Steve’s Locksmithing Service

My experience was so bad when I called Steve that I created a Unilocal account to make sure I can warn others. Short version: don’t ever use him for his services, he will try to scam you and charge you for stuff that you do not need. There are plenty of other quality locksmith arrives in town.
Long version: I called a while back to get help with my vehicle ignition, my ignition system was getting old and I had problems with my key not turning. Steve shows up and asks me what maintenance service I use for my vehicle. Perplexed on why that matters I told him the company, he condescendingly says there’s your first problem. Giving him the benefit of the doubt but not understanding how where I get my vehicle maintained has anything to do with ignition, I asked him if he could fixed the issue. Without even looking at my ignition he says I need to get my automatic transmission system replaced and recommends that I call this place he recommended and told me to make sure I tell them he recommended me to go there. He estimates tow and replacement would cost about $ 1,000 and says it’s a good deal because they will take care of me and it’s a discounted price. He then tells me once I spend money to get all that done he can fix it for about $ 300. I don’t know that much about vehicles but it didn’t sound right. told him thanks I’ll look into it and proceeded to call another locksmith. I had my ignition issues fixed at my residence for $ 250 on the same day. Again, extremely dishonest, will try to scam you with extra things you don’t need, do not use!
