We love Basha. They have great bread with their hummus. The falafel and atmosphere are also good.

I am so glad that the management changed! Our first time here was a week or two after it opened. Terrible experience. Tried again about a year or so later and what a difference the change made. We came here as a family looking for some decent Arabic/Middle Eastern food since friends and family had eaten there recently saying it was different from when it first opened. We weren’t disappointed. We ordered the mixed grill family platter which included chicken, lamb and beef that was grilled quite well. The rice was okay but the bread was fresh and hot. The appetizers were good but the falafel was excellent. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We plan on returning and soon.

On a fluke we pulled in to Basha to give it a try. We were more than pleasantly surprised. First off, both of us are big hummus fans and this appitizer did not disappoint in the least. I ordered the Basha Mixed Grill(kabobs) and my girlfriend ordered the Mixed shawarma and both plates were delicious. I should have went more hungry than I was. I felt bad when the owner came up and asked if anything was wrong since I didn’t even eat half of my plate. We explained it was delicious but it was our first time there and didn’t know how large the plates would be. He was glad we were there and gave a nice warm dessert to show his gratitude. That meant a lot to us in terms of service(even though we were already stuffed!) He also informed us that they were new owners as of Novmber ’15. We will return to Basha frequently. It was a great first impression.

Second time at this gem of a restaurant, and we drive 20 minutes to get there. We love this place. The 5 of us – 3 kids &2 adults – just ate here for $ 35. And we were all stuffed. The bread is made in the wood-fired oven right there. We love the vegetarian platter and the mixed meat shawarma platter. And the server has personality to boot.(She made fun of the no carb one of us in the group.) Can’t wait to come back again.

My family LOVES Basha. First time dining in and service was fantastic, very welcoming and family friendly environment. Food is delicious and the most authentic Mediterranean meal I have ever had. Five stars all around, I will be returning soon and I highly recommend you check it out!

Tip: head over to Holy Land close by on Central instead! It’s a lot more casual of a place, but the food is much better. Ok Basha. I really wanted to like this place — finding good Lebanese and Persian restaurants in Minneapolis has been tough coming from California! Décor and all, nice. We had the ‘mutabal’ as an appetizer, which was yummy. The best part was the incredibly soft and fresh hot flat bread. Unfortunately, we didn’t think any of the other parts of the meal were good. The lentil soup was too bland, and somehow even the traditional rice was just tasteless. All of the meats we ordered were dry and tasteless: Basha Mixed Grill, Lamb Kabob, and Kofta Kabob. Man, we were craving some good kabobs that day, and were let down. I would not go again. We wanted to give this new place a try, and hopefully some day the dishes may improve. In the meantime, we’ll head over to the delicious dishes at Holy Land close by on Central.

I have been here 2 times in a row, so far i didnt see anything wrong with the service, location, servers, restrooms. I got chicken shish kebab, with salad no rice no bread. Perfect combo for body builders. Usually chicken breast taste nothing but paper however in this place they do it right and taste really good.

This place has good food. We ordered the 3-person meat samples dish so that we could have leftovers. The Chicken tikka and lamb were delicious and so was the rice! It also came with the appetizer platter, a meze-style spread of dips such as hummus and three other eggplant base dips. The bread was also the star! It was cooked with their open fire grill in-house, which kind of reminds me of an Italian pizza joint. Looks like they also sell a lot of their wood-fire pizza, but we didn’t order one. The restaurant is very spacious. They probably do a lot of catering or special events. They also have a great outdoor patio. There are lots of parking available. Although the decoration is slightly cheesy, the service was great. I highly recommend this place.

Arrived after parking and came upon their side doors… my first thought was this has a lot of potential. the patio space and outside look impressive although it was raining out and they didn’t have the outside space open. We entered the restaurant and was greeted and sat at a booth of our choice. Our server was nice but had zero experience along with most of the servers there working. The booth behind us apparently had been waiting almost an hour for service(YIKES) and another gentleman beside us was totally ignored for almost 20 minutes. They had a million minions running around but almost no one knew what they were doing… We did get our appetizer within a reasonable time and our entrée but the service was literally out of hand no good although our server was trying. I could get past the sub par service and try it again because they did have like 3 huge tables they were serving but I just cant… you know why? The food just wasn’t that good. The lamb and chicken kabobs were dry as rice. The rice was as memorable bland. Great space, poor service, food was forgettable.

Ate here for dinner Sunday night with a groupon. The parking had about 20ish spots, so that was easy parking. The waitress gave good details on the meal size. The 3 person meat platter plate came with a basha sampler. It was a lot of food. I liked the amount of food I got per dollar, but the lamb and chicken breast from my dish was dry and over cooked. The good part was the chicken thigh, it was moist and chewy. Based on my first time, it was a good value for food.

Finally! I can say I’ve had something Mediterranean other than Gyros and Dino’s. We visited Basha on a quiet Monday night for dinner. There were two gentlemen outside smoking hookahs. We opted to sit outside, as Minnesota is well known for its impossibly short summers, to enjoy the weather. We had the falafel for an appetizer then the lamb shawarma and the mixed shawarma. I highly recommend this venue. Service was impeccable.

Really good food. The hummus was some of the best I’ve ever had. Its served with olive oil, seasonings and a great flat bread. The mixed shawarma platter was so good. Also loved the mint tea. I thought the chicken tikka was a little dry but still tasty. Atmosphere was nice. Ill be back for the food again soon.

Flavorful, fresh and delicious! We had the tikka chicken platter, the beef shawarma platter and a beef pizza. The pizza dough is delicious — slightly chewy and fresh from the oven. The toppings were a really good combination. The chicken had a wonderful flavor. We were worried it would be dry but it was moist and probably our favorite. The beef platter was also delicious but not as notable as the pizza or chicken. If you like Mediterranean food and live reasonably close by, it’s worth a try. As others noted, they do seem sometimes understaffed but the staff they have is friendly and service was pretty good despite how busy they were.

Tonight we visited Basha for the first time. We tried the mixed grill(kabobs) and the mixed schwarma. Both meals were tasty, but I don’t have much of a basis for comparison in terms of authenticity. We saw some pizzas that looked so so good. The exterior and interior were both modern and neat. There was ample parking space in back. Wait staff was quick to provide honest recommendations, which is appreciated. Too full for dessert, but maybe next time!

Very disappointed! I ordered Basha seafood mixed grill. They gave me very small portion of Salman, very dry and overcooked shrimps. I told to the waitress about it and I told her to tell the manager what a joke? The waitress told her manager he doesn’t even care. Which really surprised us. Without any hesitation they charge me 19.95 $. Very poor food and service. I don’t recommend this restaurant:((

Went back twice after my initial visit, and the service has improved tremendously! There was a change of management, which might be the reason. On my second visit I placed a take out order of fattet hummus, a delicious middle eastern speciality consisting of hummus, bread and topped with fried almonds, beef, and warm ghee. I was shocked at how well the dish was executed; it’s as good as the ones I’ve had overseas. The third visit I had their appetizer platter, and I must say, they have the best falafel in the twin cities! I hope they stick around.

We showed up unannounced. All fifteen of us. They were having a few-servers-call-in-sick but still managed to somehow be prompt and attentive. We had the family platter. It came with the fresh baked in house bread. The meats were grilled to perfection and I will not start on praising the only moist kofta in town. The rice moist and superbly flavorful. The humus and other dips were among the best in town. We also had a cheese manaeesh which is a middle eastern tomatoless pizza made in their wood oven. We got a fried snapper fish. The sauce topping was amazing. Dessert was rice pudding called Mahalabia. It was creamy and light on the sugar. We slso had Konafa Nablousia filled with Haloum cheese. It was heavenly. The owner himself came to help serve our group. When our car got security locked and wouldn’t start in the middle of a snow storm the owner offered to drive us home and pick one back after we get a new key.
