History

Established in 1973.

Mountain Vista Dental originally opened its doors to the Colorado Springs community in 1973 under the name of John Ley. In 2001 after a partnership with Dr. Carlson we then changed our name to Ley and Carlson. Now after the addition of Dr. LePendu we have renamed our practice once more to Mountain Vista Dental. We have had the pleasure of making smiles brighter due to our wonderful staff and outstanding Doctors for generations of patients. Dr. John Ley practiced in Colorado Springs from 1973 – 2011 until he retired. Dr. Carlson joined our practice, and partnered with Dr. Ley in 2001. And Dr. LePendu, who joined our team in 2010. Doctors Carlson and LePendu look forward to serving the community with honest and friendly service as well as individual attention to the specific needs of each of our patients.

Dr. Carlson attended Talbott Elementary, Watson Junior High and graduated from Widefield High School. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder earning a BS in Business Finance. After spending the next three years working for a Wall Street firm as a manager in their Denver office, he attended the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctorate in Dental Science degree in 2001
