Nordstrom Rack

One star for customer service. This is the second time recently that I have received rude and disrespectful associates from this particular property.
First time was with the fitting room attendant. She really lacked personable traits that would be appreciated from customers.
Yesterday I had an interaction with the manager «Leanna «
I went in to return a pair of shoes I bought for my son at Christmas time. He didn’t like them. So I told him I would retune them for him.
Cashier told me due to the barcode missing that she couldn’t return them (NR sticker still in tact. Took barcode and price off as they were a gift) I asked her to call a manager. The manager came over on her high horse. She made more than three commoners to me insinuating that they were either stolen or that they weren’t from their store. She called the shoe manager over and right away he knew that were indeed NR Merchandise. That was after she made snide remarks to him about the return in front of me. (yes. I have a son that wears a size 12 shoe)
Get off your high horse Leanne. I work in hospitality. I know how you have been trained to deal with the public. And you did not uphold your duty as a NR employee. Be nicer. Smile. Have a conversation. Be endearing. Have a welcoming demeanor.
Customers don’t want to be treated with unwelcoming associates. If you don’t like the public go work in the shoe warehouse. Then you might get to know your product.

Great prices for the quality, especially if you don’t want to spend the full price at Nordstorm.
I like shoe shopping here, they seem to carry a lot of cute shoes and at reasonable prices too.
The clothing selection is ok. They do have a clearance section but not much caught my eye. The fitting room attendant didn’t seem to happy. When I approached the fitting the room I put my clothes on the rack to be counted but the lady never appeared. It took a over 5min to find her in a room in the fitting room area and when she saw me and didn’t even say a thing. I had to do the whole, uuhem I need help here.
The line for check out is always long, but it does move fairly quickly. The cashiers are nice. It is hard though to ask for help on the floor, especially if you want to purchase a purse that is locked and when you finally find someone they tell you to wait while they find someone else to open it.
Overall this store can be a bit more organized and cleaner. Staff may need a bit more training on customer service, especially if working on the floor and should definitely not avoid customers.

I think 75% of my clothing, shoes and bags are from Nordstrom Rack. This location is close to home so I often visit and I can always find something awesome. Most of the cashiers are very nice Filipina ladies, they work hard and are very sweet. It’s a tough job and now that we can return online Rack and Hautelook, there’s lots of additional pressure on them since the return process is poor and time consuming.
Nordstrom has to come up with a better online to store return procedure. How they do it now is manual and with today’s technology, they can find a better way. They can take a lesson from Macy’s and The Gap where you can just provide the credit card you used and they can easily scan and find the item. They do that in the actual Nordstrom stores so why aren’t they doing that at the Rack?
Other than that, they have great stuff and 90 days to return is great!

Absolutely love this store. Lots of unhappy cashiers minus the ones not standing in front of the registers. iPhones don’t always work. Love all their stuff especially the high end shoes and Michael Kors jackets. Can’t fit their ted baker items or kate spade. Lots of good home stuff though.

Very disappointed in this store — just a heads up they have a 90 day return policy; if you don’t exchange or return within this time frame — you get NADA, no store credit… NOTHING! The shoes I needed to return was a gift and didn’t know about the 90 day policy. In any event, it’s unfortunate as I cannot wear these shoes, so it’s gift money thrown out the door. I will try to find someone to donate them to.
I do not recommend this store!

This store is messy and completely disorganized. The check outlines are always ridiculously long with one or two cashiers. I’m actually doing this review as I wait in line as the 6^th person back. When you order online and take a return to the store, you get attitude. I will continue to do my returns here but I won’t give this store any of my money.

Not really feeling the customer service here and that goes a long way in having sales in my opinion. What happened to greeting your customers when they enter the store and really helping them out when they have questions? Nope, none of that, mostly all the sales employees that I encountered here just stare and give you this rude eye. I don’t know if it was the way I was dressed, plain shirt, basketball shorts and casual shoes or something else, it really shouldn’t matter. Customer service should always be good and equal to all customers. They just lost a customer and probably some more down the line.

Just encountered a cashier who was so distracted to go on her break, the boyfriend calling from the store radio was asking her whereabouts. I just asked for 2 separate transactions and all of a sudden she stopped and forgot to scan some. So I end up getting 3 transactions and when I started checking one by one she stated to me that she don’t think she made mistake. I looked at her and said instead of you apologizing for rushing me and throwing all my things in the bag without folding… you have the guts to tell me that you didn’t made mistake? Then the boyfriend called again on the radio… and then she said have a good night and left me in front of the register. Poor customer service. She needs to be retrained.

Clean and organized but I wasn’t able to find great deals. My dad purchased a watch here and the line to checkout was quite long. The cashier and the other workers weren’t than friendly either.

My favorite Nordstrom Rack in California. I haven’t been to a Nordstrom Rack with a large variety of clothes at great prices. I always make sure to save my money to go shopping here because I always find a good deal. Also, it’s even better than Marshall’s is two doors down, so you can go there if you don’t find what you’re looking for.
The only downside is that this store is pretty messy. However, it is an outlet store after all so what do you expect? The employees here are really nice and there is good customer service, so that kind of makes up for it.

Really bad customer service. I don’t think I will come back to shop for next time. I came here to bought 2 Michael Kors watches and the girl name «Jenny» was helping us and she was nice. I told them to put it on hold for the watches at the cash register and when I check out I found that they switched my watch and sold it to other customer. What it left was the one with a lot of scratches. This is really bad and shameful.
I won’t recommend others to shop here!!!

I like the selection and like the staff there. People are much happier than @Marshalls next door.
I also like their selection. Seems better than at other locations. And shoes they stack are complete pairs. So you don’t have to chase anyone asking to find a shoe. Really easy, grab a pair, pay, and walk out. Just how its supposed to be.

I have been finding some steals here. Black suede wedge booties $ 30. I used to not have the patience to wade through the racks but I now can tolerate it as long as it not crowded.

This is quickly becoming one of my go-​to shopping destinations. I spend way too much time here, and I always find great deals. I love the salespeople in green, especially when there’s a long line, so you can check out a lot faster.

I just want to share the frustrating experience I had last night.
I bought a Dooney & Bourke wristlet for a Kris Kringle present, it was Relyn who helped me at the register. Before she rang me up, I already told her that I need a gift receipt which she cheerily said yes. When she started the transaction and started scanning the barcode, again I reminded her of the gift receipt. She finished the transaction and apparently forgot the gift receipt that I’ve reminded her to provide countless times.
She then said, no problem– I will do it again. She voided the transaction and rang me up again so she can print a gift receipt which she forgot– after all the reminder grrrr! She then gave me the receipts including the voided transaction and my daughter and I left the store.
We then went to Old Navy and as I was checking my email, I got two emails receipts from Nordstrom Yuck– I mean, Nordstrom Rack for two charges of $ 54.97. Immediately, we rushed back to the store so that I can fix this problem– 2 charges of $ 54.97 was a no no!
Went back to the store and demanded to speak with the manager. Samantha came and spoke with me, she then explained that the first transaction was voided and unfortunately, they don’t email voided transaction receipts. I was adamant about the transactions because I was charged twice. I said that it was not my fault that Relyn did the transaction twice which resulted in charging me twice even if she voided the transaction — the other $ 54.97 is still pending in my account and who knows when it will clear since it was Saturday– a weekend the next day. Samantha then said sorry that because it’s busy their sales people sometimes makes errors. I was really insistent, I was mad! Samantha then told me «What do you want me to do?», with all the frustration in me– I just said to «train your people well».
My beef on the matter now is this:
If I went over the limit with the credit card that I used, since with the double transaction, I am worried that I might be charged going over the limit.
With the reasoning made by your Manager saying sorry and this problem happens because it’s busy– I don’t buy it.
I also didn’t feel good talking to the Manager, she was pretty defensive which in my opinion came out as rude.
Although I like shopping at
the store, I feel like the incident has prompted me to think twice, Nordstrom Yuck!

This place is so busy and messy. I got a headache. Maybe because it’s holiday season or something, but dang, I was getting clusterphobic. I felt bad for my boyfriend bc he was pushing the stroller around but there was barely any room. People and Items everywhere. The only good thing was that there was an express checkout in random places where you can pay with your card and bounce. But after I paid, I saw there was a long line behind me too. The deals are good though, I saw $ 60 – 80 jackets and dresses for my baby that were marked down to $ 20 – 30 bucks. Found some cute rainboots for my nephew for only 15 bucks, orginally they were 36. :)

This place is pretty much how I dress myself.
I can only tell you about the men’s section. I think their men’s section has better selections than the peer store in other areas. They have everything from suits to swimwear and it’s all reasonably priced.
They carry a pretty good mix of styles and brands too whether you want more conservative, higher end stuff (Burberry etc) or more downtown albeit still outside too expensive to full price stuff (John Varvatos, Vince).
I always stop in here every time I go to SF. I always get out spending under a $ 100. Gotta love it.

Okay miss thang behind the counter (the black girl with a bun). How about you lose the attitude and put a smile on that face? I absolutely hate people who have bad customer service.
Her: I can help who’s next.
Me: *hand over my item*
Her: That’ll be $_​_​_​_​.
Me: *swipe card* Thanks! :)
Her: Yup (no smile or eye contact).
If you can’t make customers feel valued then go and work in the stocking room.

This Nordstrom is pretty crowdy! So, go early early or 30 min before closing!
I do love how most employees are equipped to check you out anywhere in the store! So HUGE TIP: never wait in line!
I do enjoy the purse, and makeup/​hair product/​lotion etc. selection at Nordstrom! However, ULTA is right across the street from this one, so I’d recommend to go to Ulta to get those pts! ;)
Shoe selection, coats, and basics are great finds at a Nordstrom Rack. The good quality for the good bargain price! Who cares if it’s a season or two behind… most people won’t notice!

Nordstrom Rack is definitely a place that requires patience. There are racks next to racks next to racks full of clothing, shoes, purses, watches, etc. If you’re impatient then shopping here might not be the best choice. A lot of their racks are jammed pack full of different items so you’re going to have to take your time looking through them. Shoes and purses are a bit easier to look at as shoes are by size and purses are by brand. Clothing… uhm, that’s going to take some work.
Nordstrom Rack is definitely a good place to come if you want to buy brand names at cheaper prices. I know purses include brands like Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Kate Spade. and shoes have brands like Jessica Simpson, Coach, Nike, Converse… etc. Bottom line: A LOT of different brands located conveniently in one store!
This store is located in a shopping plaza so there’s parking all around although most spots are labeled compact and it could be difficult parking if your car is a bit wider than most.
Overall, this is a good place to come to for brand names without the expensive price tag. Just stay patient if you can. And lines can be a bit long, but to combat this problem, Nordstrom Rack has some, if not all employees caring a tool that will allow you to have check out at any small station. Just ask an employee if they can help you with check out. This is only allowed for card purchases, though.
