Why do I have to give this business any stars? From what I can tell, they don’t like their customers. I scheduled a $ 1200.00 gutter repair job with Academy. I was told to expect a call the day before so they could get a 25% deposit on my credit card. Just as promised, I got that call and gave them the card information… and they charged me the 25% in advance. They were to appear at my girlfriend’s house between 8:00 and 9:00AM to do the work… and I was told I need to be there to give them access. I was there. They did not show up. I called the sales guy at 9:05; he said he had just found out that they had mistakenly scheduled my gutter work for Fort Collins instead of Colorado Springs. I told him that I had made a trip from Denver to meet the crew, and that I was NOT happy to be stood up. He gave me a number to complain… in Denver. I contacted the Denver office. They called me back after investigating the problem, and indeed, it was a «human error» as my work REALLY was misrouted to Fort Collins. However, they promised to show up the next day between 8:00 — 9:00AM. I asked to speak to the District Manager(Rick), who was out of the office but would call me the next day. Of course, Rick never called. I then made a second trip from Denver to Colorado Springs to meet the crew between 8:00 — 9:00AM. Again… no show. At 9:05AM, I got a call from someone at Academy Insulation saying that they were running late and wouldn’t be able to start work until at least 10:30 that morning. I had made other appointments(post 9:00AM), and couldn’t meet the crew at 10:30. I called Academy and cancelled the entire job. Seriously. I do not know how these guys can stay in business. They make promises but fail to deliver. DONOT use them for any work, unless you can wait until they can do your job at their convenience. The only promise to me that they actually kept was to charge my credit card BEFORE doing any work. ZEROSTARS. ZEROCREDIBILITY. ZERORESPECTFORCUSTOMERS.
