I went in for my first visit with Shane Michael & found him to be such a delightful person. He did everything that I asked for and listened to me explain to him how I damaged my hair in the past and just wanted to get it healthy again. I was very happy with the outcome and definitely will be a repeat customer. The salon itself is very clean and pleasant. Everyone that works there seems very knowledgable and friendly! I’m lucky to have found this place! :)

I had a pedicure done here recently by Shane! The place is immaculately clean. The staff are very professional and kind. Shane was extremely generous with his time to squeeze me in at the last minute. My feel look beautiful and feet like heaven, days later! What a great experience! I can’t wait to return! Great place. I loved my experience and you will too!

Today was my first time at Verde. I just moved to Collingswood a few months ago and did a fair amount of research before choosing a salon. Verde had great reviews and is a short walk from my apartment, so I gave it a shot.
I arrived for my appointment ten minutes early, and I was greeted warmly and offered a seat on the (very comfy) couch, as well as coffee and water. My appointment was with Shane-​Michael, and shortly before my appointment time, when it was clear that he wouldn’t be finished with his previous client on time, he stopped what he was doing and came over to apologize for running late and asked me what I wanted done with my hair so he would be ready for me when we got started. That’s really great customer service and I was very appreciative for it.
I waited maybe 20 minutes after that, which didn’t bother me since Shane-​Michael let me know I would have to wait before my appointment time even passed. When I finally got into Shane-Michael’s chair, I took a liking to him right away. I’m definitely not a fan of small talk, but he had me cracking up pretty much the whole time. As for the actual hair cut, I just wanted a trim to get rid of my split ends, and he still managed to make me look like I got a whole new hairstyle. I told him that I have little time to do my hair in the morning so I usually just let my hair air dry while I make breakfast and finish getting ready for class, so he went all-​out and curled my hair for me (which looks way better than my natural curls, of course). I loved that he took the extra time to make my hair look extra pretty!
The only thing about my experience today that I could complain about was the extra 20 minute wait, but Shane-​Michael remedied that situation by just taking a couple of minutes to apologize for it. They could have easily left me sitting there waiting around thinking they forgot about me. I will definitely be returning!

This salon is as good as it gets. They have the best in the industry here. Everybody is beautiful and nice! Got an awesome hair cut by Courtney today and will return again and again. Finally, I found a great stylisy in N.J.

3.5 stars. I purchased an Amazon Local «Day of Beauty» voucher which included a spa pedicure, spa manicure, haircut, silk glaze, and makeup application. Giustina did my nails and toes, and Madeline did my hair and makeup. They were both super sweet. The day started with a pedicure, and it was truly a spa pedicure. Giustina used hot towels and fancy foot masks and it felt great. I was pleased with how my toes looked. The manicure was supposed to be a «spa» manicure but it was just a standard file, cuticle trim and polish. I wish my nails were filed a bit more, but thats my fault for not speaking up. Unfortunately no drying agent was used for my pedicure or manicure and my nails and toes both chipped within a day. While Giustina was super nice, I wouldn’t go back there for a manicure or a pedicure based on the very short time that it took my polish to chip. I’m pretty disappointed that I already need another manicure and pedicure 2 days after the services.
Madeline did my hair and makeup, and she did a great job with the cut and style. I appreciated the time that she took styling my hair. I told her that I usually like to wear my hair wavy, and after the blowout she put waves in. I loved my style. She also taught me a few new makeup tricks which I’m now practicing. I would definitely return to Verde for hair services, but skip the nail services. Again, both stylists were super sweet but I’d rather get my nails done at my normal nail salon where the polishes last more than a day without chipping and dryers are used.

Amazing, that’s all I can say. My friend had an appointment here and I was looking to get my hair colored and cut. I’ve never been particularly tied to any one salon and am totally wowed by my experience at Verde, I will definitely be back! I was booked with Diana and asked her to color my hair a subtle pink for fun. She did an amazing job, spot on rose color, and she was so patient with me when I returned to add a bit of blonde to the front. The salon has such a relaxed but professional atmosphere AND they support renewable energy and non-​toxic products to boot! Love it!

After moving from Philadelphia to Collingswood and seeing Verde was a short walk from my new home, I decided to give it a try. I consider myself low maintenance and sporty but was still nervous to try a new salon after so many years! The salon is very clean and neat and not-​too-​quiet-​quiet (LOL). Diana was my stylist and she cut and colored my hair. She gave me exactly what I was hoping for! She was easy to talk to and nice. I am very happy I am so close to a great salon. Diana made me look so much nicer after two stressful months of moving and not really having the time to fix myself up… Diana will definitely be my go to stylist and Verde my go to salon, thank you!

Every single time I go here I am treating so well! You need to see Shane-​Michael! I started going to him a year ago and since then the length of my hair has grown drastically. Not only does he color my hair so well, but he is actually strengthening and repairing my hair. They use certain products to help strengthen your hair and it seems to be working for me! Never thought my hair could get this long! Beautiful salon as well and not too pricey!

Kevin Gatto is sheer genius when it comes to hair! I have never gotten so many compliments on my cut and color, ever! Highly recommended!

This place is a gem. I had it up to here with my hair and decided I needed a cut, like, 5 minutes ago. I got the next best thing. I made an appointment (online, through their amazingly easy website) and only 15 minutes later was being seen by Kristen, who listened to me but probably didn’t need to, because she knew exactly what I wanted/​needed, and gave me a perfect wash, cut and blowdry. My hair looks and feels 100x better. The salon is beautiful and the staff are extremely personable, professional and talented. Prices are great, by the way. Love this place.

I LOVE LOVE this place! Today was my first time there and I’ll definitely be going back :) Kristin was my hair dresser and she was wonderful. She really listened to what I wanted and didn’t try to push any products on my like other salons will do. Everyone there is very friendly as well :) I was happy about the price of bill as well, I was expecting a lot more but it’s reasonable and affordable. 5 stars!

I’m so thankful for Shane-​Michael!!! I read reviews on here about thick, frizzy hair and I had to give him a try — LOVE HIM. He really took the time to understand what I wanted, worked with my hair and really explained what he was going to do and why. I’m going back in two weeks for a Keratin Treatment with him — I cannot wait!

I’ve had my hair dyed here twice, once by Danielle and once by Courtney. Both were outstanding. The first time with Danielle, my hair had lines where you could see the DIY job I did and she fixed it up great before two family weddings. Color plus glaze. Used Unilocal deal or Groupon. June 2014
The second time with Courtney was just a touch-​up. I was honest about more DIY but she said I didn’t need glaze this time (I got better!). I am growing out my hair for upcoming wedding so haven’t had it cut in almost two years. Asked about ends and Courtney said they didn’t look bad. Dec 2014

I loved this place! Courtney was my hair stylist and she completely listened to everything I told her I wanted and did it perfectly. Their whole staff was very friendly and easy to start conversations with. I was offered coffee, tea, or water twice while I was there, which I thought was an awesome touch. They all made me feel very welcome there. I feel terrible though… I asked to tip on my card as I was checking out, but they did not allow tipping on credit cards. I didn’t have my debit card on me to take cash out of the ATM at the Wawa around the corner, so I was stuck tipping Courtney the only cash I had in my wallet at the time. It’s too bad I didn’t know this ahead of time so that I could take money out before my appointment. Now i know for next time! Courtney will het an extra big tip next time to make up for my mistake today.

Awesome salon! I have been a loyal customer for the past 6 years. The Verde staff are highly talented, experienced professionals. I can schedule an appointment with any stylist and/​or colorist with confidence. The staff keeps current with the latest techniques and trends while having mastered the fundamentals.

I’ve had my share of terrible hair experiences. My hair is full and wavy, and there’s a lot of ways that stylists can go wrong with that. Sometimes they try to razor it into submission. Sometimes they cut straight-​across layers so that I look more like a traffic cone than a human. Sometimes they take out the thinning sheers and start cutting huge chunks out for lack of any better ideas of how to tame it. Every time I move to a new place and have to find a new hairdresser, I go with some amount of fear and dread that I’m going to walk out worse than I started.
Thankfully, Caitlin at Verde Salon also has voluminous, wavy hair, and she knows exactly what to do (and what not to do!) with it. I left the salon with a haircut that looked great … and it stayed great the next day, the next week, and for the next few months. Once my hair was getting a little heavy and long I went back to Caitlin, and again she’s given me a great cut.
Besides the usual hairdresser banter about how my day is going, Caitlin talked to me about how to style my hair on a daily basis. She seemed to completely understand that I’m pretty low maintenance with my hair, so her suggestions were all very easy variants on my morning routine, like changing when I brush my hair so that I can retain more of its natural wave.
Overall, the service at Verde is very nice. Making an appointment was no problem. The lady at the front desk is friendly and offers you a drink right away for while you’re waiting. My hair was washed by Caitlin, and the experience felt great and smelled great.
I do get a sense that the staff is encouraged to sell you hair products after your visit, but I think most salons do that. In fact, I’d been looking for a leave-​in conditioner, so I bought one to try, and I’ve been really happy with it. Verde has a ton of promotions running, like becoming a «Verdinista» (a paid membership with benefits), and a buy-​ten-​products-​get-​one-​free card. I would recommend looking up the details of the Verdinista program online before going to the salon because it’s a little overwhelming to stand at the desk and figure out if it’s something that would be worthwhile to you personally.
I would definitely recommend Verde to a friend! Since Unilocal doesn’t have a ton of recent reviews for hair salons in Collingswood, I’m happy to leave a recommendation here as well.

My hair is thick, frizzy, and extremely difficult to work with. It’s always been a struggle to find a good hairdresser, and that is why I am so thankful for Shane-​Michael. I have been going to him since 2011 and will ALWAYS come back. He is pleasant, funny, and a fantastic stylist. I always get compliments on my hair thanks to him!

I recently just moved to Cherry Hill and looking for a trust worthy hairstylist because my hair means the world to me and needs to be in good hands. I found a Groupon and Sabrina cut my hair. I tried to have a nice conversation and she barely initiated anything with me, or she was short. Like «hi! How are you?»… «Fine» was all she said. I felt like i was bothering her. I had a negative impression. The worse part is, she was talkative and goofing with her co-​hairstylists it was just rude. I asked her to trim my hair and ½ inch layers… She rushed through it and I regret going there. I’m not satisfied with the service whatsoever. Not going back.

I have been going to Verde Salon since they opened and have had practically everyone who works there give me a cut, color or manicure.
Sometimes they are very busy, but they are always efficient and friendly. Highly professional and highly recommended!
