their own will knock your socks off. Most wing places can’t make them this juicy and savory. If you didn’t did know what was coming next, you’d be content with lavishing in these sweet and succulent wings. On top of that, the stuffing inside the wing is a knock-out punch. The Mac-and-cheese couldn’t have been more satisfying. Salty and cheesy and filling. It’ll give you flashbacks to grandma’s country kitchen. You GOTTA get in here if you haven’t. I wish I’d have had the chance to try every item on the menu. But one plate was more than enough to send me home full and completely content. Fingers crossed these guys can open a location in Louisville at some point in the future!
