I’m guessing they have recently updated because all prior complaints seem to be null and void. The room is very clean and modern with all the amenities my wife and I needed on our way from Nebraska to Indiana. Better than average breakfast and wonderfully nice staff. The only small complaint I would have is the noise on the ground floor right next to the breakfast area at 6am.

I stayed at the Fairfield on business for the last two weeks. It is a nice clean and safe hotel. Only real complaint is the lack of a workout room. They have a deal with a near by gym but i don’t want to get in a car if i’m in the mood to work out in the morning.

Under construction. If I’d know, I wouldn’t have come here. The breakfast was served in two rooms. There are no vending machines, one ice machine and the rooms are a bit outdated. I’ll pass next time.

Hi, Threw the i was able to get the room for 2 day’s … the positives … food was good, nice people, bed+pillows were Great one of those cush type mattresses … the negatives as mentioned the elevator really needs some work(over hauled)… The thing that really bothered us was the HOTTUB dosen’t and won’t EVER work. I checked the reviews on priceline and people said the hot tub wasn’t working our(OUTOFORDOR) for the last few months. When i asked a worker there the person said there NOT going to have the hot tub there it will be turned into part of the office. The reason ime this mad about this is because. the only reason we even stayed at this hotel was mainly to use the hot tub… Take some advice call hotels and double check things DON’t trust what you read on the int. JEFF ill stayed 5÷3÷2013

After an 870 mile drive, made with just 20 minutes of stops(yeah I’m a serious road warrior!!!), it was time to stop for the night. I was so excited to be back in my old hometown. Just 12 miles from downtown St. Louis, Collinsville is a great place to stay. Prices are considerably less than downtown hotels, and the morning drive to the gorgeous Gateway City is an easy one. I got a room fro $ 89($ 101 with taxes). Like Kristin said in her review, the hotel has not been updated in a few years. I stay in Marriott brand hotels a lot and this one was a little more outdated than your average bear. The breakfast was also underwhelming. The staff was very nice(no big surprise since this is the Midwest!!). The free wi-fi service worked very well as I was able to catch some YouTube with no buffering. I have learned to never trust hotel alarm clocks, so I always ask for a wake up call also. You would be surprised how many hotels screw this up! But here both my alarm and my wake up call started my day perfectly. One other down side to consider— St. Louis has an outstanding light rail service that stretches from 25 miles into Illinois all the way to the airport, 25 miles west of the city— but Collinsville is not on the map. So if you are in town wanting to see all the highlights of St. Louis and prefer to use the metro, I recommend you stay at the Fairfield in Fairview Heights, which is only 2 miles from the metro and next to a large mall and many restaurants. That hotel is adjacent to I-64. But if you are coming to town on I-70 or I-55, the Fairfield in Collinsville will provide you a quality stay at a decent price.

Decent Fairfield. Clean, but hasn’t been updated for about 5 – 8 years, I’d say. Bed was comfy. Was on the 2nd floor and folks on the 3rd floor were loud. Definitely would recommend staying on the 3rd floor, away from the elevator. Hotel smelled like pool when we walked in, but not so bad. Sheets were nice and the room over all was in good condition and comfortable. Free wifi.

Great place to stay close to St Louis. Friendly staff and clean rooms. The only negative comment concerns the entrance door. The front door is the old style pull open door which makes it difficult to hold open and pull your luggage through. I would recommend they install a pair of automatic doors for ease of luggage and carts.

Rooms a bit on the small side. Front desk staff seemed nice. They have a small pool nice for kids to expel some energy. Other than that not much to say other than our room was clean, had a small dorm size fridge and microwave. They provide free wifi and seemed ok.
