Established in 2007.

5 Star Moving and Storage is your local mover that stands up to our name. We are locally owned and operated out of Colorado Springs, CO but we service the entire State of Colorado. 5 Star opened with a combined industry experience of over 20 yrs. It is not uncommon to deal with a managing partner in the office to coordinate your move or see 5 Star’s other main partner still managing crews, and doing site inspection to make sure your move is being properly handled to his specifics!

I cannot say enough great things about 5 Star Moving. From the first phone call to the final day, the service was amazing. Aubra was incredibly helpful, and full of valuable information. I have had horrible experiences in past with movers, and am so grateful to everyone at 5 Star.
My team of movers, Ron, Dave and Billy were careful and expedient all at the same time. Very skilled at packing up a truck. Everything for perfectly!

Packing of collectables, fragile china and crystal was completed rapidly with precision and care. We also had some extremely heavy and unwieldy items that were packed, moved and handled professionally.
From the estimating process through scheduling and performance the entire process was excellent, on time and within budget, we would not hesitate in recommending 5 Star Moving, and we will be using their services in the future.

Wow. Lets clarify for the folks mistakenly seeing ‘another satisfied customer!’ $ 4000 worth of damage. Period. In a four mile move. There is no ‘satisfactorily settled’ here whatsoever. You’ll notice no one says anything about the four hour overage (at their error) that resulted in $ 1,000 extra charge. {{eyeroll}}

I’ve now used 5 Star for two moves. They’ve been fantastic both times. The crew comes out, works hard, and communicated well throughout the process. The initial quote was really accurate compared to what we ended up paying. I couldn’t be happier, and I can’t recommend this company enough. Honest, hard workers.

Their name says it all… they really did a 5-​Star job for us THREE TIMES THIS YEAR! My wife and I had extensive remodeling done at our home this year, and because I have lung problems, we needed to move out during the remodel. We chose 5-​Star Moving and Storage initially because they gave us the best price for our move from our house to an apartment. We were extremely pleased with the job the 2 men did getting us moved, on-​time, courteous, friendly and FAST! When the remodeling wasn’t completed by the time we had to vacate the apartment, we had them move us again to another apartment in the complex. Again, they did a great job. Finally, when it came time to move back home, we naturally called on 5-​Star again, and again we were extremely pleased with the men, their work and the price. Each move was accomplished with a different 2-​man team each time, so I can wholeheartedly recommend them, because I’m sure that whoever they send to do a move, they’ll do a great job.

If you’re looking for great customer service, this is the company to use! Aubra was very accommodating with our requests and told us what to expect from the start. The price was very competitive and their level of service was fantastic. Although I received a few more calls than I thought necessary, they are a small business and it’s their job to follow-​through with leads and offer their services to those that have shown interest. I’m pleased we chose 5 Star… they are friendly, ON TIME (big bonus), and their moving crew took extra steps to ensure our equipment arrived safe and intact. I’m very pleased!

I can not say enough about 5 Star Moving & Storage. Sadly, we have had to move my mother 3 times since May, from Independent Living to Assisted Living & now a Memory Care facility. It has been very difficult on our family but Aubra & Shiri, who set up all the moves were always very compassionate, understanding & most importantly, very conscience of my mother’s finances. Thank you to them. When it came to the actual move, Olivia was one of the best packers I have ever seen. We did not have one item damaged or broken in any of the three moves. She is a superstar & so friendly, helpful & very pleasant to be around. Definitely make a request for Olivia. You will be glad you did. Our favorite drivers were Anthony & Clayton. I would highly recommend 5 Star to anyone who would appreciate a stress free moving experience.

We were greatly impressed by the service provided by 5 Star Moving. The lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful. The movers were prompt, courteous, friendly and worked hard!
My daughter’s townhouse enters through the garage and then it’s up the stairs to the main floor and up another flight of stairs to the bedrooms.
The movers worked non-​stop! There’s no way we could have moved all that they did, especially in the same time frame!
We were all greatly impressed by how hard they worked.
We wouldn’t hesitate to call 5star moving again. You guys were great!

So… I got a quote from them, decided not to use them. In the meantime they had charged my card $ 300. When I called and canceled within the 7 day period, they did not refund my money until I called them. I had already disputed the charge.
Fast-​forward to today when Melissa calls me and very very rudely talks to me about them paying me and yada yada yada. I had to ask her to stop speaking to me so rudely. And she continued to get more rude until i said «look girlfriend we both made mistakes» then she seemed to speak to me better.
Not great costumer service and if I had gone down the road of being a b!)ch it would have gotten ugly. NOT good costumer service.

We hired Five Star to move our house into a Upack trailer for our out of state move a few days ago. The office was easy to work with, all information and pricing was given up front. They called to confirm the day before and on the day-​of, the guys showed up on time. We had Anthony and Patrick– they had great attitudes and worked quickly. The thing I was most impressed with though, was their packing skills. We had recently used a upack trailer to move into the state, which we Packed ourselves and used 23 feet– Anthony and Patrick packed the trailer so well, that we only used 15 feet! It saved us hundreds of dollars with the trailer company. We were really impressed. They were careful with our stuff. We even had some larger items and I forgot to mention that we had a few stairs to get to our door and they were extremely accommodating! I would definitely recommend, especially Patrick and Anthony!

The bottom line is that just two of their packers saved my move! Packers from another company quit and these two ladies saved the day by finishing ahead of schedule even after a late start (which wasn’t their fault). Great work ethic and very friendly, they would be my first choice if I ever move back to the area.

We have used 5 star moving and storage twice now. The first time they did an amazing job, which is why we secured them once again to do a second job. The first job was an unloading our moving truck when we arrived to the springs, the second we a load up our truck (which turned into trucks) so we could leave the springs.
The second experience is where the performance of the job did not meet the standard or expectation. The second truck which was unknowingly required later was poorly packed. Heavy boxes were place on lighter ones resulting in them being crushed, items were tossed in as if it were simply a heap of junk being moved not our expensive furniture and personal belongings. Apologies have been accepted but they do not recover the damages done to our items like dressers, beds, fans, chairs, gym equipment etc.
They are a good company but I would advice making sure someone is supervising the loading and packing of your items if they are important and valued as our are and were.

After doing a little research to find a company to help relocate my office, I settled on 5 Star. We were in a unique situation as right up to the day of the move we weren’t entirely sure where we were moving to. The sales rep from 5-​Star was very accommodating and wasn’t phased by how disorganized we were on our end. When moving day finally came, the drivers were on time, took great care with our stuff, and finished in the estimated and agreed upon time. I have no complaints.
Addendum several months later: I have now used them twice since the original review. They were awesome both times. Consistent.

Never actually used this moving company but have received 11 missed calls (most of them missed on purpose) from them in less than 1 month. I was getting ready to move and had put my information in for a moving quote and started receiving the phone calls. the person calling (Audra?) would leave snotty voice mails saying «I haven’t been able to get a hold of you regarding your move» Well, if I wanted to use your company, I would have called you back. This model of gaining business is annoying and made me want to use them even less.

We booked our out of state move 2 months out and when it came down to 48 hrs before the first pick up date we were told this would be extended to from 2 – 3 more days approx 48 hours before they were to arrive and pick up. Our house was packed and we had a new job to start that next week, not to mention multiple other appointments and deadlines based on this move. We agreed and started waiting until Tuesday. Everyone at 5 Star left for the Holiday weekend and we were not contacted or able to make contact until the following Tuesday. Monday night rolled around and still no call from the movers in regards to what we could expect the following day. We ended calling first thing Tuesday to see if they were still coming and what time we might expect them and were told that the movers wouldnt be coming until later that day from 1−3pm. We were left waiting again. 2:45 rolled around and still no one, so we called again to see what was going on and were told they would be another 30 minutes late. What ended up happening is that 5 Star was going to (unknowingly to my husband and I) send out their personal set of 3 guys (very unprofessional) and very small moving truck to take our belongings back to their warehouse. These 3 young men went on to tell us how «dumb» it was to take our stuff back there and then theyd be moving it around again when a driver from Arpin Van Line showed up and could actually load our belongings to be moved to Texas. We did not let them to take our belongings in fear of how they might be treated and how long we might actually go without everything. We honestly had no idea what was going on at this point and this seemed to be the best thing we could do. We ended up left with little to no options. 5 Star took it upon themselves to call and accuse us of multiple wrongs, seemed unapologetic and offered no help. We felt they were unorganized and the customer service was below par. DONT USE THEM is the only thing I can recommend!

I recently moved to Colorado Springs and had a great moving experience with 5-​Star. I hired 2 guys for labor only (I pulled up my own truck and they unloaded everything), and they did an amazing job– not only were they done WELL UNDER the 3 hours that had been estimated, but they were friendly, helpful (they put everything exactly where I wanted it), and careful with all of my stuff. At one point, I saw the guys actually jogging backwards up the stairs to my 3rd-​level walk-​up.
They were more expensive that the movers I hired in downtown Chicago, but they were worth every penny.
