I’m a local and am thrilled to finally have great Mexican food nearby! Our food last night was perfectly flavored and tasted so fresh. Very friendly owners. Great menu choices for the kids and a family friendly patio area. Grabbed an ice cream from the store afterward and everyone was happy.

Burritos & tacos are okay, but nachos suck and have fake cheese. If you are coming from Sac or the Bay don’t expect this to be of that caliber. However, it is the best option for Mexican food within 15 – 20 minutes.

Repeat visit and just as satisfied as the first time. Had a talk with the owner. She is an older lady who is Portuguese/Brazilian. She said her husband has had restaurant experience in Los Angeles. I was raised in East L.A. and modestly think that I really know decent Mexican Food. I find this place a good example of decent Mexican food. I did not discover any«grizzly» meat and thought the food was adequately spiced. The chips and the salsa bar are great. The chips are obviously made in house and not store bought. If you are visiting the GDSP or rafting, this is an obvious choice for a stop.

At least it’s in Coloma! I was hoping for a Taqueria Carnival(in Placerville), but this place is not that good. The meat on my carne asada burrito was gristly and it was dry. I grew up in SoCal with hundreds of Mexican food options and this place is just alright, nothing special! The food needs more flavor, better sauces etc… Not many choices in Coloma.

Had the veggie omelet; this place is bangin! Good salsa bar and selection of beers too.

Finally a good place to eat in coloma. Great Mexican give it a try. I had a chicken taco and a pork taco very fresh and juicy prices are cheap, service is quick and the staff is very nice.

Came on a «glamping» trip at the resort behind. Was ecstatic to learn that the store was open and they had a restaurant. I do consider myself to be a Mexican food connoisseur. These carnita tacos were AMAZING. Put it this way, I will be driving back anytime I can find an excuse to be in the area just for the tacos. Family operated and they are going to be open year round. I am up here quite a bit and it is sad to see everything close in the fall. Makes it very convenient when staying at the resort. Now I dont have to cook when we are glamping!

We were delighted to learn that this well-reviewed taqueria was adjacent to the Ponderosa RV Campground where we stayed the night before our OARS White Water River Rafting trip. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, the food very tasty and reasonably priced. Perfect place for tacos & cervezas on the outdoor patio! The shrimp cocktail was fresh, delicious and enormous!

I’m a local and I am happy to say I eat here all the time, multiple times a week even! The food and service is great at this family owned taqueria. I’ve tried multiple items on the menu. Their carne asada tacos are my all time favorite and there’s no way you can pass up the salsa bar!

We stopped here on the way back from a hike. Pretty impressive for being in the middle of nowhere. The red salsa was delicious. My carne asada taco and quesadilla were good and the service was friendly. The prices were reasonable and the portions were good sized.
